Lovely room. When you got to it. This is a fine hotel for those that like to walk. It is about a mile from the parking lot to your room. It is about half a mile from your room to the restaurant areas and always through the casino. If you like casinos, opulent hotel rooms, convenience, they are much better.

I loved the location of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was there was broken glass in the carpet and I cut my foot. I hated the parking garage. Very hard to find your car with all the construction. Otherwise my stay was wonderful at the MGM and stay again!!! :)

Location was great - employees very helpful. First hotel room was not clean and in bad location had to move rooms. All in all a pleasant stay but did not start out that way. First room was dirty (dirty towels with makeup stains - used dishes - unmade bed). Second room was only on the second floor and the AC did not work very well. Changed rooms for the second night and got a MUCH better room on the 23rd floor with a killer view of the strip. The hotel is in an awesome location and the employees are just great. Very sympathetic to grouchy girls who were not happy about their crappy first night. Awesome pools - wish it hadn't been so cool but the hot tubs were enjoyable.

My daughter turned 21 and we were there to celebrate. And did we ever! The hotel was fabulous the service was above and beyond. The location of the MGM was perfect to access the strip and the couple of shows we had booked. The only situation we encountered was that in our "package" 2 tickets to CirdeSolei were included however; we had big problems getting our tickets. I had booked the show we wanted to see a couple of months before our trip. I received a confirmation number and was told to go to the box office 2 hours before the show. Luckily, we went to the box office in the morning of the show but were told that the hotel did not CODE in a proper number inorder for us to receive our tickets. So we had to go back to the MGM and speak to a representative there. Apparently, Orbit who booked our package did not indicate that these tickets were included with our package, so the hotel did not want to release these to us. It seemed to take up alot of our vacation time trying to get this issue straightened out. The MGM finally assigned a "code" inorder for us to receive our tickets. I would suggest in future that the ticket agent advise clients the process required inorder that others do not have to go this experience. It was the only thing that did not make me happy. There was definitely a communication problem between the travel agency and the hotel, and this shouldn't be the client's problem.

checkin was easy. room was ready early 11:00 am bathroom had not been cleaned, but we were able to bring luggage to room. houskeeping promised to clean and make right. every thing seemed fine . tried to use room safe had to call security to open and reset electronic combination . first time the toilet was flushed it almost overflowed ,the next morning it did overflow. We called maintenance & it took them 4 hours to fix and clean up. It was our wedding day ans we couldn't shower until mid-afternoon. After our wedding, with 14 guests drinking a champagne toast, the toilet overflowed again. We left to go downstairs to dinner (Wolfgang Puck's & an excellent meal) and returned to find nothing had been cleaned. We demanded a new room which they gave us and had to move our belongings for the rest of the stay. We received no apology or compensation. In the new room, the hairdryer would not run . We will not stay there again.

My overall experience with my stay at the MGM Grand was good. The room sizes were good although I loved the first room that I checked into which had a queen sized bed with clean sheets! The second room that I checked into was dirty. One of the pillow cases were dirty and there was a used plastic shower cap on the shower head. There isn't any shuttle to take to the strip but the taxi cabs are always available. And the grand buffet isn't that grand. I would recommend this hotel for all it's fun nightly entertainment but not for anything else.

Upon arrival, the MGM was top notch. Our room was in the West Wing and was absolutely perfect. We are seasoned Vegas travelers and have now decided the MGM is where we will stay from now on. There were several five star restaurants and 3 Starbucks. It is a very big property, but extremely accomodating to all visitors. I would recommend the MGM to singles, couples, honeymooners and families as it has something to offer everyone.

It was our second stay within 6 weeks at the MGM. We came back and stayed again because we were treated wonderfully. Everyone was very polite and helpful. The beds are so comfortable. We ate at the buffet, studio cafe and wolfgang pucks---all at the MGM--they were all very good. My daughter used the fitness center etc., and said it was top of the line. We will be back im sure.

the mgm grand was very nice. we wasted no time in checking in. the room was clean and very very pretty nice view too. we stayed on the 12 floor. the nickel machines was very loose i loved jackpot party. i played the quarters and nickels ad did pretty good. i tried other casinos each night and stayed at mgm the last night and new york new york since you can walk across to it. i would definitely stay there again. but we try to experience a different hotel each year when we go for our wedding anniversary. the bathroom is very big and the room very pretty and comfy. i loved it. there are nice places outside to buy souvenirs for one dollar instead of spending more money in the hotel. real nice souvenirs too. i loved the location and i love to walk so it was very nice. i would definitely stay there again.

