The free happy hour at the bar. Rooms were too cramped and cheaply renovated. My overall experience here was not too bad. But the service was not much just a hello and there your room. there is no parking near the hotel so plan on walking a couple blocks and dont bother with the valet because it takes them AT Least 30 min to bring your car, and that when there not even busy! The room was really cramped but not bad for two people. The best part was the bed, it was Huge and comfortable. Location is in the heart of south beach just a 2 min walk to the beach.

It was cute, clean, and funky in a great location. There was no comfortable seating area in the room. The shower made my bathroom floor very wet. Great hotel for anyone looking for the South Beach scene. Inexpensive, cute, hip, perfect location, great seating area in the lobby as well as outdoor patio. Definitely good for younger travelers - singles, couples, or small groups of friends. The staff was hit or miss, and some certainly should be recognized as friendly and helpful. However, I wouldn't say the general feel was overly warm and friendly. Overall I enjoyed my stay there.

Was on Collins ave. 1 blk from Ocean Drive. No elevator, but we knew this. hallways are much too dark! This is one of the refurbished, art deco hotels on Collins Ave. For a one or two night stay, it was just what we wanted! Has a nice honor snack & beverage bar in the room and nice toiletries in the bathroom. It appeared clean, bed and pillows were tolerable. Room was small, but that's how the old hotels were. Bathroom in the room. Hallways were so dark, it was very scary. Staff was very friendly. Has a few seats outside with a patio feeling - the bar is just behind the patio. great place to people watch. Meter parking was fine for overnight only yards from the hotel.

The bar. Small bathrooms. Awesome singles hotel! Near ocean drive and all the nightlife! Spent my birthday there! Phenomenal!

do not stay here! the rooms are considered "trendy", but are really bare bones! (the end table is the room's mini fridge with a granite top on it, bathroom door does not lock, shower stall has no door or curtain, large repair of plasterwork on the ceiling was not even sanded down before being painted over, and looks atrocious, hardwood floors in the room are highly waxed and are actually slippery to walk on!). Most of the other guests were very sketchy, hotel hallways are extremely dimly lit (with trendy light fixtures that give off little light at night!) and the doors have no peep holes. with the riff raff guests in the hotel, dim hall lighting, and lack of door latches (standard deadbolts only), any sense of security is nearly nonexistant... and i am a career firefighter for an inner-city fire department, and born and raised in the inner-city, and i STILL wasnt comfortable having my girlfriend staying in this hotel! Also this hotel is micro-managed...the on-duty supervisor was very polite and helpful, but unable to answer even the most rudamentary billing inquries, instead, asking us to wait for morning to ask the manager when he arrived... the billing inquiry involved our checking out ASAP the following morning to move to another hotel!! DISCERNING TRAVELERS, STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!

Horrible, dingy,dirty and roaches. No elevators, dark and weird, not stylish, take it from a new yorker. I bought 2 drinks, put down a 100.00 took back 70 and he took it immediatly assuming it was his tip. UNPROFESSIONAL and ripped me off! after hours we had fun on the outside couches but the bartender charged me 40 bucks for 2 drinks cause it was late and he could rip me off. DO NOT GO, cheap yes, but you get what you pay for. the hallways are dark, almost black.

if you are going to hang out in miami for a few days, then you will likely not be in your hotel room that much. the room itself was clean, bathroom, clean. it is bare bones, but really do you care? i didn't. as long as it's clean, has a bed, functioning bathroom, and no roachies, then I am OK! the hallways are darkly lit, but I was travelling with friends, so I never was alone. The front desk man has limited english skills. THe one thing I would recommend is to confir your reservation at least once or twice before you get there. Last time I went they "lost" my reservation and the group that followd behind me in line. We were still accomodated, but if you are going on a busy holiday then I would definitely cofirm, because they may be all booked up and if you get there and they have no reservation for you, you could end up majorly screwed. btw, I am in my late 20s and I stayed here. I probably wouldn't stay here during spring break time because I am sure there are a lot of kids that use this hotel, during those months.

The lighting in the hallway is extremely dark, the maid staff does not understand english. Becareful using your credit card there was a large amount of money taken from my credit card with no explaination just confusion.
