Location (perfect for the Opera Comique), excellent, helpful staff and a newly refurbished (though small) room with a balcony were the good points. However, the lobby was very shabby and noisy redecorating/building was taking place on at least two floors. Had we known that this was the old and badly reviewed Hotel Opera Comique under a new name, we would not have booked here. At about 150 euros, it was overpriced. It is to be hoped that, when refurbishment is complete, it will be an altogether better place.

Paris trip with my 18 year old daughterHotel formerly the Hotel Opera Comique and undergoing refurbishment but minimal disruption as out sightseeing all day ( the fire alarm went off one afternoon and there was a slight smell of paint ) Room small but newly refurbished with new carpet. Spotless bathroom with good shower pressure . Clean towels and beds made daily. Very comfy new double bed ( we had requested twin but got a double ) . Safe and new fridge in room . No aircon so slept with balcony doors open and there was a lot of noise from neighbouring buildings. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location near Metro and Opera. Walking distance to the Louvre . Got breakfast in nearby cafes and bought supplies at a nearby Monoprix . Lobby had armchairs but no books or bar . Overall very good value for a central Paris location ( we paid Euro 110 for a double ). We really enjoyed our stay .

Terrible placeWhat a nasty surprise. Hotel hall, lobby and elevators were dirty. Rooms were newly refurbished but with cheap furniture. This is not a 4* hotel but clearly a 2*
