This is a beautiful place to stay at, one of the best hotels on the strip..Rooms are real nice & loved the view of strip. We stayed at a deluxe room very nice, beds were real comfortable, I probably would recommend better lighting in bathroom a little to dim. Just make sure you don't grab the snacks or drinks in mini fridge they have sensors on them so once you grab it automatically sends a signal & they'll charge you even if you didn't consume it. We had to go to front desk to explain & they didn't charge us. The pool area is real nice best one in the whole strip..feels like you were at the beach. I would definitley stay again..

I enjoyed the Mandalay Bay. It really is a beautiful hotel. The only con was its location. Although on the strip, it is the furthest down on the strip so you cant just walk everywhere.

Mandalay Bay exceeded my expectations in all regards. The room was nicely kitted out, comfortable, and large enough that my husband and I could relax and enjoy the room. The property was clean, well maintained. Even though this seemed to be a family destination hotel, there were options for us as a couple to relax away from children, yet still enjoy all the amenities of the hotel. The options were fantastic, over 21 pool, as well as the option to play in the waves like a kid! Fabulous. The service throughout the property was absolutely exceptional. The staff at the pool, restaurants and throughout the property were attentive, polite and delivered top-notch service consistently. For that reason alone, I highly recommend the Mandalay Bay Hotel, and would return again should my vacation take me to Las Vegas.

In addition to room charges a charge of $20/day for the fitness center is out of line! I was attending a convention and am not a Las Vegas person. For someone attending a convention at the Las Vegas Convention Center this hotel is not a convienent location.

Didn't stay there this time but spent a lot of time there because of convention. Ordered a Long Island Ice tea and was shocked to find that it cost 14.00$. OMG what were they thinking. Won't be going back there.

THEhotel at Mandalay Bay is situated on the strip adjacent to the Four Seasons. I found THEhotel to be chic & modern with a boutique feel. My dinning experience at MIX restaurant proved to be exceptional. You arrive via an express elevator to the 64th floor that's encapsulated in glass. It's adorned with a stunning glass chandelier complemented by contemporary furnishings. The food was a culinary delight. The view and atmosphere from the adjoining nightclub/lounge is intoxicating. The music is awful. It wasn't country, rock, R&B, hip hop, jazz or anything else that I could identify with. I found my guest room tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Don't even try to get housekeeping. On day one I let the line ring for over 15 minutes, day two was worse as well as day three. I never ever had anyone answer. I enjoyed the spa. Front desk staff is courteous.

The hotel was beautiful - the rooms were spacious, GREAT bathroom fully equipped with a TV for tub enjoyment! Very clean, elegant hotel. Although they do have a tremendous pool area - Vegas is definitely for adults only! Although it was the first hotel on the strip - and it is a bit of a walk to the main strip - it was well worth the walk.

Upon arrival there were very few agents to do the check ins. Only after several people complained were more staff added to handle the influx of people. The handle on the toilet was broken when we arrived to the room. We called as soon as we saw it was broken but it wasn't fixed until the next day after we called again. Other than that - the pools are great; House of Blues is a fun place; there's plenty of coffee; it's an easy walk to the LUXOR and a tram ride further up the strip.

Huge suite with 2 bathrooms. Pricey restaurants. The Hotel was absolutely beautiful. Our room was huge and gorgeous. I have stayed at two other luxury hotels on the strip in the past, and expected Mandalay Bay to be another "above and beyond" establishment. Don't get me wrong, the room was pleasant, bed comfortable, bathroom sparkling clean, but what was missing was any hotel information. Even a chain hotel in the smallest town usually has some sort of hotel info in the room - restaurants with their menues and hours, any shops with their hours... I didn't even have a room service menu. I wandered all over the hotel - and I think I saw all the restuarants and shopping, but a guide would have been helpful. I even asked at the concierge desk and they just apologized and said they didn't have any additional hotel info for me to look at. Once on the casino floor (on a Saturday night) the servers were few and far between. I would order a drink, and never see the server again! The one thing that I am happy to have paid for was a cabana at their pool complex. The cabana host and food/beverage host were both fabulous and it made my day relaxing at the pool the best day in Vegas.

This was my parents and children first trip to Las Vegas, so we wanted to impress both. Both were satisfied. We saw Santana at the HardRock Hotel, the kids and I enjoyed the swimming pool. I have been at many Hotels and I never once had to pay for the Gym that was I think a complete ripoff. But other than that the Mandalay bay is someplace I would stay at again.

