Excellent place and I loved the location, quiet but near center of town and action. Roosters were not a problem for us. Most of the staff were excellent, very nice and very helpful (with the exception of two individuals, try not to run into them). There is continental breakfast. Rooms of same price vary in interior, but ours was excellent. The place to swim is Zachary Taylor Park. Ride the Conch Train on your first day to find out what's around. I had excellent time and would definitely stay at Lighthouse Court again.

First off, the staff was adorable. Once we got our room, we were pleasantly suprised. (beds were a little hard, but since we were so close to the bars and attractions...sleeping wasn't an issue.) We will, without a doubt stay here everytime we visit!

The roomjs are small but very nice. The location was a little farther from the heart of town than we'd like, but, the price was more in our budget than the places in town. The pool and courtyard area was heaven! It was hard to believe that Duval Street was only a block away! Our only complaint was the parking. It's at a premium in Key West and we were led to believe in their description that there was ample parking. There are 9 parking spaces for 40 rooms! We were told at check in that they were full and we'd have to drive around a few streets and look for a free space or we could use a pay lot a couple of blocks away - for a daily fee. We found a space close by on a side street and didn't dare to move our car the rest of the trip so we walked everywhere. The island is not that big so it really wasn't a problem, but, be forewarned about the parking! Other than that, the staff was wonderfully pleasant and all the other guests were very nice. Breakfast was mostly muffins and bagels but the coffee was very good and the atmosphere was lovely.

Location, location, location! Being one block south from Duvall is great! You're nearest the east end of Duvall; a walking trip to the most western end puts you at about a 15 minute jaunt (which is fine because you can see all the shops/bars/entertainment places along the way. The employees, desk help and cleaning staff alike, are quite friendly. The rooms themselves are small, but then again, space is at such a premium in Key West. But they were clean and well kept. Did not partake in the continental breakfast, so did not rate them for it. As for other reviews mentioning the roster crows in the a.m. from the surrounding homesteads, you really barely hear them.

This hotel is right across the street from Hemingway's house and next door to the lighthouse -two must see attractions. You can walk anywhere: the post ofice, laundromat, restaurants and bars. It is also one block from Duval Street and also one block to Highway 1. Guest parking is very limited. We had to park on the street, due to the attractions nearby, it was hard to find space. The chickens can be annoying at breakfast. They will jump on the table if you start feeding them!
Overall a great deal for the location and would stay there again.

Not staying on the beach is my only regret. The hotel is very close to DuVal where everything is located. I liked the view from the hotels on the ocean.
