Hotel staff was excellent. Did no like that the hotel tacked on addition $30 resort fee. Hotel location is excellent in terms of proximity to golf, dining, and Monterey area attractions. The rooms have been remodeled and are very clean and the gym was top notch. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were upgraded to a suite because they were out of rooms with two beds. They had two roll away beds for our children delivered before we even got to our room. The service was top notch.

Thin walls, floors and ceilings. I could hear people upstairs walking around quite clearly.

Nice lobby, clean facilities for the most part, seemingly good restaurants, but unfortunately didn't get a chance to check them out.

It was very upscale and had a great fitness room/equipment. Did not have air conditioning in the room and then noise outside was bad. The hotel was nice but could of provided a bit more amenities for instance the embassy suites provided a breakfast and afternoon cocktails/happy hour. This would of been nice. Also in the rooms there is sign that states because of the weather there are no air conditioners that we should open the windows. That was fine but outside was a lot of construction work that began very early in the morning. Overall I rate the hotel about a 8.

The Hyatt is completely remodeled and the rooms are beautiful. It has been remodeled and is beautiful. The rooms have all new furnishings, linens, LCD TV, and travertine bathrooms. The grounds are beautiful and spacious.

Clean & convenient - friendly staff - nice environment. No business center. Just a hole that consisted of 1 terminal for which you had to wait to use & then pay $5 + other charges. This is ostensibly a conference-friendly hotel, but your business center is an absolute joke. I will never schedule another stay here & I know never to schedule a conference event here. You would do well to spend less on your under-used gym & over-rated golf-course & a bit more on your business center.

The grounds and surrounding area were beautiful. The room decor was from the 1970s a bit dated. It was also far from the tourist areas. The Hyatt Monterey was a gold resort that was ideal for those with golf in mind. The grounds and surrounded area were a beautiful, green, wooded landscape. The staff was efficient and friendly. The hotel was off highway 1 and the turn off for it was easy to miss. It was far from Cannery Row, so be prepared to drive to the wharf area if so desired. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but dated to the 1970's. There was not a coffee maker in my room which I expected in a Hyatt Hotel. I couldn't find a parking space when going to my room and had to park far away.

Location, looking out over a golf-course. No gentle door closer mechanism, doors slam was annoying at night.

Beautiful landscaping, wonderful beds & pillows. Don't like the extra $15.00 a night resort fee. Great place to stay. Very clean and upscale. Wonderful rooms and bedding. Close to beach and town but need to drive because of the return uphill climb if you walk.

My husband and I booked this hotel for our anniversary and we were so disappointed by the room quality that we ended up driving home that night. Our dogs didn't even want to stand on the carpet!! When we put them on the bed, they sniffed the covers and chose to sit on the nightstands instead!! The room was dark and smelled. The bathroom was disgusting. We were told that we had to stay in the bungalow rooms because we had pets. Our pets didn't even want to stay there!! We paid a lot of money for a hotel that looked like camp snoopy. I would never return to this hotel again and I don't recommend that you go if you have any preference for cleanliness, quality, or service.

We stayed at the Hyatt with our family and really enjoyed it. The Club level rooms were nice and we liked the pool area. You can sit outside around the firepit at night and make smores, our kids really enjoyed that. The hotel is right on the golf course, had a nice spa and work out facilities, and nice common areas.

My wife and I traveled to Monterey in the month of July and stayed at this beautiful resort for 5 nights. We were planning to stay for only 3 nights but the atmosphere allowed us to stay an extra two nights. From the moment we walked into the hotel, the hospitality was nothing but exceptional.. The whole staff was friendly, courteous, and gave very informative advice on where to visit during our stay. The one thing we noticed at this resort is that the staff consider their guests as their number one priority. They go out of their way to make your stay as comforting as possible. The new renovations made at the resort made our stay more enjoyable, especially the restaurant, called TusCA ristorante. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was excellent. Our room was clean, comfortable, and most importantly, quiet. We have no complaints about this resort. We plan to stay here on every occasion that brings us to Monterey and recommend this hotel/resort to anyone that visits the area and is looking for a place to relax. You are guaranteed to take back with you a lot of memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hotel's remodel was nicely done. We loved the outdoor fire pit. Parking was easy. The hallways smelled. We were surprised there weren't any locks on the doors into each building. We could hear upstairs guests walking. Great hotel for Monterey.

Room was modernized. Bathroom and shower were very nice. The view out the window was an untrimmed hedge, and an unman lawn. Comfortable, convenient, nicely updated facilities.

Beautifully REMODELED! The mandatory resort fee of $12 a night. The Hyatt has been completely remodeled and tastefully too. The room was quiet and well appointed.

I stayed in one of the refurbished rooms that was very well done, plush and comfortable. BUT for a hefty price tag, I expected a much smoother operation. Granted that Monterey has a temperate climate, but there are warm days and the lack of air conditioning made for a sweltering night. How hard would it be for them to put a table fan on the closet shelf for just such occasions, The coffee pot was broken, and my key card malfunctioned twice (and since tthis place is spread over about 30 acres, it wasn't a matter of taking the elevator down to the lobby - but getting on ones car and driving to the front desk each time). The TV checkout was not working - I called the desk several times to check out, but the call was never answered. Wouldn't stay again.

Nice, comfortable and clean. Weren't informed of $15 resort fee when we booked. In general, nice, clean and very comfortable. Walls a little thin, but that didn't bother us. Staff very friendly. Weren't informed of $15 resort fee, but staff member took off our bill since we only stayed one night.

The lobby area had a very nice and feel to it. The lobby had a lovely open feel to it. There is a giant fireplace that is glasses in with seating. The beds are very high off the ground. The furniture was fake wood. The bathroom had a white, rectangular basin sitting on top of a rock look shelf.

Vanguard interiors Staff I was charged an extra amount because; as the front desk clerk said: They have to charge extra because I booked through Priceline, and apparently they have to make up for the booking through a discount site

Hotel was clean but isolated and too far away from Monterey attractions. They charge very high prices for food. $15 per day parking fee to park my own car. The hotel is clean. Beds were just average. Hotel is isolated and their food prices are astronomical. You must have a car. They charge me $15 per day to park my own car on an a lot with hundreds of empty spaces!
