The location was perfect. Small room, obvious updates were needed throughout the room, not that clean, no pool, staff unfriendly. I would not stay at this hotel again. I have been to other Intercontinental Hotels and this one falls short. The others were definitely 4-5 star this one not even close. The rooms are too small, not at all attractive, or overly clean.

I arrived at this hotel at about 9:30 on a Thursday morning. The very attractive clerk at the front desk informed me that yes, my room was available and yes, an early check in could be accomodated. Nice. The lobby was undergoing some small improvements but in general reflected a very hip, metro, W hotel kind of a feel. Great music, cool vibe. My room was another pleasant surprise. A small sitting room with couches and a TV greeted me when I walked in on the way to my nicely-sized bedroom. The bedroom was appointed with a nicely sized flat screen tv and a very plush king sized bed. The view was not great, but I suspect the other side of the hotel had a nice view of the river. The work out room was one of the better ones I've seen. A great array of free weights, and both cardio and weight machines. There was also a nice sized aerobic room where a trainer was working on stretching with someone. All of the staff was young, good looking, knowledgeable and very service oriented. I asked for "point me in the direction of" directions and I received a very thorough, step by step set of directions that were much appreciated. Overall location is about three easily and pleasantly walkable blocks from the city center and the Wells Fargo building. I give this hotel a very high recommendation. Finally, look around the corner near the front desk. They had a nice set up of coffee and cookies in the evening. Its not prominently displayed, but a pleasant find. Oh yeah, I easily got a hotel-arranged cab to the airport at 4:30 the next morning. Couldn't have been easier.

Very modern looking! Could hear the screaming children in the next room. This is a very comfortable and modern looking hotel. The room we had was smallish, but very tall ceilings made it feel spacious. The bed is amazingly comfortable. Had all the amenities we needed!

The staff was great, the location was great, bed was comfy, and tons of pillows! TV could be mounted higher up in bedroom. (then again. not much TV. watching in such a great room! We would stay there again the next time we get to the city! the show at the past was great too. It was great having it attached to the motel, no having to walk out in the cold or wearing our heavy coats to the show. Staff was great too!

Modern, upscale, in the heart of downtown. $20 parking, restaurant service. The decor of the place was beautiful and our style and the bed were so comfortable. It was right downtown and walking distance to everything. The valet (although we did not use them) were very helpful directly us to were we wanted to go.

There is currently no Civic Center exit available due to construction in downtown Milwaukee (I live in area). Be sure to call to get the right directions.

8 of us spent two nights at Intercontinental Milwuakee. It's only 10 miles from MKE Airport. Upon arrival, parking is $20/day or $25 for valet - we opted for the Valet. We were able to wait inside (and keep warm!...15 degrees outside) while they brought the vehicle right out front. The overall quality of the hotel is very luzurious and upscale. They had a coupel bars. The service at the bar was medicore. The wait time was longer than it should have been, but the drinks were good. An older crowd seemed to take up the first bar, but they had a second bar where an ID was needed in the back of the Lobby. Although a younger crowd was in the second bar, smoking was permitted there (inside the second bar) so I kept out of there. The location is great! There are several pubs within walking distance (2-5 blocks) and an Ice Skating Rink and Starbucks across the street. Once we got to the rooms, the interior quality was amazing . Very clean rooms, with a great view out the window, flat screen TV, and very comfortaable beds. Did I say the beds were very comfortable? Very cozy and warm. Hot tub and work out area were nice. We ordered room service on our last night. My room with 4 ordered 4 hamburgers. They messed the orders up and the creme brulet was gross. The room service is super over-priced for its low quality. The burgers were good, minus the one they got wrong, but was just too pricy for the botched orders. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly (as well as on the phone when I called to make the reservation). I would definitely stay there again but dine out for dinner.

Hotel in the heart of the Milwaukee theater district. Marcus Center for the Performing Arts acoss the street. Repertory theater in the same building as the hotel. Furniture in our room was down at the heels. Casual dining restaurant offered only 'grab and go' sandwiches and salads. Upscale restaurant hours very limited. In room dining advertised as lasting until 11:00 p.m. We returned from the opera at 10:35 p.m. and attempted to order in room dining. Room service staff refused to pick up the phone until 11:05 p.m. at which time we were directed to call the front desk for grab and go sandwiches at $8.00 each.
Check-in policy at 3:00 p.m. Arrived 2:00 p.m. Unable to check-in. Left our cell number at front desk request for notice when room available. Room wasn't available until 3:00 p.m. Left luggage in storage with bellman. Bellman failed to deliver all of items in storage necessitating a trip from home back to hotel to retrieve missing item from storage.

Nice bed, wonderful linens. 2nd floor restaurant expensive and food not very good. Modern colors w/deco design -- dark brown, lime green, orange. Although not my personal choice, very bold. Hotel staff was a+; very friendly and helpful. They took the time to recommend restaurants nearby the hotel. Parking situation is horrible -- 4 story underground facility difficult to get in and out and the parking stalls are meant for compact cars, not extended cab pick-up trucks. Will stay in this hotel again upon return to Milwaukee.

Very clean and modern. The valet was slow and little pricy for the area. Also thought the shower supplies would be higher end for a 4 star hotel. Bathrooms were very small. Over all nice clean and modern hotel. Small bathroom for a 4 star and the large desk in the room was a bit much.

The Intercontinental was posh and in-house amenities were readily available. The room was spacious and meticulously maintained. The hotel was conveniently located in the downtown area and about half an hour from the airport. Very satisfied with my stay.

The location was excellent. I could hear the TV through the walls. A good hotel with less than knowledgeable concierge. Overall, clean and friendly and adequately decorated. Room was spacious and well appointed. Was surprised to have to pay for Internet access and an $18 a day parking fee.
