Weren't sure what to expect, and most of the maps with Munich insets didn't include the Riemerstrasse so we needed to stop in after exiting/ausfahrting das Autobahn. Locals were most friendly in all of Southern Germany and helped us with directions. Oktoberfest was convenient as there was a bahn stop withing 7 minute walk from hotel. They even lent us an umbrella and we were at the Oktoberfest within an hour and after drinking way too many Spaten biers we managed to navigate through the one transfer and walk to the hotel. Note to self-rain in fall makes for cold at night-but you can actually have the windows open when it's rainign-they move about in every direction-and there is radiant heat for the bath in the morning! The Fruhstuck was excellent and the Pork schnitzel at the restaurant was the best I've ever had-and I eat Bavarian 30 times/year! Room was immaculate. Just remember to put the room key in the energy conserving slot at the door! Oh, very nice bar. Wish they had Spaten in additiona to Paulaner-that's my only comment on that.
