Although the staff was friendly and helpful the maintainence of the hotel paticularly the lift (elevator) was unacceptable. We stayed for ten nights and only had a lift three of those days. Considering we were staying on the sixth floor and had to lug our luggage up a narrow staircase and down again. One night they ran out of towels and we had to shower with only a hand towel to dry off with. This hotel had been listed as a three star we felt that this was an over statement of the value and should be only be a one or two star at the very most. Like I said before, the staff was a definate mitigating factor but the lack of an elevator for such an extended time was not an experience I would care to experience again.

Good location for a city breakGood location if you are coming or leaving from Gare de Lyon. Small, clean, essential rooms but quite expensive even with the late room discount.

Very friendly, helpful staff. A hotel as good or better than other much more expensive ones I've stayed in in Paris. Excellent value for the money.

staff was very friendly and helpful, close to train station bathroom was cramped, could not stand in tub, This hotel is walking distance from the Gare de Lyon (major train and metro station) and very convenient to the lively Bastille neighborhood. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the rooms and furnishings seem dated. I would not recommend getting a room on the top floor as the ceilings are slanted due to the roof and makes it feel cramped. This was especially a problem in the bathrooms where we could not stand up fully in the tub because of the sloping ceiling.
