The decorations and location to the surrounding interstates while not too close to the airport. Had some issues at check-in but a supervisor sorted it out and I was satisfied. This is a beautiful hotel! There are a few great chain restaurants across the street in a very large mall so we were not bound to the hotel restaurant which was rather expensive (Shula's Steakhouse). I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Free parking. The Intercontinental was just what I needed after a long day of driving. The bed was so very comfortable. I had a glass of wine at the lounge and ordered the best dinner salad. All of the employees were very helpful.

Free parking, free internet, great location. Can't think of one thing. This Hotel is in a great location, Mall across the street, with several nice resturants, A very unique Hotel that is built inside an office complex. Parking was free, and also offered free internet. Nice bar area with several flat screen TVs.

Excellent location, beautiful hotel, ample parking. Friendly staff. Not one thing. The design this hotel hits you as soon as you walk in. Staff is attentive. Beds are very comfortable. Covered attached parking is great. Pool on the 9th floor!

The rooms were beautifully designed. The staff was professional. The hotel has been recently renovated, and the rooms are quite beautiful, with zebra wood armoire and desk, McGuire Seating and an extravagantly appointed bed. Very comfortable and luxurious experience. Shula's restaurant was a complete disappointment. One section of the dining room was all that was in service, and when they lead us to the table, we noticed at least 4 other empty tables. The wait staff took forever to even serve us water, and the menu was so overpriced, that without alcohol, it would be doubtful that we would be able to get out under $50 a person. So we left, and walked across the street to the mall, which had many restaurant choices. Next time, I would enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the hotel and skip the restaurant option.

Beautiful hotel and perfect staff. I will look forward to another stay at an intercontinental hotel in the future. We usually stay at Renaissance hotels by Marriott.

The staff was all very friendly and professional. Excellent hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed a week and everything was wonderful, except for we were given 2 double beds instead of a King. Other than that, the whole experience was great.

The room was very well maintained, very clean and the bed was wonderful. We stay in a lot of hotels and this had one of the best beds, pillows and linens (crisp, high thread count sheets) that we have stayed in. The room is well insulated so you have very few sound intrusions. The parking garage is convenient and free of charge. The LCD tv has mainly hi definition channels. Breakfast was not very good for the money (not much to chose from, scrambled eggs were runny, milk was warm). We had dinner in the Shula's Steakhouse in the lobby which we were looking forward to since it is supposed to be one of the top 10 steakhouses in the country. We asked at breakfast for a 7:00 PM reservation but when we went downstairs at 7:00 were told our reservation was for 7:15 (even though no one had called us to tell us the time was different). They said they could not seat us until 7:15 even though there were several empty tables. Once we were seated we waited 25 minutes to place our one course dinner order. It took another 45 minutes to receive our meal. Two of the four sides were ice cold (the holandaise sauce that I did not order with my brocolli came out with the a congealed layer on top of it since it had been sitting somewhere else for a while). My husband's steak was not cooked correctly, he sent it back only to wait 10 minutes for it to come back a second time still too rare for his taste but he kept it so that he could finally eat. The hotel is wonderful just go to one of the restaurants across the street.

DONT KNOW IF I WOULD STAY AGAIN. THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE AND COMFORTABLE FOR THE MOST PART...A LITTLE SMALL, BUT OK. I UPGRADED TO A ROOM WITH A VIEW OF THE BAY, HOWEVER, I GOT A ROOM WITH A VIEW OF THE TOP OF THE PARKING GARAGE, AND THEN THE BAY OFF IN THE FAR DISTANCE. APPARENTLY THERE WAS CONSTRUCTION GOING ON THAT NO ONE TOLD US ABOUT SO THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND INTO THE NIGHT, YOU COULD HERE THE MACHINES GOING FULL BLAST. THE WORST PART IS THAT THEY PUT US IN A ROOM AT THE VERY FAR END OF THE HALLWAY, RIGHT NEAR THE HOUSKEEPING QUARTERS, SO AS YOU CAN IMAGINE EVERYMORNING AROUND 7 OR SO, YOU COULD HEAR PEOPLE LAUGHING, TALKING AND CARRYING ON RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR ROOM. THE LAST NIGHT WE WERE THERE OUR TV DID NOT WORK SO WE CALLED DOWN TO THE GUEST SERVICES AT ABOUT 6 PM OR SO, AND BY THE TIME WE CHECKED OUT THE NEXT MORNING NO ONE HAD YET COME TO CHECK ON THE TV. NOT SURE I WOULD STAY AGAIN, NOT ENOUGH GOOD TO GO WITH THE BAD. I WILL SAY THIS THOUGH...THE ROOM WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN!! THANKS.

The hotel experience was a great one! I just recommend that you choose the hotel if you are on a business trip. The reason behind it is because it is located in a business building with all types on different businesses. My room was actually located in front of the hotel where I could see the mall and the traffic. When the sun set then I was actually able to see the offices that were across from the room.....but overall I enjoyed the comfort of the hotel, it's amenities and Shula's Steak house which is located inside of the hotel! Talk about easy access! ENJOY ;-)

Beautiful building. Wonderful, helpful, friendly employees. Exceptionally clean. I paid an extra $ for a Bay View and there was another building in front of my window. This hotel is one of the most beautiful that I have ever visited. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole bldg was spotless and in my opinion gets a 10 for cleanliness. I would stay at this hotel again if the opportunity ever came up. I was disappointed in my Bay View, however and regret paying an extra $ for it. I will not make that mistake again.

Updated, quality rooms; excellent location near Tampa airport and malls; very competent front desk personnel; free parking. We received one bad recommendation about a local restaurant from the front desk. This hotel would appeal to all but the most finicky or bargain-hunting travelers: it is especially well located to the Tampa airport, two malls, and many restaurants; has updated and elegantly decorated and appointed rooms with many amenities; a very competent front desk and accommodating staff; free parking; and free transportation to and from the Tampa airport.

Everything was immaculate and the view from the pool is gorgeous. Nothing is included, they charge extra for almost everything. I would recommend the hotel. The pool is really nice and most of the staff was very helpful.

Decor was nice. Hot room and lack of responsibility for valet service. My husband and I arrived on April 18 and gave car to valet to park, checked in. We went downstairs to leave for dinner and when car was brought the glove box, latch was completely broken off. When I asked what happened no one knew anything. I asked at front desk to speak to the manager and he said the valet is a third party and there's nothing he could do but call their company to have an incident report done. Then their company would file with their insurance but I would have to pay the deductible. Basically I felt he was discouraging me from reporting the incident. Why would the valet have any need to open anything in my car unless he was looking for something to steal? Why is there no sign out front disclaiming the hotel from any responsibility? Also, on the night of arrival I asked if something could be done about the air conditioning because the room was hot. Maintenance came up and said nothing could be done, that's just the way the system is. The front desk didn't help in any way and I spend 2 sleepless night in a supposedly 4 star hotel. Decor does not make a hotel 4 star.

when we visited the intercontinental tampa hotel, we were greeted immediately by very freindly and helpful staff members that made check in very easy and hassle-free. we were very happy with the room we stayed in. it was very spacious and comfortable. the room service staff was very courteous and helpful. we requested a minibar, which was stocked with a variety of good snacks and drinks if you didn't feel like going out that day. around the room, one would find ample sockets to charge cell phones, etc. and there also was an internet connection available for one's laptop.

The bed was very comfortable. The bath room needed updates. The hotel is nice but the fountains were not working so could not get the full feeling of the place. I like the room we were in but the bathroom needed to be up dated. the view from our window was looking at offices. Not a good view! Felt like we did not have the privacy.
