The apartments here are very good, everything new and of high quality. The concierges are very friendly and helpful, much more so than in other places I've stayed. The location is on a main road near a major junction, so traffic noise can be an issue in some of the apartments.

I spend alot of time on business in london and have stayed in too many hotels to remember, Many very dissapointing, This however is by far the best, not just for value but also space and service.

Got upgraded to an apartment on the ground floor (street level). Arrived in the room with the heating turned up on full temperature. Very nice and mordern room though with nice kitchen and bathroom. But were woken by a bunch of drunking yobs on the street shouting and causing trouble. Receptions service was pretty awful with helping us for what we needed. Location isn't all that great either. No nice shops, bars, places to eat near by.

This is a very good short stay apartment. The room furnishings were brand new, it was clean, spacious, stylish, safely secured off the street, internet and tv good and easy to use. Only slight downside was location if you are heading downtown after underground closes, need to get a cab back, but that is minor, generally a very good choice.

london tripthe apartment was excellent with a double bed and double sofa bed. it was very clean and tidy and had a very nice bathroom with fast filling bath and power shower. the kitchen had everything you could need. the only problem was that we were charged 35 pounds for a cott when the room was only 80 pounds. the cott supplied was just a travel cott which couldn't have been worth 35 pounds to buy. if we had known about the sofa bed we wouldn't have bothered!

Excellent accomodation and excellent service. I booked a Studio, but on arrival they had upgraded me to a 1 bedroom. When I got to the apartment it was on the ground floor next a road. I went back to reception and they moved me staight away to an upstairs room. The iron was missing so next morning I informed reception. That evening a abrand new iron was waiting in reception!.Down side however, the aprtments are in a very poor area. The road is noisy from 5:00. There are some dodgy looking takeaways opposite, however slightly further down the road is an Indian Restaurant which does takeaways and was very good.

Was upgraded to a 2 bedroomed apartment and was very impressed. The accommodation was spotless, the specification was very high. The apartment was very spacious. The bedroom I slept in was bigger than any hotel bedroom and I also had a living room/dining area, kitchen, another bedroom and another bathroom. The only slight criticism was that there was no curtain over the glass in the front door which led straight to the living area. Therefore it felt a bit exposed, as it was on the ground floor and people could look in, if you were watching TV.Having been impressed about the accommodation, I am afraid I cannot say I was impressed with the location. I had wanted a central London location, but (from Old Street) I found I had to get 2 tubes, a replacement bus service and Dockland Light Train to get to Limehouse. It was dark by the time I had to walk to the apartments. There is no restaurant so had to go out to find something to eat. Majority of places available kebab shops and takeaways but managed to find a lovely Thai restaurant not far from hotel. Would thoroughly recommend this. The food was fab.

We booked the Misson Court Marlin Apartments as a last minute deal on Laterooms.com as we wanted some good reasonable priced accommodation for Saturday night. We were able to book a 1 bed apartment at a special discounted price of £80 for the night - the usual rate was advertised at £300 per night!!We were very impressed with the apartment which was practically brand new and in immaculate condition. It's basically a completely self contained flat, very spacious (easily big enough to live in) with an open plan livingroom-kitchen-diner, separate bedroom and bathroom. The livingroom had a flatscreen TV with freeview and a DVD player. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with fridge-freezer, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, together with a kettle and toaster and crockery and cutlery. We were also left with a small hamper with some tea, coffee, milk and an assortment of snacks. In a separate cupboard in the hall way you also had a iron and ironing board, and vacuum cleaner. The bedroom had a good provision of draws and a large wardrobe, and THE most comfortable bed!The apartments were only a 5 minute walk from Limehouse Station which is on the DLR Line. From here it was about 10 mins to Bank Station, or 5 mins to Fenchurch Street on the C2C train service. There was also a convenience store 2 mins down the road, perfect to pick up a few bits for breakfast or dinner. We were only staying for 1 night but these apartments would be perfect if you were staying for longer as it would be a real home from home. Whether you could get such a cheap deal though I dont know! The apartments obviously hadn’t been open for long so I imagine they offering them at promotional rates for now until they become better established. I will definitely look out for them the next time I need to stay in London!!

Excellent accomodation. Managed to get it on a late reduced rate, but very happy with paying more to stay here. Room facilities were excellent. How many hotel rooms come with a fully equiped kitchen, a lounge area, and a separate bedroom? Ideal for just a night, or as a base to explore london. Location is slightly on the seedy side, but once inside the place you'll never notice. And if all you're doing is staying overnight, then the quick links to the DLR are invaluable. Would reccommend, and will probably use again...

nightmareI could not fault the apartment or the staff in any way. The location was something else again. Ground floor within 15 yards of the Commercial road and opposite a night club. We managed about 3 hours sleep a night! The double glazing did not keep out the constant noise of traffic, sirens etc. On the Saturday we had 3 men eating there kebab and chatting outside the bedroom window! We checked out a day early due to exhaustion.