Mandalay Bay Resort was comfortable and the room and lobbies were nice. The positives: Close to the strip Free valet parking (at most, if not all, hotels on the strip). Very easy and fast check-in We enjoyed the pool scene and wave pool Room, for the most part, was clean and comfortable. The negatives: Carpeting was a bit shabby and sheets had some stains on them. We were VERY upset/disappointed that to use the gym/fitness center there was a $30 charge per person!!! Especially for the amount of money we spent on our room. NOTHING is free/included in this place except pool area entry. We stayed for 2 nights and left our room at around 2pm. Housekeeping never came back to clean our room or refresh towels, even after we removed the 'do not disturb' sign from our door. We tried calling housekeeping later in the day (~7pm) but there was no response, so we let it go. Service was fine - people were neither very friendly nor unfriendly. Most staff seemed indifferent, probably due to the nature of Vegas environment and the wide variety of individuals who visit. Big tip: take the tram from Mandalay Bay to Excalibur to get closer to the middle of the strip. If we visit Vegas again, we will definitely stay off the strip, rent a car, and valet our car in the center of the strip or just keep picking up and dropping car off with the valets of different hotels to get around better and more efficiently. All valet parking is free in Vegas. Traffic was not too bad when we visited on Thurs-Sat May 1-3, 2008.

There were 4 problems I had with Mandalay Bay. 1. The elevators at the hotel were horrible. I found myself waiting 15 minutes to get down from my room. 2. The pool is overrated to what I was told. To many kids were there and its not that big of a deal. 3. Its located at the end of the strip. Walk everywhere. 4. You recieve no drink vouchers on sports gambling. Even if you bet 500 bucks a game. It was a very classy hotel though.

The Lifeguards are rude. They enforce the rules as they see fit. The pool manager is demeaning and rude. The shower was broke and the sheets had black oil marks all over them. The feather pillows are not down, so the feathers poke through and jab your face all night. The shark aquarium is very nice but not worth staying at this hotel.

My fiancee and I just returned from a 4 night stay at Mandalay Bay on the Presidents Day Weekend. It is a beautiful hotel, and our room was wonderful, clean and great amenities including a flat-screen tv and a soft and cozy bed. It was great to have 2 sinks and vanity areas for 2 people, and Raffles Cafe and the Bayside Buffet were good meals at a reasonable price. The only downside is the location of this hotel, as it is on the end of the south strip and walking to other casinos and attractions is a problem. All in all, I would rate this hotel 4 stars out of 5 and would highly recommend it to friends, family, or anyone else.

This was my first trip to Vegas and when I go back I will be staying at the Mandalay Bay again. This resort has everything, there wouldn't be a need to go anywhere else, from full room service to pool side cocktail waitresses. There are cabanas for private pool parties, a wave pool, a nice liesurely raft ride, free towel rentals, a swim suit store, many other fabulous shops, restaurants for every palette from incredible prime rib to sandwiches, and a 24 hr. cafe, a starbucks, and an incredible aquarium in the convention center. The casino is one of the largest on the strip with the most professional cocktail waitresses. The grounds are just beautiful and well maintained. One of the best features that I liked was that they didn't have street vendors bothering you as you walked down the sidewalk. While I was there, I did venture out and visit quite a few casinos on the strip and the Mandalay Bay has them all beat. I didn't even get to mention to room yet, from the california king bed to the enclosed water closet, a walk in all glass shower, a two person bathtub with a very long counter with two sinks, a large flat screen TV with a smaller flat screen facing the tub, the view out the window was spectacular. Like I said when I go back next year, it will be at the Mandalay Bay again.

The Mandalay Bay was wonderful. This was our second time going to Vegas. I loved the layout and the super soft pillow top beds at Mandalay. Our view was fantastic overlooking the pool area and it was very easy to get around in the hotel. There was so much to do at Mandalay Bay that we really never needed to leave. Between the clubs in the evening, the dining options were superb. It never felt crowded as it can in other hotels and the staff was always pleasant and very helpful. We are already planning a trip back and will definately stay at the Mandalay Bay again. I highly recommend this hotel.

My first time at Mandalay Bay and it was a great trip. Room was very comfortable with a huge bathroom. Very clean, although maid service did show up a little early. Didn't take advantage of any of the restaurants there but I hear the sushi restaurant is great. Would highly recommend this hotel. Check in/out was very fast and every interaction I had with the staff was wonderfull. DO get to the pool early as it fills up very quickly. Only bad thing about the Bay is the location as it's at the end of the strip. The tram was down when we went to we had to walk everywhere, not that big of a deal, more annoying than anything else. Great hotel!

