The location was central, making it easy to get to and from places. The rooms sometimes were not cleaned until around 3. Overall, the hotel was exactly what I was expecting. It was a good place to stay in Vegas because it is located centrally on the strip.

The Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino is situated in a very convenient location, opposite Caesar's palace and the Bellagio. It is also a stop for the railroad between hotels. It is very clean, and the staff is helpful. The hotel's layout is very confusing, and the swimming pool is not located in a convenient place. Also, it is the venue for the Luau (fantastic food!) - so it can get pretty crowded! However, if you simply need a place to sleep inbetween running around, the hotel is great value for money.

The rooms were updated since we stayed here 2 years ago. The only problem with the rooms was the plumbing in the shower. It took forever for the water to go down while taking a shower

We stayed for 2 weeks during the world series of poker , room was old but clean and had a balcony, shuttle bus next door at Harrah's goes to the RIO every 20 minutes, Had the buffet was ok , but lots of other great meals like Chiopolte's Huge Burrrito's for 6 bucks absoulutely awesome , harrah's has a steak and shrimp dinner for 7.99, The Tea House has good food but is expensive , great spagetti and meatballs! , burger palace is over priced - rather have burger king which is located right next door in O'Sheas for half the price, also play poker right on the strip for $30 buy-in and $1 blind1-5 limit drink for free alll night , shots free too! Ceasars across the street good poker tourneys, would have liked to play the advertized poker tourneys in the Imperial but they always canceled them because they didn't have enough tables and wanted to keep there cash players playing ,Pool is great just get there before 430 or there will be no sun due to the buildings overcasting the pool area , Staff freindly , room service excelllent ,will be back next year for sure.

This is our fourth trip to Vegas as husband and wife. I have to say that the Imperial Palace is by far the weakest of our four hotel stays; Circus Circus, Flamingo and Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon were the others;. The casino was decent and thet; dealertainers" were fun. The rooms were subpar: the bathtub drained so slowly that halfway into your shower you were stading in a foot of water. Calls to housekeeping about this were ignored. The bed was comfortable, although our room wasn't cleaned until 5pm on a couple of days. The TV was a 20 inch, very old model. The towels were very thin and had the consistency of sand paper. We did not eat at the Pizza Palace this trip, although we have before and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Burger Palace is decent, but over $30 for two hamburgers, two orders of fries and two sodas is WAY to expensive. The buffet is putrid, don't waste your time.

Ok so Imperial Palace...not for everyone. However, if you do NOT care about your accomodations and just want to have some fun...its definitely the place to be. The location is amazing! In walking distance to Mirage, Paris, Venetian, Bellagio...great part of the strip! It is beyond affordable, has the "old" Vegas feel, while attracting a completely diverse crowd of young hip alternative types, old biker dudes and everyone in between. Rooms are dumpy, nothing nice to look at on the walls, even the penthouse although big in size, was run down! The pool is small and run down as well, however buckets of beer are $11 compared to places like the Mirage which are $33. So it depends on what you are looking for. For us, a room was a place to get changed and that was about it, good enough! If you have the money and are looking for the glitz and glam then don't stay there!

We arrived on Sunday night and were ready to check into our hotel just before 11pm. Check in time is anytime after 4pm. There was a huge line waiting for check in and when we finally made it to front desk at about midnight we were told they were still cleaning our room and we would have to wait about 30- 45 minutes just like everyone else who was checking in at that time. The concierge gave us a (discount) voucher any of the restaurants in the casino and said she was getting us a room upgrade. We were happy with that. We played the slots for a short while and headed over to a second line where we were supposed to get our room key. This line was even longer than the first line. We waited and waited and waited until finally a lady came up and told some of us that since we had a room number on our bill we could wait over in another section. So we wait, some people were super mad and were yelling but since that rarely helps anything Rob and I waited patiently. A few hours pass, they keep saying it will be soon and they will call us when our room is ready. By this time is was about 2am. We keep waiting... Everyone else seems to slowly be moving through the line and getting rooms. Those of us who were told to wait in the other area were now lying on the ground of the lobby trying to stay awake. Finally at about 3:30 in the morning I had enough and pretty much snapped. I got in the line of people who were slowly getting rooms (many who arrived after us) and eventually got to speak with someone at the desk. It was 4am, we had been waiting for 5 hours, our first night in Vegas wasted lying on the floor of the lobby of a nasty hotel. I basically freaked out on the lady who worked at check in who just told me to calm down and got us a room after I complained for a few minutes. When I asked her what kind of compensating we would be getting for wasting our time we were told a manager would call our room in the morning. Surprise surprise no one called in the morning. We had to go back down to front desk and ask for a manager. He apologized and offered to comp the first night. We were OK with this and went on our way. After we told our family and friends what happened everyone agreed that they really didn't do enough for us at all. Judy, one of Rob's family members is a Platinum member at the chain of hotels, she went to the front desk to complain on our behalf. She spent about half an hour and talked to about 3 different managers who refused to do jack for us. Basically it was horrible service all around. Never stay there. They also apparently have a reputation for bed bugs. Luckily we didn't have to deal with that.