Can't check in until 3:00 pm yet they close the pools at 5:00 even though there were a few hundred people out there and it was 98 degrees. I was ignored during the check-out process also. A lot of money for a lot of nothing.

The MGM Grand has everything we wanted for a 3 day stay under one roof. There are 6 acres of pools to enjoy outside, shopping, casinos, dining and entertainment/shows inside. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom area, sitting area with a couch and coffee table, closet to hang clothing, and a safe to keep valuables. There was a monrail to take you anywhere on the Vegas strip you wanted. The 3 lions at the inside zoo enclosure were incredible to watch.

The lobby smelled like flowers-- even if it was fake, it was beautiful. I just didn't like Vegas in general- nothing to do with the hotel. Rode the elevator with a prostitute. Pure luxury, with a fragrant lobby, spacious and clean rooms, several pool areas, and amazing views.

The MGM Grand was alright but nothing to exciting. The room smelled like it had been smoked in, no free WI-FI, room view was hardly anything exciting and the hotel staff really didn't do much to improve the situation. I would recommend staying elsewhere unless you want to be way off the strip or don't mind overpaying for nothing extra ordinary.

This hotel is huge, but you'd be surprised to find that there is only upscale restaurants unless you want McDonald's! We thought the Rainforest Cafe would be a happy medium but the food was disgusting! We like to go to a nice dinner, but can't afford one EVERY night. Also, was led to believe that the pool area was something special. Not really, a whole bunch of small pools with very few umbrellas. When we checked in, they offered us to "upgrade" to a suite. We said yes!! What a HUGE disappointment!! It was a big out of date ugly room! Clean, but not what we had in mind! I've been told if you stay at the MGM to stay at the Signature. Wish I would've known before!

I was told by hotel staff that it was the largest hotel in Vegas. It certainly had all the amenities I wanted, many restaurants, a spa, a salon, a huge pool area, a large and well equiped fitness area and of course a casino. My only major complaint is that to use the fitness area you must pay extra, it is not included in the room charge. The room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The showerhead in the bathroom could have been placed a little higher, and I'm not that tall. Overall very nice hotel, but I'm sure all the hotels in vegas are nice.

The Blue Man Group was quite amazing. The pool complex at the MGM was huge. The hotel has many facilities and the Grand buffet is awesome, and cheap at $29.99 for an all day pass.

great casino! Hotel and location is ok. I am a regular in the Las Vegas area, have relatives there. I enjoy seeing the different casino's and want to try each main one if I can. This room was VERY small but very modern and effecient, like a businessmans room. There were 2 of us, so at times it was a little cramped. The room was VERY far from the elevator, so far we had to pack a little snack. These hotels remind me of the cruise lines, bigger and bigger, not necessarily better. I would recommend this hotel with certain reservations.

MGM Grand is a very large hotel that tries their best to accommodate their guests. It has a large variety of places to eat and an amazing pool. The waitresses in the casino were slow with serving drinks. I went to MGM for my sister's 30th birthday with a group of 25 people. The check-in desk did their best to get all of our rooms close together and were quick acting whenever contacted, i.e.: for extra towels, room service, etc. The fast food places were good for lunches and the restaurants in the hotel were nice too. The pool area has a lazy river, an area for children, and a 21 and over area called Wet Republic. The pool was great, but I never made it into the Wet Republic because it was $175.00 to rent a lounge chair for one person, yes $175.00 for a lounge chair or get this a better deal $750.00 for a table with 2 bottles of liquor. My friends and I thought that was a bit much for a pool, but I hope you have fun if you ever make it in there. Overall, my stay at MGM was great. There's something for everyone to do. Our group ranged in age from 23 to 60 and everyone had something to do throughout the day.

