We spent 6 days here in early July, and the rooms were being renovated. When we made the reservations, nothing was said about this. There was lots of noise and inconvenience. My advice is to not go here until the renovation is complete.

didn't feel 5 Star.We stayed in the newly renovated premier deluxe rooms. The rooms were dark and dank and still look old and run down( despite the new renovations). The bathroom was badly designed, the glass shower screen was too narrow, water always flood the floor. The seaview wasnon exisistent, obliterated by many beach huts, for rooms on higher floor, the view blocked by trees, worth paying for a seaview. Breakfast selection poor, exactly the same for the 3 days we were there.The waterpark isn't as great as it looks on the website. Service was not 5 star either.

I think I might be a little biased with the ratings because all the activites, restaurants are great because of it's inter-resort concept. I only slept in Laguna Beach but spend most of my time at the other hotels in the area because they have better and newer sports facilities, better choices and better food. Free internal shuttle is great. But the rooms are quite normal and disappointing for the price I pay. Go get any of the other hotel in the area, same price, better quality, better location. Just pay a small fee to use Laguna Beach's pool.

The hotel is actually very pretty, concept is great, but maintenance is rather poor. For the price you would expect better quality than any of the Patong hotels, but sadly it wasn't so. The swimming pool had floating leaves, oil and insects, the grass overgrown, the general cleanliness a bit below standards, esp for a Laguna hotel. THe other hotels outshines it.

They have a lovely concept of having 5 resorts together, but it does not help if the other hotels in the regions outshine this hotel by so much, while their rates are competitively close. I spent more time at Sheraton's pool, dining at Dusit, and spa at Banyan Tree. Their pool attendants were so rude. They forbade my 8-year old son from going on the slide and I was embarrassed by their attitude. I will recommend other resorts in the area. Better service, same price.
