Location is great! Path can go to the Manhattan easily. We had a corner room so we can not have a full view of the Manhattan city. I prefer higher hotel price that include breakfast.

The lack of cleanliness in this hotel was appealing. This hotel did have excellent views and was conveniently located right next to the path train which only cost $1.75 for the short ride to Downtown NYC. The concierge was also extremely helpful and friendly. Unfortunately it was difficult to find many other positives about the hotel as we were extremely disappointed with our experience there. Housekeeping did replace this chair, however we did later notice that there were several other issues in relation to cleanliness. The floor did not appear to have been vacuumed, the bed throw had several stains on it, towels had not been provided and finally, we noticed that there was a dirty sock at the side of the bed which really highlighted the poor housekeeping standards within this hotel.

The hotel is clean. Very modern looking. Rooms are excellent. Bathroom is - wow. But then there is the fact that water costs $3, internet costs something ;not sure, wasn't brave enough to find out;, no complimentary breakfast, breakfast menu was exorbitantly overpriced. Desk was helpful but not friendly. Restaurant and bar - wayyy too expensive. Food is okay. Proximity to transportation almost makes up for the rest of the shortcomings. Bus, rail, PATH and ferry are all very close - great for getting around.

Just a subway ride to NY, Clean, not crowded, Great Italian places just blocks away. The skyline view from the river is great at nite, Get a water taxi in the evening and go from NJ to the Statue of Liberty from NJ, tip, ask for a river view and buy multiple subway trips, take an apple from the counter everytime you pass by, enjoy the stay.

This Hyatt is a jewel. This is the best kept secret of New York. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed. The view from this hotel is superb. The best skyline views of Manhattan and the Hudson River will greet you from the moment that you enter the hotel, till the moment that you leave. With every room, you have a wonderful view of the skyline of New York City. Transportation is easy. Take the PATH train into World Trade Center or farther into the City to 34th Street. Once in the City, you can take the New York City subway system. This hotel is in a great location, with great views, with friendly staff. The hotel does not look like much from the outside, but once you are inside, you will not be disappointed with the quality of this hotel. This is one of Hyatt's best hotels. Hyatt has many wonderful hotels, but you are visiting New York, stay here... I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the location. The statue of liberty is moments away from the hotel. And, New York is less than a 5 minute train ride away. Walk around Ground Zero to the big glass building adjacent to Ground Zero that looks like an large glass dome, for the best views of Ground Zero (1 Financial Center), I think is the address to this building. This view of Ground Zero is a must, so you can reflect upon what happened on that day. After you have visited Ground Zero, you day in New York and the fun begins from the moment you leave your hotel. You must visit China town, 34th Street, NBC, the sea port, central park... You can do all of that in one day. - Unlimited Metro Card....

The location was really convenient. The indoor heated pool was cold in March. Great service check-in and out was easy; the concierge helpful and if they didn't know something, they did their best to find out. Convenient location you get a quick train 4min to the Path station and then hop onto the E Chambers St. Or other local MTA Subways a short 3-5 min walk away that take you straight into the city.

We loved everything! The room was great, the workout room and pool were great and the staff was excellent! $23.00 for a pot of coffee delivered was a bit steep! They Hyatt on the Hudson was a spectacular hotel. Everything from the staff to the room was wonderful. Our room looked out over the river to lower Manhattan and the path access could not have been better. We had a small snafu, when we parked our car in a public parking garage that was not open over the Holiday weekend and the Hotel was able to extend our stay by one night at a very reasonable rate. I would definitely recommend anyone planning a trip to NYC consider staying at the Hyatt on the Hudson. Our family truly enjoyed our stay!

Great location to explore NYC. Algae around pool. This is the place to stay to explore NYC. 1 PATH stop away from NYC! There were flaws. There was a wide swath of algae around the outside of the pool. Restaurant, parking ($32 day) and room service were expensive. But these were small things in the overall experience and within our ability to make choices about. The view is wonderful. The use of mass transit easy and staff was friendly and helpful. Consider this hotel to see the new Yankee Stadium as we did.

