It's an easy two-hour drive from San Juan and offers a unique Caribbean vacation that keeps guests coming back to Rincon year after year. With more and more flights to our nearby airport in Aguadilla (BQN) - Rincon is even easier to reach with flights on major US airlines bringing you within a 20-minute drive of Rincon's famous Route 413 when you need a Caribbean get-away for sun, surf and relaxation. The Lazy Parrot Inn is right in the middle of everything Rincon has to offer - one of the only hotels that is actually located right on Route 413 - 'The Road to Happiness' that runs above some of the most famous beaches in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. The Lazy Parrot Inn caters to beachgoers, SCUBA divers, surfers and all who wish to experience the flora, fauna & historical sites of western Puerto Rico's 'Porta del Sol' resort area. We're just a 3 minute drive (1/2 mile) to the beach. We're less than 1 mile to the Rincon lighthouse and the winter surfing at Marias Beach & Domes Beach along Rincon's 'Sunset Coast'. In the summer, Steps snorkeling beach is just another half mile away at the new Tres Marias Marine Reserve. We're close to everything - is not on the beach - but we're only a short drive from the small town of Rincon and Rincon's beaches which are famous for SCUBA diving and Surfing, El Faro Lighthouse, great surfing beaches, whale watching (January - March), deep sea fishing, scuba diving, kayaks, snorkeling and all water sports. My husband and I had our first trip to Rincon, Puerto Rico in September. We celebrated our 10 year Anniversary. The time of year we went was "off season" so it was very quiet and not a lot of tourists which was nice because we wanted it to be relaxing. We would not have changed anything staying at the Lazy Parrot Inn. The restaurant was closed and so was the bar due to the time of season but the room was beautiful and the staff was courteous. We had an amazing view off of our large balcony. We sat on the balcony in the evenings when it was quiet and all you could hear was the coqui(frogs)....it was so relaxing. We visited a resort right off of the ocean but the music was so loud and so much activity we were ready to back to our resort on top of the hill where it was quiet (no loud music or partying after 11pm which we appreciated). I would visit again.....definitely

When we arrived at the Lazy Parrot we were plesently surprised. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. It was a quiet relaxing mini-resort with excellent food and drinks. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone staying in Rincon, Puerto Rico. Prices for rooms were great. I would recommend going with the poolside rooms, they have their own balcony and room was spacious. Bathrooms had walk-in showers and pedastal sinks. 100% recommend going.

I booked 6 nights for a romantic November '09 trip 4/28/09. Trip was paid for and confirmed. On 6/28/09 I was informed that the Lazy Parrot had cancelled my reservation. It took some doing but I finally found out they cancelled me to allow a wedding party to book the entire resort. Money talks....customer service walks...I've never been treated like that at any resort/hotel.

We arrived at the hotel to find that the restaurant and bar were closed. This was dissappointing because we had planned on using these facilities. Our room was nice enough, but there were mosquitoes in our room. They would bite us while in the bathroom, while sleeping etc. We even found dead mosquitos flattened on the walls, so we were not the only ones who experienced this problem. The first night there was little hot water and my husband ended up having a cold shower. On the second night there was little to no cold water and the toilet would not flush. This was all very frustrating. This hotel has potential, but it did not live up to it while we were there.

The Parrot is a wonderful place to stay. The ambiance is excellent with great views. The rooms are quite conmfortable - the food is wonderful. The only drawback is the pool - the water is very cold and shoud be heated. The location is close to great becahes - leave the pool and head to the beach.
