I didn't like this place. My room was not ready when I arrived. Then I was told there was a problem with the entire top floor of the hotel and would be moved to a Hilton instead. After an over two hour delay I ended up in something other than the Hilton very far from where I wanted to stay. I won't attempt to stay here again.

I was pretty appalled at the state of the first room that was offered to me upon arrival. I requested another room that was a significant improvement. The first room had wall paper peeling off the walls, some that has been badly patched up. It generally had a v unclean, old feel about it. In the second room, it was lucky the fan was in the room as the air conditioning did not work and the room was very warm (below ground)

We stayed in a clubroom at a bargain rate so no complaints about value. The standard of the room was as good as a 5* with plenty of space and excellent furnishings. The only minor complaint was that the air-con was'nt working but it was'nt a big problem as the weather was mild.

I cannot believe that the hotel rates itself as 4 star! The location was excellent and the amenities in the room were adequate but these were the only positives. We were shown into a shabby room; the wall paper was peeling off and the duvet was dirty. Fittings were grimy. We asked to move and were shown to a room that was only marginally better. It must have been damp because some of the paper peeled off during the night! The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen. The water was luke warm. I did choose the room because it was cheap for the location but wished I had spent extra.

The room was boiling - the air conditioning just pumped out warm air and there were 3 fans in the room so it obviously wasn't a one off problem. In the end I had to use the bin to hold the sash window open! The lift was also out of order.

Excellent hotel for the money (£60). Very near to Paddington and rooms absolutely fine. Staff friendly.

Very much a get what you pay for experience but not a bad hotel in any stretch of the imagination. The staff were courteous and dealt with anything I asked for promptly. Breakfast was good and the dining room is very pleasant. The room was tiny but very clean and had everything you need, from a quality TV to good shower and free broadband! Much more than adequate for one person on a business trip. The location is good being 5 minutes from tube station. For a quick business trip where you spend more time out of your hotel than in it - I would recommend it.

Dreadful. No hot water; mould growing in the shower. Very small single bed. Horrid old blanket on the bed. Room very cold and radiator turned off so no way to heat up the room. No co-operation from staff when requesting a room with a bath instead of a shower. On the whole, totally unsatisfactory. Stay there only if you have money to waste and like cold showers.

For all the remodeling that the hotel has done they did not change the 20 year old mattress, which makes 2 ppl in the bed impossible. While the sheets & towels were clearly new, the pillow cases looked heavily worn and came with many small black hairs back from the laundry. The key card had to be reprogrammed each night for entry into room, with no apologies from the front desk. The water pressure is non-existant, but even worse is the miniature shower stall. The lobby was poorly decorated, the elevator sketchy. It is a glorified hostel, at best, and I would not recommend for anyone expecting more than 2 stars. Oh, and I almost forgot - don't let the images fool you, the size of the room is barely bigger than the bed.

This hotel is not yet 4 star material. There are multiple things that are a problem: the lifts do not work, the internet access is spotty, the air conditioning doesn't work, and overall service is not always reliable. Although this site states they have a fitness center, they do not. Some of the staff do try to do the right thing but it is obvious that they are not trained professionally to handle the complaints presented to them.The rooms are updated and kept very clean. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for a business traveller.

I was in room 305 and it was boiling hot even with the window fully open all night, it was end of March! The room was cramped for one and impossible for two- actually I not sure two people could stand together in the room. The rest was great and great value for money.

We are very disappointed. The rooms were very small, it was too warm in the rooms, even in November. They have no air-condition! Fridge in the room did not work, so we had to use the common fridge. This should not be a 4 star hotel and the price is too high.

Though a four star hotel, some basic facilities are not comfortable especially: {1} Bathroomtoo small and {2} no lift --which made my stay on the third floor very stressful.

My room was extremely well appointed, recently refurbished and well furnished. A little on the small side but not a problem. Breakfast was a tad expensive - if you are on a budget eat at one of the many local cafes instead.
