Decent sized room with 3 single beds, very warmly heated but unable to lower. Receptionist less than helpful, housekeeping staff very accomodating and let us book into room 2 hours early. Problems with bath as it took 15 mins to run 2 inches of water which ran out of bath in 5 mins so no long relaxing bath after sightseeing! Lift out of order next morning, bar permanently closed so regard this as an adequate place to sleep and no more.

Booked here online, only to arrive to be told there was no room for me - had all gone to a crowd of very rude, noisy American visitors! The embarrassed receptionist phoned through to the Manager, who said tough luck! He would not speak to me when I asked, hung up his phone and then turned it off so no-one could contact him. Fortunately the agency through which I had booked it found another room nearby, but the Majestic still got my money for nothing. Dreadful.

I like the hotel especially the location and price,however the only minus I can think of is that we left our lunch at the front desk and asked her to put in the fridge for us. However she did not until we found out later which is very bad. None of the second shift knows about it despited she told me she will leave a note to them.

Basic hotel could do with updating but extremely good value for money. If you're looking for a central London hotel without the pricey extras then I would recommend the Majestic. Front of house staff were friendly and professional Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. The room was clean although small as was the bathroom. Recommended for a cheap bed for the night