After reading the reviews on this site I thought the place was going to be a total dump. It wasn't so bad, a little old, but not a nightmare really. For being one of the cheapest places to stay in the middle of the strip, its pretty much what I expected. People were saying the elevators were slow, not true. The shower doesn't have very good drainage and will back up, that is true. I would consider staying here again for the cheap rates.

My mom and I stayed here after getting a great deal through Harrah's. I read reviews and was rather leary, but decided what the heck? We were very happy with our rooms. They smelled fresh and clean, no stains or torn carpet. Loved the view. Very nice pool. The rooms were difficult to find at first but after finding it the first time we had no problems finding our way around ;pay attention to the signs;. We did not eat there so can't comment on that. However, getting coffee in the morning can be a bit tricky if you get up very early as the cafe/diner wasn't yet open one morning when my mom went looking for coffee. Location is excellent, right in the middle of everything. Did gamble some and ended up getting another night stay comped. Very good cocktail waitresses. All in all we were very happy with our stay and plan to return again.

Our recent and first ever visit to Las Vegas had us staying at the Imperial Palace. I was kind of leary with some of the previous reviews, but we got a heck of a deal and went for it ! Location is the main attraction to this hotel/casino as we walked practically everywhere. No rental car was needed. For the amount of time we spent in the room, what we paid was very economical. It is by no means a luxury hotel, but if you need a place to rest your head at the end of a long busy day the Imperial Palace is the place. Clean and basic with the water pressure in the shower and sink the most powerful I've seen in awhile! Concierge was very helpful on several occasions with questions on area attractions, transportation and the like. The Dealertainers in the casino were a nice touch. Michael Jackson was a BIG hit on Saturday night. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants at the hotel, so I have no comments for them. For our first visit, and possibly our next visit, the Imperial Palace was a very nice experience. Clean, practical and affordable.

We have stayed at the Imperial Palace before, we just got back on the 13th Sept /09 we were booked to stay in the Capri Room, we chose to upgrade to a poolside room which is classed as delux we were billed an extra $* per night extra for this room $*, all I can say is that we wont be staying there again the hot water tap would not work we had to call to get it fixed the room smelled old and was tatty and in need of decoration, the location on the strip is good , but I would advise to spend a little more at another hotel the slots dont pay out much Ithink you would get a better deal at other Hotels such as Bally's or MGM).

My daughter and I made a quick trip to Las Vegas and wanted a place center strip so we would have easy access to where we wanted to go. This was such a great location and price we were very pleased. The only downfall is coming on the shuttle from the airport you are about 35 - 45 min away with all the other stops along the way at other hotels.

The location was good. Our room was very noisy. They played music just below us until 3:00 a.m. every night. We were warned of it when they gave us our room. We did not get the room that was on our reservations. So it was definately a disappointment with that. One of the elevators wasn't woking , so getting to your room was a little slow. We made our reservation and were on the airplane within three hours. So overall we got what we paid for.

The Imperial Palace was very friendly place to stay while in Vagas. The beds are comfortable, not to hard not to soft. The restraunt and food services we used were priced fairly and the food was better than average. Even though this is one of the older hotels on the north end of the strip the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and everyone seems eager to help. I've stayed at 2 other hotel aand this is the one I would alway go back to, a good valve for the money.

There was nothing I liked about the hotel - it was dirty, elevators broken, staff unfriendly. Everything. Dirty, outdated hotel, in need of a lot of work and staff needs to be trained in hospitality. Sat at the bar for 25 minutes before I was served. Not enough elevators, even if they were all working, they are old and slow, sometimes it was a 20 minute wait to get an elevator with room on it.

