Wonderful beds, the staff was very helpful, great use of the shuttle. I liked being a little away from the strip. Wonderful helpful staff. Beds were really comfortable. Nice continental breakfast, clean heated pool. Shuttle was a great!

When the wind shifts McCarran Airport which is just half mile (distance is from the hotel?s website) away changes their arriving/departure flight patterns placing the Hyatt Place directly under the departure flight pattern. With just a half mile from airport to hotel the planes are very low when passing over the hotel. At midnight we decided to give it a count, 6 flights taking off directly over our hotel in just 10 minutes. The hotel was not built/designed as a Hyatt Place; rather it is a converted Amerisuites, which could explain its sub par noise insulation. The rooms depicted on the hotel's website are a generic representation of an average room in the Hyatt Place chain, not an actual room at the Las Vegas hotel. The rooms in Las Vegas, rather than having a screen separate the two portions of the room had a 4'X5', floor to ceiling divider that housed the in room air conditioner (loud) which also made the area around king bed much smaller. This place does not deserve the Hyatt name and is no where up to the standards of Marriott's value chains, Residence Inn, Fairfield or Courtyard chains. Okay, the large LCD television rocks, but it did not makeup for the rest of the issues.

Convenient and good for first night. Nothing, a little away from everything though. Clean and friendly. Good place for your money. Convenient to Hard rock cafe and cheap eats.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the fact that it had a nice living room area to relax and a large flat panel television. The bed was very comfortable and cozy and the small refrigerator was a very nice touch also. It was far enough away from the Las Vegas strip to enjoy a quiet stay but close enough for us to enjoy Vegas night life! I would highly recommend this establishement!

Friendly staff, room was perfectly cleaned every day, secure place in good area. We stayed at this hotel a year ago when it was Amerisuites . It became more fancy, free breakfast not so good, but overall we enjoyed our stay. Didn't hear any noise outside, service was very good.

Convenient location (not too far from The Strip), great spacious rooms and free buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay again. On the flight path for the airport but we only heard planes during the day, not at night.

The hotel is in a nice location if you have business at UNLV. It is very near the Hard Rock so we ate most meals there. Walking from Hyatt to Hard Rock - we did not always feel secure. If you stay here, rent a car. There is a CVS across the street and they also have a small package store. The food was mediocre at best. The "free" breakfast was just all carbs, (waffles, bagel, toast, juice), so if you need some protein in the AM, you have to either walk over to the Hard Rock or pay a high fee for a very small "gourmet" breakfast which is actually just a pre-made frozen thing they heat up in microwave since there is no kitchen on site. There was no lounge or drink service on site, but one of the employees told us they are planning on offering this one a limited basis soon. They had an airport shuttle, but getting it was a hassle. I had to wait a long time. If I had known that, I would have taken a cab - it is not so far from the airport. I think my friend paid less than $10 fare. They don't have a regular Strip shuttle service, but they will take you to Planet Hollywood at certain times of the day. Overall, if you can get this for a very good rate and/or you want to be near UNLV or Hard Rock, it's an OK deal.

We stayed at this hotel a year ago when it was Amerisuites. We liked it very much. Now its more upscale and less friendly. Free breakfest is very limited, and we didn't find any complementary coffe or tea 24 hours, as is advertised. Kitchen utensils change to minimal (one cup coffe maker for instant coffe, refrigerator, cups and glasses). Before they had kitchen with microwave, plates, silverware, coffiemaker and coffee, tea, sugar etc. Now there is a very nice cafe downstares, but too pricey for us. Last year it was many young people from different countries and families with kids, this time we didn't see any. Our stay is not over yet, but we are sure will not use this hotel again. For business travelers it may be ok, but we'll miss Amerisuites.

Amerisuites is changing to Hyatt, improvements completed were very nice, 3 floors of six were under construction still, no signs telling where vending/ice machine could be found (front desk), Hyatt provides USA Today but no way to purchase a Las Vegas Review Journal daily newspaper, vital to those unfamiliar with Las Vegas food and entertainment offers. Excellent convenient location for UNLV, area hospitals, Strip, shopping, airport, mass transit, fine and casual dining, very near gambling, easy to get on freeway system from hotel. Brand new beds are heaven, seven pillows Wow! I miss microwave, dishes, utensils. I travel alone and often eat in room. I always feel safe here staying alone. Clean well lighted property, security always present day or night. Very accommodating front desk people, friendly, bright, smiling, pleasant experience.

arrived around 10:30pm, no hot water, called front desk, was told no one else was having a problem. next morning ran out of hot water before i finished my shower. went to front desk and a service man was sent to room, told he could not find a problem. my wife and daughter were able to take their showers without running out of hot water. ? what gives? went down for the complimentary continental breakfast- waited forever for a elevator only to find out 1 of the 3 elevators was broken, the dining room was bedlam, people standing around waiting for coffee, no english muffins or bagels, no silverware. we gave up and then had to compete with the housekeeping staff and other guests for an elevator. fortunatlely there was a starbucks across the street so i went and bought breakfast then we left. On the positive side the room was nice, great big screen tv. We stayed there last year when Hilton owned it and had a very positive experience. Needless to say we will look for another place next year.
