In case today is not the day for beach life, head away from the sea and into the glamorous shopping of l'Eixample and the renowned street Passeig de Gracia where you will find Armani, Gucci and Burberry as well as shops like Zara and HandM. If you want neither to go sunbathing nor shopping perhaps you want to visit some of the great attractions of Barcelona. Experience the work of Antoni Gaudi, the Catalan artist and architect who reached legendary status in the beginning of the 20th century with attractions like Parc Guell, Casa Battlo and the famous La Sagrada Familia. Barcelona also hosts museums containing art from Juan Miro and Pablo Picasso. See one of the many live concerts, visit a festival or just hit the late night clubs in the olympic village. In this apartment the whole of Barcelona is within a five minute walk. TransportYou are already staying in the middle of the town and can reach most things by foot. If you still need the metro you will find the closest one next to Theatre Liceu, 100 meters from the apartment. The main metro station from where you can reach each line is located below Plaza Catalunya on the top of Las Ramblas. If you would rather use a taxi there are plenty of them all around town, especially around Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. If there is a green light on the roof of the taxi, it is available.
