35th AnniversaryThe Room we stayed in was like a box room, bed was just a bit larger than a single, we were told this was a french double! it was pushed against the wall so you had to climb over other person to get out, ok if you are a couple of 18yr olds but we are in our 50s .The room shown in the review must have been from a different hotel. Evening Reception friendly, day reception should learn to smile.

Good Location for SightseeingThe asccomodation was clean and about what we expected. Th customer service was a bit lacking in particular from the reception area where the staff were more intent on answering phones than customer queries. There was a problem with the Taxi arrangements which they did resolve asnd accepted their error (eventually). Overall we would go back to the hotel and enjoyed the central location of the hotel.

No room available on arrivalWhen I arrived at this hotel at 10pm after several hours travelling I was told the room I had booked on-line was not available and I would have to stay somewhere else.I returned to the Virgilio at 6pm the following day by which time they had a room for me. Accomodation was ok, though towels were not changed during my stay.Very central, and Rome is a fabulous city.

Awful The hotel was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. There was about 10 inches at the end of the bed to walk around. We had to let one person pass before you could get through. The bathroom had filthy mould on the ceiling and didn't look like it had a proper clean for ages.
