Busy, noisy street so had to keep windows closed, but fantastic location and the apartment was perfect. The kitchen was not brilliantly equipped but enough given nearby restaurants and cafes: small cafe opposite was ideal for breakfast. Service was discreet and helpful when needed, artworks quirky fun, top music system. Much better than any hotel ever used in Rome.

Residence Barberini not to be confused with Hotel Barberini, Residence Barberini further down hill than Hotel. Apartments fab, location fab. It would be good if Reception had a handy hints/directions leaflet and a map in your hotel room. The points I would put in this are 1) If you follow road past Fountain Barberini at the top of the hill is the top of the Spanish Steps (5 min walk). 2) Trevi Fountain 5 min walk in other direction. 3) Quick directions to Vatican, use Metro Barberini (first buy tickets at the Tobacco shop in square). 4) Colosseum quick directions would be handy too, no more than 10 mins away. 5) Caesar lookalikes will charge for photos, flower sellers will force flowers in to hand and then look for money. We only used metro once to get to Vatican as we wanted an early start other than that apartments are a fab central location.

Good location. Easy walk to Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain. Little further, but walkable to Piazza Navona or Ancient Rome. Having two rooms was great, but if that isn't that important to you, I would consider going to another hotel. I think you can get higher quality room for the money if you're only 2 people and don't need the two rooms thing.

Not 5 star qualityI thought the hotel was overrated. Rooms were not clean, kitchen just optimum.Hot water was not available and was avialble only in AM. No restuarant in hotel.I would look for another hotel if u are looking for 4-5 star hotel.
