Proximity to the T lines. Awkward getting from street to lobby. This hotel was in a good location for transportation throughout Boston. The beds were comfortable, the room was nicely done although a tad small, the room and bathroom were clean. Not many TV stations. The staff was helpful.

Concierge was very helpful with business services. Restaurant staff was rude. Cost of Internet, and business services were insane. Staff friendliness varies a lot! Concierge was great but restaurant staff was rude, and pretentious.

The bed was amazing and felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. No fan in bathroom, Elevators acted up, Lobby on second floor. Overall, my stay at the Hyatt-Regency in Boston was great. It was very easy to get to, and despite what other reviewers have indicated, the parking was fairly priced ($43/night) for overnight valet parking, with in/out privileges. The hotel was able to accommodate my room requests with no hesitation and everybody I spoke to, both over the phone and in person were very very nice and friendly and eager to make my stay an enjoyable one. The staff at the hotel were available as needed and were open with recommending local sites to visit and restaurants to eat at. There were no problems at all with this hotel, and the beds were amazing - Feels like you are sleeping on a cloud.

The concierge (Stephan especially) was awesome, staff was exceptional. No complimentary breakfast. The hotel was beautiful! It had a small boutique hotel feeling but is actually fairly large. The rooms were comfortable, the beds amazing, and the friendliest staff I have ever encountered.

The room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. Friendly professional staff. The door deadbolt would not engage, the locale was difficult to get to by auto, The bathroom's poorly lit. The hotel has a great location near Downtown Crossing and other historic sites. The rooms are elegantly appointed and spacious, and the bed & linens fabulous!

The staff always pleasant and helpful. The pool very far away from rooms and hard to get to. Great staff, great room. Restaurant very expensive ($26.00 for a buffet breakfast) and the pool was a very long way from rooms and complicated to get to.

Will never stay again!! Birthday weekend celebration was ruined except for great Boston restaurants--Craigie on Main and Stella. First room was unbearalbly hot 77 degrees with window open and maintenance couldn't fix, so had to downgrade from corner room with king to small room with two doubles and had to move at midnight. After packing up and moving to second room, the heat/cooling not working in that room either and maintenance had to be called to fix. House keeper in the am just flipped over the topper and remade the bed. Rooms are ugly, paint chipped, even the bar downstairs is worn. I guess Hyatt isn' t what it used to be.

My wife and I visited Boston for a 4 night, 5 day trip in March 2009. We had never been to Boston before, and as visitors, location was key. We weren't renting a car and wanted to be close to everything. The Hyatt Regency is located in the heart of the theater district. It is a 5 minute walk to Boston Commons and another 5 minutes to Beacon Hill and the bar that inspired the sitcom ""Cheers."" It takes 15 minutes to walk to Fanueil Hall and the market, and maybe another 5 minutes to get to the fabulous North End restaurants. The Hyatt is close to T stops (the subway), shops and other attractions. It is in a safe neighborhood and close to everything. The hotel itself has obviously been renovated in the last few years. I travel quite extensively for business, and can attest that this hotel is GREAT for business (meeting rooms, business center, workout gym, etc) AND vacation purposes. My wife and I loved the comfortable bed and warm, comfy rooms. The showers were huge with great water pressure. No complaints about the room at all. The Conceirge desk is manned by knowledgeable and helpful staff members and we followed their advice often. EVERY SINGLE PERSON at the HYATT was exceptionally polite and completely devoted to our satisfaction. The Doormen and Bellmen were professional, polite, happy and totally concerned about providing us a quality stay. We won't stay anywhere else when we go to Boston. Only a few negatives. The business center offers internet, but at 50 cents per minute. Kind of felt nickel/dimed on that. Also, the breakfast at the hotel restaurant is expensive ($26) and quite honestly, not good. Skip it and go to Zaftigs in Brookline.

I stayed here a few weeks before Christmas 2008. Check in I believe was sometime mid-afternoon. I arrived around 11AM, couldn't check in because it was too early, which I was fine with. So I spent the day in Boston, came back around 6:30PM, and there were ""no rooms available."" It wasn't that they were full, they just hadn't cleaned them all. I said a little more than ""Are you serious?"" but I need to change for an outing at 7:30PM. I was instructed all I could do was go into the fitness room/locker room and change into my dress clothes. First of all, that is just humuliating. I was on a ""waiting list"" for rooms to be ready about 15 people long. They were to call me when a room was ready--they called me at 8:15PM. How RIDICULOUS is that? I had less than 12 hours at my room, as I had to leave early in the morning. I was VERY unhappy, but management wouldn't do anything. I was sent a survey and I asked specifically for management to contact me and guess what, they didn't. Obviously they have staff or management problems. I felt bad for the front desk clerk, as she was having to tell everyone while the manager hid out in the back room. Room was decent other than multiple light bulbs out and smell of smoke in a non-smoking room. Door attendants were VERY nice and helpful though. Never again.

We spent Memorial Day weekend at the Hyatt Regency and had a fantastic time. It was our 5 yr wedding anniversary and the great staff upgraded our hotel and we had a great view!! It was close to the T, which we used for the times we didn't feel like walking. The location of the hotel was good- walking distance to most places. We would definitely stay there again!

Asked to have A/C turned on at 6:30pm and were told someone would be there in 10 minutes. Left the hotel and notified front desk that technician had not arrived. Returned to hotel at 11:30pm and still did not have any A/C. Had to wait 15 minutes for technician to arrive. This hotel needs to supply more than one face cloth in the bath. They also need to attach large print to honor bar, stating that this is not a refrigerator. If you need a fridge, i.e. for meds, formula, etc., then you have to request one from management. Otherwise, if you move anything in the fridge compartment, you will be immediately charged for that item. Wait time for elevators was ridiculous. One elevator was down and another elevator stopped on the 14th floor on each run for no reason. We lost considerable time (10 - 20 minutes) at the bank of elevators.

Every employee we met was very helpful and cheerful. The room was beautiful but small. I prefer bedding without feathers. It was centrally located for what we wanted to do. Employees were outstanding. The lobby could have used furniture for relaxing/visiting with others.

You can't miss choosing this hotel for a visit to Boston. Its location is great for those who enjoy walking -- everything is within walking distance. Rooms were clean and comfortable and service was excellent. Make an appointment for a massage in health and fitness facility. Best massage ever and was perfect after four days of walking Boston and Cambridge. When we go back it will be to this hotel!

I was angry at the fact that the hotel would not even provide a single free computer to access the Internet. I had to use my credit card just to check the weather and reserve tickets for the aquarium. The only free Internet access you get in the hotel is for flight reservation. The hotel is well located and makes it easy to access all of Bostons public transportation. Clean hotel.