Beautiful looking suites, practical and comfortable. We were here during the low season so the feel of the hotel was slow, which was a good thing as this was more of a romantic getaway. Only big disappointment was that,Part One: as I was ready to take my shower, I noticed a small clump of hair in the shower. This was the first clue to the fact that the showerdrain was almost clogged and slow to drain. This should have been noticed by the last cleaning person and fixed. On the other hand, the lady who did our room the fist day noticed this and placed a call to maintenance without our having to request it (Kudos to her). Part two of this disappointment was that the maintenance woman who cleared the clog, poured the muck in the bath-tub and did not find it appropriate to run the water / rinse it off and left a mess in the bath tub. I regretted tipping her after I found out how half done her work was. Plus it prevented us from using the bath tub.

This was my first time in Vegas. The hotel was great. Excellent dining options and close to many restaurants and hotels nearby. Mandalay is connected by a complimentary monorail to MGM and Excaliber so it makes it easy to get around. The nice thing is that Mandalay is located at the end of the strip so there is not a lot of questionable foot traffic and people coming through. The casino was never too crowded and the their pool was the place to be in Vegas during the day. The only gripe I have is how hard it was to check in. It took me longer to check in/wait in line than it did to get my bags and travel to the hotel from the airport. I discussed this with other guests and friends outside of Vegas and they expressed the same challenge when checking in. Also, they did not have a room ready for me at 3pm. They said it would be an hour wait and I did not get a call for the room until 5 pm. Housekeeping was very attentive to special requests.

Our only complaint would be that when we checked in we were told that with our receipt we would get a discount to "The Lion King", when we went to purchase tickets for the week we were told there were no discounts and all the reasonable tickets were already gone. We stood in line over 1 ½ hours just to check in. The lines were wrapped around like you would see at an amusement park ride. After getting up to the front, our room was not ready (this was about 1:45). They said we could take a smoking room, but we elected to wait. They took our cell # and said they would call when our room was ready (probably around 4:00). They said we could enjoy the pool and that they could store our luggage for us while we waited for our room. We said ok. Then we waited in another line at the Bell station for 45 minutes just to have them keep our luggage. We then went out to the pool area. It was FULL. There were over 600 chairs out there and every one was taken and every inch of concrete was even full. People were lying or sitting on the concrete and sand area on hotel towels. We changed our clothes (in very small restrooms) and wondered around for 30 minutes before we finally found a tiny inch of concrete we could rest on. At about 5:00, we had not gotten a call yet about our room being ready, so we called the front desk to check on it (after waiting on hold about 15 minutes) and our room had been ready for a while. They had never called....not sure why. Anyway, we finally made our way to the elevator area to ride up to our room. Guess what....more long lines for the elevators. We finally got up to our room and it was gorgeous.....it even had a TV in the restroom.

The Mandalay Bay was a wonderful get away for my husband and I. The hotel has a wonderful cocoa butter smell to it that I absolutely loved! The room was beautiful. We arrived early due to an early flight and were able to check in and have our room by noon. The bathroom has his and hers sinks and a T.V. in it as well as a sunken tub. The restaurants have great food overall but ARE expensive. The beach area is the best on the strip. Something for everyone! The drinks are very expensive at the Bikini Bar though. $12 for a small mixed drink. YIKES! The hotel is at the far end of the strip so be prepared. But, overall, well worth it and a marvelous experience! We will be back.

On line I wasn't able to request a room for mobility issues but the staff was helpful with spouses mobility issue when returning from one of the restaurants, which was too far from the room. There was also no fan in the bathroom and the front desk couldn't explain this so they sent a technician to tell us we should talk to the architect (not so useful). The wave pool is what sets this hotel apart but it was crowded and there were not enough chairs anywhere by any of the pools for all the people. The hours of the pools are too short. Parking for check in was incontinent for those not opting for valet parking. I thought the hotel would have more of a European look and it was too modern for our taste as well as not having good surfaces for the mobility challenged.

Mandalay Bay is one of many hotels under the MGM/Mirage Corporation. Their mision statement is ...exceptional customer service. And 'our dedicated staff of overr $70,000 employees are committed to providing an unsurpassed experience for everyone one of our guests. They really missed the mark here! Customer service was pathetic. From the moment my family checked in to the time of our departure, their was zero positive interaction. This is not a sour grapes response...I actually won at the tables. The rooms are very nice, but when you have to wade through smokie halls, trays and trash scattered abundantly from your room to the elevator, it is quite sad. It was near impossible to park your car with valet...I had already checked in and was a current guest at the hotel and I was turned away by a valet. The pools are very cool and pretty exciting for the kids. Too bad you couldn't get service for a beverage. When we entered the facility, the lifeguards/employees were very poor with their meet and great and I felt I was doing them a favor by being there. Not to mention nearly having to beg for additional towels. Not once in 3 days did we we feel any sort of 'specialness'. It was if we were there to donate our money. I have been coming to Las Vegas ever since I was a young boy. This was the first time we brought our daughter (age 9). My wife and I were married in Vegas 11 years ago. The town holds many special memories...unfortunately this was a very negative experience! I will never spend another night there at Mandalay Bay. I'll take my money and my business to one of the many other hotels outside the MGM circle.