The Mgm was not what I expected it to be. We spent extra for a suite for our anniversary and it was not what you would expect for suite prices. The room was very hot, the entire stay and after several calls we gave up, because we didn't want to ruin our vacation. I have to say the bathroom was the best feature of the room. The entire suite needs some renovations! The furniture had stains on it and the Mgm was to cheap to put two tv's in the suite. The curtains were old and the room was very dark, just not very happy with it at all.

The MGM Grand set the stage wonderfully for our first trip to Vegas. The hotel (it's strange to call something this huge a hotel) is located in the heart of the strip with easy access to the Las Vegas Monorail, and the (free) Excalibur-Luxor-Mandalay Bay Tram. We stayed in the newly refurnished West Wing where the minimialist decor and earthy green & gray tones are a welcome escape from the dramatic, overdone nature of the strip. Dining opportunities abound in the MGM grand and offer something for every taste and in every budget. Even on the weekend of a major boxing match, the hotel did not feel crowded, and the employees were especially warm. Staying at the MGM grand for our first trip to Las Vegas was relaxing, rewarding, and memorable!

Your check-in time should accomidate your flight time. Flight came in around 7:00 am Las Vegas time and we could not check in until 3:00 pm. Most of the hotels my family stayed in received robes for their comfort however, ours did not.

The MGM was very nice, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were just the right size. The Hotel is well kept up and the staff is very friendly. I have stayed there before and will stay their again if I go back to Las Vegas. The location was great with the stores near by and all the crosswalks to get to other Hotels and the Montreal starts in the MGM and It takes you all the way down the strip.

For a name recognized hotel, the rooms were pretty basic. The rooms did not have coffee makers. I guess they were trying to move the customers to the food area and the casino floor. While the rooms were non-smoking, the whole hotel smelled of smoke becasue of the casino. This may not be good for small children and individuals who are pregnant. The mini store in the hotel charges exorbitant prices for small bottled waters. There's a walgreens a couple of blocks away from the hotel.

Customer service was good. The amenities in the hotel were not to my standards. The rooms did not have a fridge or kettle like you would expect in a 3* + hotel. I would recommend this hotel to family who has younger children. It is far from the central attraction. You can take a bus that cost $5 good for 24 hr; however, the bus ride may take a while since loads of people get on and off. At night, it is quiet and not much of a night life as you would expect in Las Vegas. The amenities in the hotel were missing such as a fridge, kettle, sewing kit etc. I would like to have a fridge at least so my drinks would be cold for the next day since it was 30C+ in Las Vegas.

The strip is so much fun and fantastic. But with the great food and shopping, gambling, shopping, lounges, lion exhibit, lounges, nightlife ,pool, shows and so much more...there is really no need to leave the MGM Grand. We truly enjoyed our time. The employees are top notch. They are so friendly and accomodating. Our room was wonderful. Best bed I ever slept in. We will be back!

I reserved a room in the West Winng of MGM and wasn't too disappointed. The room was small, but hey, I was the only one in the room! They put me in the furthest end of the hall which was scary at first because that whole hall's lights were very dim and kinda' dark. But once I found out that room was right across from the elevator lobby, I didn't mind. Thank God I wouldn't have to walk the entire length of that dark hall! Carpet is old, but the bed is extremely comfortable and all the extra pillows were nice and fluffy. I like having white sheets and a white comforter, it's more sanitary to me. Dining prices in the hotel restaurants are absurdly high! I wouldn't mind staying there again and would recommend this hotel to my friends. Just eat elsewhere.

We stayed at MGM Grand in early March 2009. On average it is a nice hotel, but not sure if I would go back. Here is a breakdown of what I didn't like: Staff: Bell hops had some attitude when you don't tip them (i'm not tiping some guy to put my luggage on a cart and hold it... i will tip when they bring it to my room). Front counter staff was kind and helpful. Room (standard tower - 24 floor): The showers were cold on most mornings, there wasn't a mirror in the room (only in the bathroom.. this was a problem trying to get ready when someone else is using the bathroom). The carpet seemed dirty and not a lot of padding. The maids kept walking into the room (after it was already serviced). Hotel: the hotel is too large. Difficult to navigate if you're only there for a few days.... needed more signage to direct. The restuarants were nice but very expensize... I would have liked to have seen cheaper restaurants (not mcdonalds). The lion habitat is cool... but sad seeing them so bored. Go to the Starbucks near the westwing (not as busy). Slots are not very loose. The hotel seems too far from centre strip. Shows: we went to see KA (40% discount while staying at MGM). I'm not into shows but I'm glad I went to this one. It was amazing... almost too sereal. If you go to vegas and dont see it... you're missing out big time.