Fantastic view of NYC skyline and statue of liberty, Very convenient transportation to NYC and Liberty State Park. Lovely promenade outside of hotel. Poor service-- room not completely vacuum for couple of days, bed linens were not rearranged each morning. Did not fix bathroom room stopper. Excellent hotel for budget minded traveler who are visiting NYC with the best proximity to Manhattan and great access to diff transportation. Path Train station is right next to the hotel, water taxi terminal and car rental office (1.5 blocks) nearby. We felt very safe walking around the neighborhood during the day and night and to/from the Path train station. Police has great presence there during rush hours. During the day, there are many office workers. And at night, everyone is out taking an evening stroll with their family, dogs and exercising by the promenade which is right outside of the hotel. They honored and topped all our requests before our trip for a busy holiday weekend--a 2 double-bed room with a crib, a view of statue of Liberty on the 7th floor. It was an older hotel with stylish furnishing and clean rooms/bathroom. The pool and fitness center has a great view of the Manhattan. But, the service at the hotel was disappointing. Our broken bathroom stopper wasn't fixed at all after 2 requests; we even took it out for them and the staff just simply stuffed it back in. And we made 3 requests for the porter for our luggage on our departure. Our rooms were not completely vacuumed for a couple of days. The cereals that my infant son threw on the carpet behind the desk chair at the corner were left unattended. Our extra pillows, bed cushions and blankets were left on the sofa chair where we put them at bedtime for days. On-site parking was ridiculous; the worst we had experienced ($35 for overnight). So, we abandoned our car rental and took public transportation to Manhattan and Liberty State park instead. It is one stop to the old WTC site where you have access to at lea

Location was great because it was so close to NYC, but the hidden gem was visiting Ellis Island & the Sol and not waiting in the massive NY lines! Only odd element would may be that the 1st two floors were below the main lobby. When staying on the 2 floor you have to fight the impulse to not go up. Overall, staff was super friendly, very helpful and nice! Gorgeous views of the city - and if you don't mind the path, great way to save money without NYC hotel pricing. Breakfast and rest prices a tad high though, even though food was good. But $23 for heat lamped continental breakfasts were a little pricey. (Only comparing those prices to that of the (Vegas) Bellegio for $30- which of course had much more of a selection and everything made for the most part fresh there. But would like to repeat that the staff was very courteous and friendly!

It was clean and close to everything. Seconds from the Path train and excellent views from many rooms. Our room had a view of the Empire State Building. The only suggestion would be for the rooms on the 1st floor to have one way windows so you can open the curtain and not worry about people seeing in. This hotel boasts an extraordinary view of the Manhattan Skyline as well as Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. It is conveniently located near the path train, which brings you right into Manhattan for $1.50 each way. The hotel was clean and the service was excellent. The concierge was extremely knowledgeable on which subways to take and answered all our questions. The food in the Vu restaurant was amazing and I would classify it as 5 star restaurant. The views were amazing from the restaurant, the lounge and our room. I have already told a dozen people about our experience and believe me they will be visiting the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City very soon. And we will most definitely return as well.

Its proximity to NY city. Nothing. You walk out the door and your footsteps to the Path train which is 5 minutes to World Trade center, beautiful view of Manhattan, very nice work out facilities and a variety of restaurants a short 5-6 blocks away.

The chefs creative menu was A+. Pool too shallow @ 4.5 feet max depth. Went for the view and location away from the hustle bustle of Manhattan. Very convenient location to WTC - first stop on PATH train. Very quick ride to hotel from Liberty Park where we took the ferry out to Ellis Island and Liberty Island. Will be back soon!

