The bathroom was clean. There were dead bugs on the floor, and giant cobwebs. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who will be spending more than two nights. The door would not open to the first room we were assigned. We waited outside in the heat for 20 minutes until maintenance arrived and opened the door. When we finally got into the room it was hotter in the room than it was outside. After we were unable to turn the A/C on we called for maintenance again. It only took them about 5 minutes to arrive. The maintenance man was great. Once he quickly ascertained that the A/C was broken. He helped us with our bags and had turned on the A/C in the new room. The room was relatively clean, but there were a couple of dead bugs on the floor and really big cobwebs. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets were clean. The bathroom was very clean, and the A/C worked great. I don't recommend this hotel if you are planning a long stay, but if you just need a place to lay your head for a couple of nights.

Checking out was the best part of this hotel. Front desk staff was rude, hallway outside of room smelled like marijuana very noisy unable to sleep staff said it is normal for that part of town. I wouldn't even recommend this hotel to my enemies. Hotel is surrounded by strip clubs and chapels and was very noisy. Hallways smelled like marijuana carpets were stained and very dirty. Staff was very rude and unhelpful especially the front desk staff.

Quick check-in, quick check-out. Terrible area, dirty, far from strip hotels, old building. It was a busy weekend in Vegas due to a convention. The only place I found was this Howard Johnson. Knew it would be a two star hotel but could not go wrong with the brand name. Was I wrong? It was so bad, I decided to leave town and cut my pre-paid stay short. Old, dirty, crack dealers on the street as you try to walk closer to the first set of hotels on the strip. Don't do it. You'll leave with the bad side of Vegas in mind and might not go back.

We went to Las Vegas for the end of the year 2008. We stay to nights from Dec 31 to Jan2, 09. I can say the this hotel has been the worst we ever had stayed. The room was dirty, dark and the beds were in very bad condition. One bed was wiggling all the time. The carpet was so dirt. We try to find my son's shoe, we looked under the beds and over there was a lot of trash I assumed from others customers. The second day, they supposed to clean the room, but they only did the beds. The floor continued so dirty and they don't even wipe a little table in the room. We were so upset about this room. We won't ever come back to this hotel. Was horrible

I booked this hotel the day before I had to leave, the price was right. When I got to the hotel, I found that it was less than a block from the wedding chapel where my daughter was to be married. The staff service was excellent and always had a smile. The lobby was will maintained and clean. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the pillows(some hotel pillows are to soft)were just right. I called the front desk to let them know I had no remote for the TV and that the phone cord was damaged with 5min someone was at my door with the remote and a new phone cord. The day before I was to check out I needed to print out my boarding pass, the clerk at the front desk told me they didn't have any more cards, that I could purchase so I could use the computer, I was informed that they would have some by 9am the next day. I informed the clerk I had a 7am flight and the shuttle was to pick me up at 5am. He asked me for my flight information and printed out my boarding pass for me. I will be staying here again.

Nice lobby & nice staff. Room was nice but the remote for tv did not work and a nob was missing on microwave. Otherwise room was clean. Pool was very nice. I would stay again. This hotel is located between the strip & downtown. So you have a choice of where you want to go.

It did not burn down while I was there. It was dirty and the carpet smelled and the TV was horrible. This hotel was very substandard. I stayed in the Luxor the next night.

Not one thing! Where do I begin! Filthy room, bad neighborhood and management that does not care. I vacated this hotel within 15 minutes of checking in and I left on foot! I was refused a refund! I feel that I have been taken advantage of! I can not believe that a place like this can be up to health code!

We made reservations the mornings we left to be there and when we arrived they said we did not have reservations later we found out they wrote the wrong name down for the reservation. But we got a cheap rate that is why we chose to stay at this hotel. When I first got in my room I liked the view of the pool and all but the longer my stay the more I disliked this hotel. They have cockroaches in their lobby and in your rooms! At night I was eaten alive by the bugs in my room.

Clean, convenient, friendy, and helpful. AC was loud. The hotel was not to far from every place you want to go, it was quiet except the AC unit was loud, the staff was friendly and helpful. Its a place I recommend when on a budged.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was close to the strip. Nothing about it really bothered me. I read the reviews of other patrons and I truly don't know why there were so many complaints. The hotel and the room were very clean. The room was good sized. The bed was very comfortable. There was a nice pool with a fountain located on the premises. It was two blocks away from the stratosphere. My husband won $10 on the slot machine in the lobby as soon as we arrived. For the price, it was extremely reasonable and the accommodations were good. The staff was friendly and courteous. It is close to a couple of strip clubs, but if that sort of thing bothers you, then don't go to Vegas!
