We got in at 1:45am and we were taken care of in a very prompt and professional manner. We felt that the staff cared about our comfort and did their best to make us feel welcome. We will definately consider Montecarlo again for another getaway.

I was sad that no one bothered to inform me about the construction going on because every morning I was woke up at 4 am when all the construcion equipment started up. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep and this was very dissappointing. If I had know this in advance I would have stayed some where else.

Unfortunately, with the building of the City Center right next door, it takes away from this property. We asked for a strip view & ended up with a view of the Macdonalds & Walgreens. Nothing spectacular about this hotel. Small Casino. It was just o.k. for the price.

The hotel was in a convenient location and the beds were comfortable, so it's a good place to stay if you aren't going to be spending a lot of time in your room and you're looking for a lower price. The bedding was old and the shower was clogged, but other than that everything was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the pool area was nice. We ate at the buffet for breakfast and they had a good selection of food, which I was happy to see for $20/person! I would recommend a stay at the Monte Carlo if you're going to Vegas to hit the town and not looking for a luxuriuos hotel to spend a lot of time at.

Th e Monte Carlo while located on the strip would not be a recomended place to stay. During my stay the pool artea was in the middle of what looks to be a long term project called City Centre. Once completed this project will surround the pool area on three sides. The hotel itself was just ok. Our tub would not drain during showering so you were standing in above ankle deep water before you finished. Not a pleasant start to your day.

Monte Carlo is good for the kids with the great lazy river. Rooms are normal sized, but they do need to upgrade their bedding!!

The Monte Carlo was in a good location and fairly new. It was in the midst of some renovations and did not seem to be kept up as well as some other strip hotels. Caulking in bathroom was missing, tub drain was very slow, bar seemed not clean.

This was a good place to stay except for the construction noises taking place at all hours of the night from the City Center Project. I usually don't sleep much in Vegas, but this time , I'm not sure that I slept at all.

The Monte Carlo was great. I spent atleast a week researching hotels and locations and costs, and the Monte Carlo was the best in all areas. It is not the fanciest hotel in Las Vegas but Id much rather have spending money then to throw it all into the hotel. I mean ...who goes to Las Vegas to sit in the room? And if you do, maybe u should find a new destination. It wasnt the most updated hotel on the strip but you cant be the location and cost. The room was clean, all the amenities I needed on my vacation. The pool was nice, it also had a lazy river which was fun. It wasnt a huge party hotel, but Id much rather bounce around from hotel to hotel to experience that scene then come back to the room at night and have it somewhat calm. The food choices were good, although we were out of the hotel so much we didnt really eat there alot. There is so much to see and do in Las Vegas who even cares about the room. As long as its clean, and the staff is nice, the price is right, and the location is great, thats good for me!

When we checked in the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a great location and fit our needs perfect. Our only advice for future visits is get to the pool as soon as it opens to get a chair to lay in.The chairs fill up very fast.

We had a horrible check-in experience. We transfered to 3 differenr rooms. They gave us a smoking room on check-in, then when we asked to be transfered, they gave us a room that's occupied, there were people just leaving. In other words, the room has not been cleaned yet for the next occupant. We finally got a satisfactory room, the third time. Our 5-10 minute check -in turn out to be 2-hour check-in and we had family and friends waiting to meet us. I would never come back to this hotel nor recommend it to family or friends.

When my wife and I arrived, we were told that we could have a room with double beds, or one that was equipped for the handicapped. After my wife protested, a supervisor appeared, and after searching the hotel's room inventory, he miraculously found a room for us. This experience at the beginning of our stay was frustrating and annoying.

Not a very pleasant experience. Don't be fooled by Deluxe Room since there is nothing Deluxe about it since it smelled like astray and old musk. Lobby & Service staff was uncooperative and unpleasant; I would not recommend this hotel and will never stay there again.

The Monte Carlo was very clean and the cleaning service was very accommadating. A majority of the staff was very friendly yet I think some individuals could improve in that area. The pool area was great and the location was fine. The only main complaint was the view of the construction going on outside my window and the noise. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed 3 nights at the Monte Carlo. We found this hotel have a subdued restful atmosphere. The casino was fun and not overly noisy ... the buffet offered in one of the restaurants was wonderful and nicely priced. Rooms were very clean and staff was friendly. The only downfall was the construction nearby. We would certainly stay there again.

Monte Carlo is located at the heart of the strip and close to every where. The room was larger than I expected. Besides that the drains of the bath tub was clogged, everything was great. I would have liked it more if they had more TV channels and a mini fridge in the room.

Overall, my experience was good. No complaints actually. The staff was polite and accommodating. The food court was reasonable and had a good variety of restaurants. The only drawback was the lack of an indoor pool and the fact that the pool closed at 6:00 PM. That may not work well for families.