We stayed at the Imperial Palace for 6 nights. It has a really nice location, but we were not pleased with the room. It was not easy to access (wich is difficult after drinking and partying in Vegas at night) and the room was not very clean. The shower was stained and all drains were so clogged, they wouldn't drain very quickly. Hotel staff was nice and the price was very cheap to stay there, but I would rather pay a few extra dollars a night to have a decent and clean hotel room. We didn't stay in the room very long (just to sleep), but the fact that the room was not clean was a little uncomfortable for us!

Located in middle of the strip, Tram stopped at the hotel. Rude staff, 30 minute wait for front desk. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes or more to get checked in. I checked in on a Wednesday at 10pm and it took that long, can't imagine when they are busy! Front desk did not answer phone for 20 + rings every time I called. I was over charged on my room service by $2-$3 an item. Came back to the room the second night and my key did not work so I had to wait another 30 minutes at the front desk for somebody to reset it. No apologies from anybody about the wait or the faulty key. The room was clean and the maid service was good.

If your on a ridiculous budget then go for this hotel because its clean. If you want to have the Vegas glamor you need to move on. Not a couple hotel either.

I believe the beds could have been a bit more comfortable. The blankets seemed a little used and old. The locations was awesome, right in the middle of Vegas Strip. But over all the stay was good.

The location of the hotel. The main staff. The maids were the only nice people. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is not people friendly and the only people who help you are the housekeepers.

Location, very central in the strip. Drive into the front entrance of hotel. Good price for central strip and location is very convenient to go to other places in the strip.

It's a casino. The breakfast buffet. The staff was very nice. The check-in lines moved quickly. I was upgraded to a suite. The casino was cool. It was easy to get a taxi. The breakfast buffet was not good. You could tell that many of the items came from a can, especially the fruits and corned beef hash. The breakfast burritos were tiny and formerly frozen. I heard people complaining that there were not enough cups for drinks. The cups were actually set in crates that were deep and stacked on top of each other, which made them hard to see. The condiments were in packets and not bottles. It was just low rent, and they charged $10.95.

The room was small, I am sure there are larger ones. Floors in our rooms were wet for the day and night we stayed there. Couldn't walk without shoes. Hated walking through the casino with our bags. The bells ignored us and the valet was free, but very un friendly. Loved the Luau. Get the VIP, right by the stage and you eat first. open bar for vip.

We were pleased with the location and price of the hotel. The room itself was ok, could have been a little more modern. We had a good time in the casino. It is best to park high up in the self parking area, because you can jump into the elevator immediatley, where as our first night, we parked, not knowing if you park near the bottom, you have to leave the parking structure and walk to the hotel. Overall, for the price, it was a good price. The hotel is in a very good location, walking distance to the Venition and Palagio.

Good Vegas show in house. No coffee pot in room, poor elevator service. Standard room Vegas hotel that could use some upgrades for the value.

While staying at the Imperial Palace in what was supposed to be a more expensive room, there was the constant smell of backed up sewage. Nothing backed into the room, just the smell. When I complained about it, there was just a note made to the maintenance department. Leaving a very unsatisfied customer.

The Imperial Palace was wonderful. I loved how it was located right in the middle of the strip. I did not have a problem until checkout when I was billed for 2 local calls I had made in the room. My overall experience was ok. They need more elevators because the walk to our room was very long.

I've been to this hotel before and I wasn't very impressed. The location is what made me book with them again. A group of friends and I made reservations. It was a disappointment and we didn't get our rooms together. I do have to give the staff credit as they tried their best to accommodate us but I don't think I'll be booking with Imperial Palace in the future. Unless something amazing happens.

The rooms were not that bad. The worst thing about the hotel was the elevators. There were four main elevators that seviced the whole hotel. I used the stairs most of the weekend. If you want a place to stay that is close to the nice hotles on the strip and don't want to spend a lot of money then IP is the right hotel.

The Imperial palace has done some remodeling and it shows. Our room had a nice sitting area and it was actually comfortable. While I would have preferred a seperate bathing area, the tube was the size of a small swimming pool. Plus this hotel is right in the heart of the strip.

This Hotel is good strip location. Apart from that Maintenance is really horrible and the room stinks. The Elevators are so slow that it almost takes 15-20 minutes.