We stayed there midweek. Unfortunately, my wife's back went out the day we arrived. We had to call for the security/emergency people. They responded within minutes and arranged for an ambulance/paramedics to get her to the hospital. We had a wheelchair ready upon our return. We also called maintenance to get into the safe that locked up. The locksmith called, arrived and fixed the problem in less than 15 minutes. The room was clean and the beds were probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Although the trip was cut short, the experience and the service was 5 star. I will return again.

This was our second time to stay at MGM Grand. It is our favorite hotel/casino to stay at in Vegas. The location is great, close to the airport, easy access to local highways. It's easy to get in and out of if you have a car and has great access to the backroads of Vegas. The pools are great and the service is wonderful. It's a nice casual upscale hotel where the middle of the road traveler can feel comfortable. The only drawback is the distance from the parking garage to the lobby and elevators to the rooms. But they have a monorail entrance which is fabulous to get around town in if you don't have a car. The rooms are great, the spa is wonderful and we will continue to stay there.

We upgraded our room to the west wing, well worth it! The only thing is the restaurants in the hotel were a bit pricey, like everywhere! Go to margaritaville for a burger on the strip! :) Will definately stay here again...

The MGM Grand has so many wonderful entertainment options you never have to leave! They have a wonderful pool complex that has multiple pools, including one for adults only so you don't have to worry about the kids splashing you while you rest poolside. If you do have kids with you they have 3 other pools and a lazy river for you to choose from. They have 11 different restaurants on site ranging from casual deli style to four star multi course dining. Then if you're still looking for something to do they have Studio 54 nightclub or Tabu ultra lounge. The only area that could be improved is in the room where you spend the least amount of time anyhow. The Grand Tower rooms only have a mirror in the bathroom area which makes it difficult for more than one person to get ready at a time especially if the bathroom is filling with steam from your roomates shower. I've stayed in their suites and they have mirrors out in the living areas as well, adding this to the Grand Tower Rooms also would make their rooms perfect!

While staying @ the MGM, I found it to be VERY disappointing. The rooms were VERY small, also, the walls were paper THIN, we could hear ppls conversations walking down the hall. Air conditioning in room was @ it's coolest, yet our room was rather warm and a little damp. Pool was EXTREMELY OVER CROWDED, our first day we roamed around for half hour b4 we found some empty chairs to sit, and the 2nd day we went back earlier and after half hour decided to leave. Staff was not very friendly OR helpful at all when we asked for some help locating a spot @ the pool. One girl we asked was actually very rude and abrupt with us. We decided to leave after that, and decided to walk the strip instead. I've been to Vegas before and this was my first and LAST stay @ the MGM, there are WAY better options on the strip for the SAME amount of $$$.

I liked the rooms and the hotels. I bought KA tickets directly from MGM and after I got them (waiting for the hotel room), there was a coupon for 30% off in our room. Hotel was very nice. Rooms were great! Only thing, we bought tickets for KA from the hotel directly while waiting forthe room, we purchased 4 tickets. After our room was ready, we saw that there was a 30% discount for hotel guests! When I later mentioned this to the hotel staff, they said you have to be into the room for the discount. I was not happy with this!

The hotel/casino/pool complex was very inviting. Staff were gracious and attentive. I'm from back east where cigarette smoking has been all but banned indoors....even on my non-smoking floor I smelled it. Couldn't get over that. The room was comfortable and efficient. The restaurant selection is extensive as is the gambling-alternative entertainment, which is good for me 'cause I don't gamble...I was at a convention in LAS. The monorail was great for getting to the convention center and other casinos. Overall I was satisfied with the stay and would recommend to others.

