It was very convenient for our purposes. Parking is a major problem. Very clean and modern. This hotel is over 30 years old but it does not show its age.

Nice hotel, nice location, friendly helpful staff. Parking. Was very pleased with our room, comfortable and clean. The hotel was downtown close to other activities which were within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arose. Was very pleased with our experience.

Great view of phoenix. Have to pay 16.00 to park. Great. Much better than the roach motels down the road! Great helpful staff!

The location, Downtown Phoenix, and Heated-Pool. Had to pay for the parking. Leisure travelers - it meets the expectation for the 1 to 2 day stay, more than 3 days and added expense of parking will deter a return customer for business traveler who has expense account may be more suitable.

The Hyatt Regency is fighting a losing battle with regard to its pricing policies. This Hyatt gives a good account of itself with rooms and service. However, the problem stems from the question of cost. There are many more hotel chains (Marriot for one) that give just as good value with staff, service, and overall experience and do not gouge the hotel guest. After overpaying for services that other chains include for free and meals that are grossly overpriced for what is received, then it is not a question of service it is a question of cost. While this particular hotel was good in the amenities it pales in comparison to other hotels nearby with its cost. So, please stay if you don't care if you overpay but don't complain when you get the bill. Why did we stay here? - We had an event we had to attend at this specific location.

This is a nice hotel, rooms are a little small, but, comfortable. Staff very friendly, answered all questions and if they didnn't know the answer would find out and let us know later. Great location if you're going to a Phoenix Sun game or baseball game otherwise, not much downtown to do. Is easy to find highways and freeways from this location. Close to the airport. Pool is a little small, basically for wading. Was only 3 feet deep. Only major problem we had was there weren't any snack machines so if you got back to the room late and wanted a snack (chips, candy) you didn't have any options. Nothing close by either. Pop machines on each floor but, no snack machines.

I got stuck at this place throuh a priceline offer, and really lived to regret it. The problem for me was that I was on a somewhat limited budget and this hotel has no parking facility of its own, or at least one that's free. So, I had to fork out an additional 19 dollars per day to park my car. I could have easily stayed in Scottsdale or even a number of other places in Phoenix, and not had to pay a penny to park. I would expect something like that in New York, but it just seemed greedy in an area where so many other properties have a place to park for free.
Other than that, the hotel was okay, but dated. The staff was fine. I did not have much time nor need of any of the various amenities, so I can't comment on that. No free WiFi was just another surprise.
As I say above, if your trip is taking you in the area for any reason, look for something else. They may have a good offer in front, but pile on so many added fees, that you'd be better off staying elsewhere.

I was entertaining clients with a stay at the Hyatt downtown and a Cubs/Diamondbacks playoff game. While all the room amenities and front desk courtesy was what you'd expect for a Hyatt, the service in the Compass Room, the hotel's rotating restaurant, was horrible. It wasn't busy at all but for whatever reason, we always had to track down our server...it's not a big place, but she was nowhere to be found. After putting up with totally inattentive service off and on for an hour and a half, we left. We decided to try their lobby bar, which was hoppin. The thing I didn't understand was that our bill for two rounds of drinks upstairs was slightly LESS than one round of drinks downstairs. Yet, another disappointment.
Basically, I wanted to impress my guests and in the end felt more like a schmuck for expecting something other than what we got. Oh well. Perhaps it's an aberration, but it was my experience, anyway.

We were provided with a room with a great view; nothing was broken or out of order and the staff's attention to our needs were superb. You could not watch TV in bed due to the placement of the furniture. This hotel has an efficient, friendly, and professional staff. The room was immaculate and attractive.

It was absolutely excellent! The staff was superb! I would stay every time I'm in Phoenix! The room service food. The first thing that I noticed about the hotel was the prime location. I was also struck by the beautiful design of the hotel architecture. The room was supreme and well appointed. This was a great stay! I am grateful for the reasonable price I was afforded as I would never be able to stay - it was truly a 3+ star location!

Very comfortable bed, excellent concierge very expensive and inconvenient amenities Doesn't include the typical amenities that you would expect. No business center or complimentary wi-fi internet. Very expensive, and ineffecient valets. I heard from several guests that the restaurant was nearly 100.00 per meal, yet the worse they'd ever had. Excellent concierge employee. She was able to identify several local gems.

The bedding was wonderful, comfortable, the pillows excellent. The pool was really small and shallow. In the heart of Downtown Phoenix within walking distance of restaurants and activities. Quiet, clean and a relaxing experience.

Great services and location was ideal. No complaints. The Hyatt was wonderful. We were located right in the downtown ASU area. Plenty of places for dining and shopping, area was secure, had covered parking and was ideal for our situation.

The staff was extremely friendly at both the front desk and also the bar that we had soem drinks at. The beds however were kind of small and extrememly hard. The tv was kind hard to use and when we did figure it out, there were pretty much no options for channels. Also, there was no access to internet unless you pay like $30 or you sat in the lobby.

Desk staffs very helpful despite late check-in and early check-out. Location awkward with all the construction in phoenix. Nice hotel in good neighborhood except that the construction in the downtown area makes for getting around with out GPS nearly impossible. You need to be aware of the road construction when planning the trip. Otherwise the hotel was excellent. Beds comfy and sheets super soft.

A descent upscale quality hotel that makes one comfortable. Parking fees ($22 per day) was too high and Downtown street parking can not park more than 1 hour. The hotel itself is very nice for the price I bid. The room was very decent and full of amenities like feather pillows and comforter. However, the parking fees ($22 for valet parking and $12 for self parking) could easily offset any saving. There is only one or 2 restaurants opened during public holiday in the Downtown area where this hotel is located beside the more expensive ones inside the hotel itself.
