The style of the hotel. Modern. Employees need to be more attentive. The idea of the hotel. Too many people were crowding the front desk and too many employees behind the front desk. It should have been longer desk to accommodate people in a more efficient manner. I had some black mold on my bathroom ceiling. They upgraded me to a junior suite, which was great but that bed was not near as comfortable as my previous room. Very good.

The Le Parker Meridien was the perfect launching point for a festive weekend getaway for my wife and I. The view of the Park was spectacular without having to pay the price of being right across the street from the park and just a short two block walk to actually enjoy the south side of Central Park. The hotels modern/relaxed atmosphere, pool, and excercise facility on site were also big pluses to make it feel like I had all the conveniences and comfort of being home, but with a whole lot more within walking distance. An added perk was that Tennis players were staying at the hotel making it even more memorable as I saw them win and loose at the US Open and then walked past them on the street or in the elevator. From this location we easily walked to MOMA, Carnegie Deli, 5th Ave. and Madison Ave. shopping. We also took the Subway conveniently located on the same block at Carnegie Hall to Times Square, the Financial District to see Ground Zero, and the Empire State Building. It was also easy to get to Flushing for the US Open Tennis Tournament by transfering at Queensboro. Also, for good quick food Cafe Europa over the Subway stop is reasonably priced and of good quality.

Location. Overall condition and cleanliness. I do not see this as a 4 star. Overall condition of floor was poor. Cleanliness and condition of room was not 4 star.

Modern with large rooms for New York standards. Parking cost was exorbitant ($50 for one night). The hotel was modern, clean with comfortable beds in a great part of Manhattan, very close to Central Park. Even though it has a 57th street address, if you are driving enter on the 56th street side. Parking is way too expensive. Park the car yourself.

Fresh and clean rooms. Perfect location. Accommodating staff. Couldn't hope for more. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was minibar instead of fridge. Perfect hotel for new visitors to NYC. Most major tourist sites are within a very short walk or inexpensive taxi ride. Central Park is close enough to enjoy at least one stroll daily without cutting into your itinerary. Hotel restaurants offer food for all tastes. This hotel is immaculately maintained, and the entire operation seems to run very smoothly. You will enjoy your stay. No matter what kind of traveler you are, this hotel has something for every one.

Location, location, location, clean, neat and in good shape Room size, key didn't initially work , pay for parking.. This hotel is excellent for staying in the Central Park South area. It's easy to walk to most uptown or downtown attractions. The hotel is neat, clean and well taken care of, but lacks the upscale appointments that I associate with 4 star hotels. There is a garage associated with the hotel, but there are no discounts for the garage. The $50 per night rate is a bit pricey, even for NYC.

I stayed here because I received a deep discount through travel website. It was still not worth it. The staff soured the entire experience. It is a nice building with nice rooms in a nice location, but this is an example of staff trying to be chic and cool and delivering very poor, disinterested customer service instead. You may ask yourself how much customer service do I need, I just want a comfortable bed and good location while in NYC, but the truth of it is that if I am to pay 400 a night I want people to deign to look at me when I speak to them, respond to requests, carry my bags to my room, in short anything else I would expect from even a three star hotel.

The Parker Meridien is located in a great area for shopping and Central Park The housekeeping staff was wonderful, however the concierge was only somewhat personable, not what i am accustomed to There was no DVD/CD player in the room, I was a bit dissapointed and the room furniture was a bit dirty Love the bathroom and shower but not good lighting for applying makeup and the heat was not available for a chilly weekend in April

Location & restaurant for breakfast. Smaller room than used to. No view. Loved the location. Room was smaller than anticipated. View from our room was of another building that was old & so close in proximity that we had to keep the blinds closed. It was clean. Loved Norma's for breakfast & Steppe's for jazz & wine.

Upscale, clean, beds were very comfortable, rooms were quiet. Wi-Fi cost $17.00 per day to use. The hotel was convenient to Broadway plays, shopping district, central park, and many restaurants. The hotel was upscale, very clean, rooms were quiet, and beds were very comfortable.