I was glad to see the updated reconditioning of the MGM Grand. Last time I was in town, at least 7 years ago, the grand wasn't looking so grand, but old and shabby. The MGM is still a bit confusing because of it's layout and massive size.I have never found the spa amenities, is there a pool? I did enjoy our stay, all staff; dealers, maintenance, individuals in restaurant/bars, were helpful in directing us when lost and asking for help. I missed having free live floor acts (live bands or performers).

Great value and the atmosphere at the hotel is exciting. Great central location on the strip. There is so much to do in the hotel itself, you don't need to go anywhere else. The restaurants were very good, but very pricey. The buffet is not worth the money you pay. Was disappointed with a few things. The website said that the river would be open, however it didn't even have water in it. The staff was extremely impersonal and didn't seem to care one bit about anybody. Biggest complaint is with the plumbing in the bathroom. The shower sounded like a bulldozer and the shower head was horrible. Long walk to your car, so grab everything you need. Overall its a very fun hotel to stay at, but wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. Great if you are going with friends and looking for the real Vegas experience!

This hotel was top-notch! You pay for it but the stay is well worth it! The staff was very courteous and helpful. The hotel complex itself is amazing, like a small city with everything you could possibly need or think of right inside of it. Very clean, sparkling, top of the line locale. There were plenty of food choices for all price ranges including many top restaurants. There were clubs, bars, coffee spots and 24 hour places to dine. We visited many hotels and I think that MGM Grand has one of the best pool areas in all of Las Vegas! The pool complex was huge, complete with a lazy river, music, restaurant, fountains, waterfalls and at least 4 pools. The rooms were clean and well-kept, with the only complaints being that in the West Wing rooms, the bathroom is not separated from the bedroom area (no door), plus the window only showed a dismal view of an outside wall. Inside the hotel there was a theater featuring a #1 show, with an offer of discounted tix to the MGM guests. Overall my boyfriend and I had an amazing time and I was so sad to leave. Still daydream of it every day, wishing I was back on that trip!!!

The high volume of travelers residing in this hotel makes the experience one of being another number. At the time of reservation we were informed we may get into the room earlier as they have the earliest check in time amongst all the hotels. We arrived at 10 am the registration itself took long. We were given a number to call to find out when the room is ready. No other options were given to us. We ended up waiting longer than any other people that we watched getting rooms right away or with a waiting period of 30 minutes. After hours of roaming around the casino, carrying our luggage everywhere while playing the slots, not being offered any refreshments, and having to call numerous times to find out if the room is ready yet, we finally asked for any room that would be ready. It was now almost 3 pm. We were then told that we could have stored our luggage, and that we could have had a different room sooner. This information was too little too late. Also, some of the roulette tables have the unfriendliest associates. When playing slots it's almost impossible to get drinks. Customer service is definitely missing, no apologies, no choices are given. We had a different experience with a different hotel years earlier. I will never stay at MGM again

I am the Assistant General Manager of an outstanding hotel ranked number one by both websites and local media groups in New Hampshire. I know the hotel industry well and feel comfortable in my evaluation of properties. The MGM Grand handled extremely high numbers of guests around the clock while managing to provide consistently great service at any time of day or night that I required assistance. The property's rooms, casino, restaurants, stores, and grounds were literally IMPECCABLE! Keep in mind, that I am highly critical of hotels. I also had time to visit all other major hotels on the Vegas strip, and although several others are comparable in hotel granduer, none of them could compete when taking into account all other aspects of the property (eg-casino, nightlife, quality of food, pool, conference room (wow, conference room was massive) staff hospitality, entertainment, room decor, etc...) If this doesn't explain my position well enough, I will include that I am booking my December 2010 wedding at this location. There is no other hotel or staff I could trust with this event. Sincerely, An Actual June 2009 Guest

Having stayed at hotels around the US and Australia I would stay this is up there with some nice Five stars we havestayed at in the past. Also having a casino down stairs helps. We would consider the MGM again.

The corridors leading to the MGM was smelly with tobacco. I think it would have been better if they did try go get rid of the smoke or they can create separate sections for smoking and non smoking.
