The hotel staff were very accommodating from the beginning to the end. Nothing that I did not like. The location is excellent for touring in Rome but even more importantly from the time we checked in, the staff member at the front desk, Robert, was friendly and helpful. He even assisted us to upgrade our room. The concierge helped us get tickets to an event. This kind of service made our stay at the hotel even more fabulous!

Very nice room, great locating. Hampton Inn and Suites in US is better quality. Easily reached by metro or taxi, fine coffee bars for breakfast just outside the hotel. Quiet, clean. But certainly not a luxury hotel!

The location was ideal. Poor value. Great location, but the size of the room and the bathroom was quite poor. Definitely not 4 star for my room.

Concierges were of great help Skimpy towels This is the perfect location for a visit to Rome and climbing up and down those Spanish Steps allowed you to eat a little extra Italian food!

Good location at top of Spanish Steps. Hotel is very old, has unappealing entrance and we had a very small room. I think this hotel has seen better days. It could use a renovation. Also, Via Sistina near the steps where the hotel is located has a lot of construction going on and is not particularly attractive.

"This hotel is wonderful! The location is excellent. The rooms are well-equipped (smallish by US standards, but generous for Europe). The staff was very accommodating. And the buffet breakfast was wonderful (but make sure you get the rate that includes breakfast). It is not cheap, but it is worth the money. We are going back next year."

Great customer service. Did not live up to the 5 star rating. Good hotel, great location, but was a little bit disappointed with the room service and the actual room and lobby.

It had a wonderful view of the city from the Patio Bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The size of the room was very small. Could not open the mini bar with out lifting up the bed. The hotel was fantastic other than the size of the room. They should not even call the room a double. If you have to climb over the bed to get to the closet window etc., you know youre in trouble. Great staff! Very helpful and friendly. Fantastic location and views of Rome.

this hotel offered no amenities for the price you pay
room was small ,and in poor condition
no turndown service, no newspaper and the bathroom was inadequatly prepared/
This hotel calls itself Intercontinental but it is a poor Holiday Inn.
For the price they charged there are numerous better choices.

This is a beautiful little hotel in an excellent location. We had a room with a balcony. It was quite spacious for a European hotel room. Our room was immaculately cleaned everyday. It is within walking distance to two subway stations and great shopping. We were thrilled with our choice for the price.

We stayed at the Intercontinental de la Ville for three nights. A family of four, we requested two adjoining rooms. We were given 515 and 516, not only adjoining, but contained within an alcove at the end of the corridor, with a private outer door. Both rooms were spacious, spotless and comfortable. A wonderful surprise was that one room had a tiny balcony with a wrought iron table and two chairs; the other had a larger enclosed patio overlooking the courtyard, with table and chairs and a chaise lounger. These were great places to cool off, relax and rest before dinner. The beds were firm but comfortable, with luxury sheets and snowy white duvets, leaving little doubt about cleanliness. Marble bathrooms were large, modern and clean, and the terry robes new and soft. There was internet availability, but at a cost, which I still think is cheap, but universal. There was no coffee maker - a disappointment. The breakfast buffet was extensive, and good, although not exceptional. The Intercontinental excels in two areas: the rooftop terrace, with its unparralleled view of Rome, and its location at the top of the Spanish steps. It is right next door to the Hassler, which costs twice as much. Its location meant most destinations could be reached on foot, and a host of wonderful restaurants were steps from the door. We will definitely stay here again, next time for longer.

Location is great. There really is no view on most rooms and very limited for those rooms that do have a view. Very nice and clean. the review of the hotel is a little mis-leading in that is shows an awesome view, most rooms do not have a view and those that do is limited due to the building across the street.

Excellent location at top of Spanish steps, English speaking staff. Small room size, no view. Free juice every morning, excellent front desk staff. Easy to connect to internet from room for a small fee.

The location was phenomenal. The bathrooms were lovely. All the English speaking channels were news only. The hotel location can not be beat. At the top of the Spanish steps you are really in the heart of Rome. The rooms are fair sized. The linens excellent. Our large bed was actually two beds pushed together, but as we were so exhausted from sight-seeing, this wasn't a problem. The bathrooms were lovely and decorated with marble.