Central park view. Minibar not a fridge! We had a great time at the hotel, especially since we were on the 34th floor with a view of central park and were upgraded from 2 rooms to a nice spacious suite (3 kids in the family room on a comfortable convertible sofa bed and a roll away, and we had our own king size bed/bedroom with two showers and two sinks in addition to the kids full bathroom in the main area). Location is central park close. We would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was beautiful, the room was spacious and clean. The hotel had a lot of menial charges. I was charged a rental fee of $1.50 for champagne glass. Overall the hotel was great. The Burger Joint was really fun and I recommend it to everyone.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past, and will continue to do so, provided the price is right. This is a very nice, classy hotel. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and you just might end up with a view of Central Park. This is one of my favorite Manhattan hotels. The location can't be beat. The food from room service is a bit expensive, but that's typical of NYC. I just love this hotel!!

We just stayed there and had a great time. Considered staying at Times Square but chose this instead and were pleasantly surprised. By New York City standards, decent price, very clean and a hip modern decor. The room feels small compared to other cities' hotels but is adequate by NYC standards and had a rotating entertainment center my daughter used frequently. Internet and room service are available but (like everything else in NYC) expensive (though the room service had good selection and was prompt). The rooftop pool (one of the very few hotel pools in NYC) was great for our family, and I hear the exercise club is nicely appointed (though may be an extra charge). Great burger joint and cartoons in the elevator were a nice touch. Centrally located, within walking distance of most of midtown and 5th Ave, and the subway was a block away. Some virtuoso musicians stay here for the nearby Carnegie Hall - we could hear a few warming up in their rooms (not annoying and not during off hours, but very cool). Staff were courteous and helpful. Bellhop and concierge service were helpful, though seemingly very busy. Hotel restaurant was also nice and though a bit upscale, could handle family fare. I get the sense that more and more people are discovering this place and liking what they see. We certainly did, and will probably stay here for any future trips to NYC.

My wifes family has stayed here for years. We tried Le Parker a few years ago when we grew a few sizes in our dogs and had to start paying extra at other hotels. This is a real pet friendly hotel. Walking the dogs a few blocks to Central Park keeps us all happy. Service from the front desk to doorman has always been New York cordial. Service in parking has been quick but it's not cheap. For Le Parker's normal rates we find this hotel stays at the top of our list. Large rooms, great bathrooms all in all quiet. We are booking again for 4th of July 2008. The pool is small but the deck is great for sunning or yoga.

We loved the hotel - nice room with a park view and the location in NYC is very convenient - near Fifth Ave, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center , MOMA , lots of restaurants, and the Time Warner Jazz Halls - plus easy access to various subway lines so we could easily get all over the city. The Burger Joint in the hotel has great burgers and is a New York institution!!!

The rooftop pool/view of central park, staff, location to uptown. NA. The staff was incredibly efficient and informative. We were upgraded upon arrival to a room with a sitting area; the modem furnishings were impeccable; no city noise penetrated the room (on 11th floor). The hotel was 3 blocks from Central Park and within walking distance to Times Square. The pool was nice, but had a lot of children in it at the time; there is plenty of outdoor lounging area. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Facility and to use internet. I loved this hotel. I would return in a heartbeat. In the center of everything. A 15 min walk to Times Square. A 5 min walk to Fifth Ave. The hotel was clean and responsive. The bathroom was very big too.

Very cool place. The hallway and room were a bit smelly (prior water leak) and there was a lot of old hair on the wall in the shower/bath. If you like ultra-mod, hip-looking place, this is certainly the place to be. Also comfortable and helpful/pleasant staff. The Chocolate Sunday Brunch was interesting, fun and pretty good. Though the waitresses could have been a lot quicker about re-filling the coffee cups. Before entering the room, there was a very musty smell in the hallway; a water stain from an apparent leak on an upper floor was on the wall and carpet. The musty smelliness and hair in the shower/bath made it seem a lot less than 4-star, despite the chic coolness of the place.

Room was much larger than expected for a room in New York. The room was too warm, when I called front desk they said the air could not be turned on because it was still winter - it was spring! Would probably stay again (as long as the air conditioning was on). No matter how nice the hotel, it's difficult to enjoy if the room temperature is too hot/cold.