The suites are extremely large and clean. Location is excellent; right in the middle of the strip. ONly downfall, is that there is current construction next door, but can hardly hear it if you stay on the opposite side of the hotel, facing Bellagio. No construction though at night, so you can sleep, during the day you are out anyways.

Visited Vegas for our Anniversary. We checked into the Jockey Club and called the next morning to see if we can change rooms because of the Construction Noise. Very dissappointed at the response from the Hospitality service, the lady recommended we use 'Earplugs'. The noise was 24/7 and LOUD. We did not enjoy our stay and have even left our exchange service for booking us in a place in which we didnt enjoy or couldnt even find us somewhere else to stay. There was no indication that the noise was on that level and we were disappointed at the fact that they were quick to book our stay.......

Business travellers beware! This hotel, the Jockey Club, is not fit to be rented out to anyone who expects to sleep. The property is adjacent to a huge construction site that operates from 4am to midnight daily. There is no sound insulation from the heavy earth-moving equipment that operates through the night so it doesn't matter which part of the hotel you stay in, or if you switch rooms as I did - the noise is simply too loud. Street locatiom is poorly lit and dirty. The front desk could not provide a receipt upon check out. Front desk could not assist with room changes. No bellman service available. No taxi service is available, despite claims that a shuttle would come and take guests to a casino where they can catch a cab - no shuttle every materialized. Internet access didn't work. This dump is a disaster zone for a business traveller and guarantees I will NEVER use online travel website again for a hotel reservation - the property was completely misrepresented.

The other room we stayed in had the same trouble with its toilet you cant flush if someone is sleeping.

Thought the food and drink prices were much too high. Room rates were satisfactory. Staff was courteous. Rooms were comfortable and clean but the shower put out so much water that the drain couldn`t keep up and you stood ankle deep in water. Water-saver shower heads would save a tremendous amount of water and money for the Hotel. Key card to open the door to the room was inconsistent. Got new cards made with the same result. Particularly irritating!

The problem that we had with the Monte Carlo at this time is there is extensive construction behind the pool area, our room overlooked the pool. The construction goes on 7 days a week 24 hours a day. For the most part it was relatively quiet, but at 6 or 7 in the morning when they start with the heavy construction it can be annoying. The hotel and casino themselves are undergoing renovations, while this was done quietly, you never knew what area would be blocked next. Under normal circumstances the Monte Carlo is probably a great place to stay.

Great hotel, location, amenities...but we were placed in a room over looking the new construction site...the noise started at 7 a.m. and wrapped up around 6 p.m....even on the weekends. We asked to be moved but they were sold out...but it was dead in the hotel. I am assuming that since we got such a cheap rate on Orbitz, they did not want to move us away from the noise.

this was a short stay to attend a concert. The hotel was located at the center of the strip so was very convienient. However it was in the middle of major building works which meant that the shuttle did not stop there I did not find this out until I arrived. Also the shuttle (grey line)booked on line with Orbiz was more expensive than just paying on arrival. If I had known I would have got a cab. the hotel was clean and not noisy despite the work so it worked out well.

Next to New York New York; with better food and lounge choices. Ice cold gaming tables and dealers. Staff not very nice or happy. Stay somewhere else if only looking at best bargain. The Monte Carlo acts like it is the Bellagio or Venetian, but is really a poor substitute. Casino music too loud, dealers unfriendly and nightlife boring. Other places more fun and enjoyable. Monte Carlo has a very competent and helpful valets. Brew Pub food very good, service was slow.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo for one night, and chose that hotel based on the very low rate. Overall, it was a fine place to stay for one night in Vegas. Unfortunately, the hotel was under contruction and so large sections of the casino/lobby area were roped off and hidden by large curtains that were sort of tacky. Other than that, the only other complaint I have was the hideously strong smell of cleaning products on our floor. The dealers in the casino were helpful and their minimum bets were lower than the bigger casinos nearby. The lazy river and pool were lots of fun to splash around in, too.

I absolutely loved the view from the room; just open the curtains and bellagio and paris right out your window with a view of the water show at bellagio from your room! Price was a deal and there aren't many rooms that offer a refrigerator let alone a full kitchen on the strip. The room was extremely spacious, clean, amazing view and just the perfect location on the strip; walking distance to MGM, Venetian, couldn't ask for a better location.

Had just arrived from a 9-hour flight, room wasn't ready so we were put into a different room for one night which wasn't all that clean, no bath rug, floor rug needed cleaning, pillows were terrible but then again pillows were terrible in the next room. When I called housekeeping I was told there were no alternatives to these hard lumpy pillows. Then there was the constant construction noise both day and night. We were hasseled on the sidewalk about viewing a time share presentation. Hotel staff was very friendly