Mandaly Bay was terrific. I like that the bathroom was seperate from the vanity area. Also, liked the glass enclosed shower, with the bathtub seperate. Plenty of room, with two closets. If you are a typical guest at the Mandalay Bay resort, you should know that they charge $30. a day for their fitness room and $10. per woman and $40. per man per day to use their adult only pool. The other pools are jammed packed and if you do not get there at opening (8am) you may not get a chair to sit in until afternoon. The pools also close at 7pm. I found the room to be very comfortable and the bed was great to sleep in. During my waking hours, I was gambling, eating and enjoying the pool at another hotel. The concierge was not very knowledgeable for taxi vs. gray line rides to and from some of the resorts as being the best option.

My husband and I are seasoned travelers and found THE Hotel and Mandalay Bay one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. It was quite large, had a phenomenal view, huge tub, three flat screen TV's, his and her closets, crisp satin bed covers. In addition, the room was exceptionally quiet. This was a treat given the endless hub bub of Las Vegas. We were there on business so each night retreated to our luxury suite and enjoyed a bath and our view. Room service was also exceptionally courteous and reasonably responsive. Thank you, THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay. We will stay again.

The hotel was beautiful and the amenities were incredible. This is one of few hotels in Vegas where I would be just as happy staying in the room. One staff member offered to help my fiancé find lost merchandise and never followed through, causing her to spend 1.5 hours talking to lost and found. I would recommend this hotel for anyone willing to pay a few extra dollars for a wonderful experience. The rooms were amazing and the staff was great, with the exception of one individual whom was inattentive. I recommend this hotel, and you must go to the club on the top floor (Mix). It is an amazing view, but don't go if you are looking for the normal packed club in Vegas, this is less known. I loved my stay!

Spacious, beautiful, beds were comfortable, friendly service. Hidden charges and location was on the end of the strip. It was a great hotel! Comfortable beds, friendly staff, great clubs (the mix) and beautiful hotel. The only down fall is it is a walk to other hotels/casinos being the last hotel on the strip but its a great way to get your exercise! Also I probably wouldn't recommend the Bay Side Buffet, not the greatest.

Very scenic. No microwave or fridge. Wonderful hotel that surpassed my expectations! May not be the best place for infants since there is no microwave or fridge to house milk. I will be staying here again!

It was elegant, yet comfortable. The room was awesome. It was something to look forward to after a long day out on the Vegas strip. The location of the hotel was nice. You were close enough to the strip to enjoy it, but removed enough to be away from the party atmosphere. The pools were a great place to relax and enjoy the sun.

The Mandalay Bay & THEhotel @ Mandalay Bay are the BEST on the strip! Not only are they a 4+ Stars, but the ammenities are bar none the highest quality to be found in or out of Las Vegas. The rooms are spacious, and have a relaxed elagance that is lacking at most Vegas hotels. No garish bedspreads & curtins! Beautiful muted hues of mustard yellows, slate blues & chocolate embrace you in the hallways and the all suite THEhotel has a big screen TV not only in the Living Room, but in the Bedroom, and a small-ish flat screen in the Bathroom you can watch while soaking in the deep jetted tub. No need to go any where else; there is a Mall, 2 world-class spa's, gaming, and resturants that go from casual to food that you dream about eating! Their resturant AREOLE cannot be missed!! Their long running Broadway-style show: Mamma Mia featuring the songs from ABBA, rivals any New York production. And the whole family can enjoy it!

best pools you'll ever see, the fake beach even has a fake tide. very good check in service. nice room. bad location when the tram is down. shark attraction was really cool. good bars and clubs. easily one of the better mgm properties but the price, holy god. if you're not going for the pool, stay a couple casinos down the road for half as much.

Check-in was disappointing as the two front desk staff I dealt with had attitudes. I was told there were no high floor rooms available, then suddenly I was given one and was told it was an upgrade to TheHotel, however, I was only given access to the bedroom half of the suite. The mattress was soft and because I have a back injury I insisted that I be given a room in the main hotel at Mandalay Bay (which is where I had reserved knowing that those rooms had all been renovated within the past year and would likely have firmer mattresses). I was eventually given another room, but found it dirty (toothpaste on the taps, and hair in the bathtub). I complained to a manager the following morning and was then moved to a better room on a higher floor with a view of the strip like I had first requested. I spoke with two other people and they also had problems worse than mine. We were all given food and beverage credits against our rooms and this seems to be what they do in exchange for poor service/accommodations.
