Really nothing special for the price. Seems somewhat dated and the dark decor made it feel dingy rather than atmospheric! Breakfast is expensive for the fairly standard fare on offer.

5* luxury with a 3* price tag, excellent, can't rave enough about this little gem.me and my other half decided on the last minute to have a night away in Manchester.Me being as picky as I am, refused point blank to stay in just any hotel, so decided to book us into Malmaison as it was recommened to me by a friend (who is as picky as me). It's definately geared up for couples who either want to chill out in the hotel and eat there with a few bottles of wine or cocktails until the wee hours of the morning or like us who wanted something quick (but nice to eat) before heading out to enjoy the nightlife. Our room was beautiful, very tastefully decorated and the bathroom was great!Their own toiletteries I think are underrated as I took mine home, they smell devine and do the job.The staff couldn't have done more and were incredibly helpful and the best thing was the late checkout on the Sunday at an extra £40 you could sleep in till lunch then head down to the hotel brasserie where we had a 2 course Sunday roast with a full bottle of wine, and the £40 quid you paid for late checkout covered your meal and wine so you don't pay anything else. The food was amazing and I've eaten everywhere, and as I only eat chicken not red meat the chef was more than happy to rustle something up.We can't wait to go back, but I think for 2 nights this time.5* luxury with a 3* price tag, excellent, can't rave enough about this little gem.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here, and the showers were first class. I wasn't overly impressed with the food, considering the prices, however as a hotel, I had a great stay.

Malmaison is located only a stone's throw from Piccadilly Station and within easy walking distance of the city centre amenities. The staff are helpful and welcoming and the hotel is a little bit quirky - in a good way! I'd definitely stay here again.

Although the decor in the room was starting to look a little jaded, it was a good size and clean and tidy.We struggled a little with the temperature control, often either too hot or too cold. The staff were all excellent and the level of service I found to be exemplary.Mal Manchester is in a fantastic location to reach all parts of the city with good restaurants close by and on the doorstep of Piccadilly Station.

Really fantastic to sleep in a comfortable bed, with soft towels, perfect pillows and a great shower. It lived up to my expectations.

Malmaison experienceExcellent hotel. The only thing to let it down in the view is the restaurant for evening meals. I have stayed there a number of times now and I am always slightly disappointed with the quality of the food.