Excellent location beside the PATH. Very quick commute to NYC! All of our needs were met. No complaints. Very convenient location beside the PATH station which makes for a quick trip into Manhattan. We had a great view of the Hudson River/Statue of Liberty, which was simply breath taking at night! Our room was very spacious with two double beds (even though we did not request nor really need such an accommodation). No noise complaints. We had already purchased a day pass using T-Mobile which enabled us to use fast and reliable high speed internet in our room. Can't comment on the room service or restaurants as we did not use them during our stay. Overall we were very pleased with this hotel!

Beautiful and convenient to New York City. Swimming pool was small and cold with no hot tub or sauna. Just about every room has a view of Manhattan across the Hudson. The rooms were spacious and clean. The valet parking was expensive, but it was convenient to park and use the path train or the ferry to reach New York city. The neighborhood was safe and transportation options very accessible.

Awesome view of the Hudson and Manhattan. Room temperature not cool enough for the season. Our stay at the hotel was great. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel room was decorated very nicely and had a beautiful view. Plus it was next-door to the Path. The hotel staff were courteous without being intrusive. One minor detail the hotel had not yet turned on their cooling system (according to the reservation desk) so the room was a little warm so we opened the window every night.

Location and view. Ice bucket had water in it. We thought it was great for the most part: location, view, amenities. Opening the ice bucket, though, and finding water in it was a bit off-putting. We also stayed there during a cold spell and though the walk between the hotel and Path Station was very short, it was also a sheet of ice. It would have been nice for the hotel to salt a path for guests.

The location is next door to the PATH. The bathroom needs renovation. I have stayed here before, and had beautiful accommodations. The stopper in the sink did not work, the water could not be adjusted in the shower, and the spigot coming into the bath tub was literally falling off. But, what do I expect for such a low price?

Location to path. Valet Parking Price is steep for this side of the Hudson. The Sheraton in Weehawken has free parking. Pleasant People. Close to a couple of good late night eateries including a 24 hour diner and a UNO Pizzerias. Path train is convenient and safe. Parking should be closer to $20.00 let's face it, it's not Manhattan.

Very clean and good looking. The bar's food is not great. If you are looking for a nice place to stay near New York City this is the place. Right at the exit of the path train, you can easily travel to New York City anytime you like. The hotel is very nice with a good room and nice views. They have good facilities, the only downside is that there are not many shops around and many of them do not open during the weekend.

Amazingly convenient to Manhattan, for all the amenities. Not much in the vicinity. I stayed with my two sons (ages 7 and 14) at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson for 5 nights during a recent trip to Manhattan. The access to Manhattan was quick and easy (just minutes), the views from our room were great, and the room was comfy and clean. So, particularly if you're traveling with kids, be sure to think ahead and stock up on drinks and snacks and maybe some breakfast food.

This hotel is very conveniently located next to a PATH subway station (one stop to WTC in NY city). I was traveling on the weekend for business in NY city and most of the guests at this hotel were there for weddings and proms. The room was very nice however not fully cleaned (found some items in one of the drawers left over from the prior guest). The location has some great views of the city however there is not much nearby (restaurants, etc.) unless you are there during the daytime.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms and surrounding are very safe, comfortable, clean. The soap and shampoo had not been refilled, internet access have to be paid ($5 for 10 minutes). I would recommend this hotel to every one. During our stay in December before Christmas there were some savings (we think): no doorman, internet access costs $5 for 10 minutes, the soap and shampoo had not been refilled. But it is ok. Our stay was great and this hotel is one of the best we every stayed at.

Staff was outstanding. Very friendly and genuine. For the excessive price of breakfast, the quality was not there. The hotel was great. The facility is fantastic. The rooms were a nice size even for a family of four. They were very clean and comfortable. Every staff member was terrific. They were very friendly, talkative, engaged and very quick to please. This holds true for the bell staff, front desk, concierge and housekeeping. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location. Hotel parking was way too expensive, $32 per day and internet was not free. Great and safe location, easy access to NYC via PATH train. Hotel front desk people were friendly and kind enough to help us get an upgrade to a king-sized bed room with NYC city view. The gym was awesome - each treadmill was equipped with TV screen panel and the view was great.
