The hotel could do with a refurbishment as it looked a bit tired. Our tv remote never worked although reception was notified witin minutes of arrival. A man was sent up and once he had checked the tele worked, that was the last we heard on tht subject.The hotel was pretty central for our needs , sightseeing and tourism, and VERY clean. Kim on reception was also very helpful in recommending a local pub to spend a pleasant evening in.

Value for money but a tired hotel.Hotel is very noisy being on a main road. Room was very hot, even in April, so had to have windows open, then there was contant road noise. Always ask for a room not facing the road!

Chesterfield legacyHotel decor looking tired and in need of renovation. The bedrooms are borderline saleable - my room on this stay was quite depressing to spend anytime in, decor drab, old TV and no remote, 'sachets' of shampoo, bed lumpy and needed replacing. However, this is not the biggest issue - customer service is really, really poor. breakfast service is minimal with a buffet in operation, but even then getting staff to acknowledge you and speak was arduous. receptionist didn't ask if I had enjoyed my stay - all staff focus on the process not the customer.

Excellent value for money paid Â£79.00 for two for dinner bed and breakfast plus you got tickets to chatsworth house thats a great place to see.It easy to find and only 5mins walk into the town, within 30mins your in the heart of the peaks great place to stay friendly staff.