Highly recommendedI now always stay in the Marlin Apartments when on business in the area, as I find the self-contained apartments to be spacious, extremely clean and very stylish, with excellent facilities (decent steam irons, nice TVs and DVD player, good power showers, modern kitchenettes, etc!) The service is also very good, with a friendly chap on the reception. I see no need to stay in hotels now, as The Marlin Apartments are competitively priced and much much bigger than any hotel room. If you don't fancy cooking in the nice kitchenettes, there are lots of places to eat nearby (especially if you like good Indian/Chinese cuisine) and much better value for money than hotel food!

Fun couple of daysAs I was working during the day the appartment was a tranquil retreat for the evening, not that we spent much time there! The Indian restaurants of Brick Lane are just a short (£6 - £7) taxi journey away, a bit further afield (£10-£12 taxi ride) we also went to an Vietnamese place down old street which I can only recommend. Limehouse is not the most salubrious of areas but the appartments are self contained and lovely.

Review of our stay in MarchWe booked two rooms for a hen weekend in london, and this was changed on the day of travel but it worked out better. The rooms themselves were lovely, clean, modern and spacious. One downside was that one of the smaller rooms had dirty towels and our large room didn't have enough small classes for the 4 occupants. The area isn't the nicest, upon leaving the station we were greeted with two policemen holding a drunk man against the wall but if you ignore that it was a five minute walk from the station and easy to get to. On the whole we'd recommend this location but better if many people stay together.

Parking is a real problem. There is on street parking adjacent to the hotel, but during the day you have to pay and max parking period is 4hours, so unsiutable if you need to leave your car while you spend your day in London. We ended up driving towards Canary Wharf and parking about 1 1/2 mile away and getting a taxi back which was the best solution and in the end was not a problem just a bit inconvenient. Opposite the hotel is a great chip shop and there are also a couple of handy local shops. Transport links are not as good as could be as is some distance from a tube or DLR, but black cabs are fairly easy to catch outside and the staff are helpful with mini cab numbers

Nice place, wrong locationFrom the images on the website the apartment block is very nice (which it is I might add), but the area is not a very nice place at all. Very run down, and doesn't look that safe in the evening if you were on your own. If you want a night in to enjoy only the room then this place is perfect, but if you expect to go out in the area, i would avoid it. It's two stops away (either side) on the DLR from anywhere.

The accomodation we had was excellent although we found the staff unhelpful. When we phoned to get more specifice directions, no one could help us or no one answered the phone. On Sunday morning the girl on reception was quite rude and was on her mobile phone whilst trying to have a conversation with us at the same time.Although we loved the apartment we probably would look to being closer to central London as we spent a lot of money on taxis getting to and from the City.

We really enjoyed the space with our Marlin apartment. It was clean and light & airy and we would def use this type of accommodation again although possibly not at this location, only due to the fact that it was not as close to the town & sights, however good public transport helped (it took 45 mins on a bus to Picadilly) and we got to walk alot!. It is situated on a very busy main road so it can be a little noisy, but we quite liked the hustle & bustle of being in the East end.

The apartment was excellent however it was very difficult to get to because the DLR was closed.my main concern was that I had to chase up my booking myself as my reservation was not sent but the staff were helpful.my other concern was that my passport was photocopied when I got to the apartments.this is completely unecessary and simply checking my photo ID against my booking would have been sufficient. I had no guarantees that my Information would be secure. This marred what was a good stay.

Very modern and clean with the view of canary wharf. Close to local shops and take aways if you are feeling hungry or need to pop out for some quick neccessitys. The only problem about the place is that if you're driving then the only place to park is the streets and it has to be payed and displayed which means you will have to wake up early to pay for a permit to avoid being clamped.

Excellent quality apartment - good size for 2, lovely modern decor and furnishings and the food hamper was a very nice touch ... everything you could want whilst away from home ... so good you could pretty much live here which is why we prefer staying in the city apartments as opposed to a hotel. One one niggle - the staff were very polite and friendly but had almost zero local knowledge so couldn't help with our questions about transport links etc. Could do with maps to assist guests. We stayed here whilst attending a convention at the tobacco dock so it was perfectly located, but people wanting to see the traditional sights of London may find it a little far out.Would definitely suit the business traveller to the area.

Studio Apartment in London's East EndThe Studio Apartment was clean and spacious. Located only minutes from Limehouse Tube Station, just off Commercial Road so not the safest of areas - upon arriving we were approached by a gang of asian youths out for trouble fortunatly this passed with no incident. Parking is available outside the apartment at weekends which is useful - however you question how safe this is as undesirables cause trouble on surrounding streets. Cooker wasn't connected to the Electricity and a few things like bath plugs were missing. However, a nice place as long as you keep your wits about you when you head outside and you see up to no good youths on the street.

City BreakWe stayed at the apartments after a day at wimbledon so we could incorporate our visit to wimbledon with a stay in London. The room was fine; clean, tidy, big enough, no problems at all. The location was ok, fortunately it was a really hot morning so we walked to the south bank along the thames trail which we really loved. We arrived at about 9pm and was looking forward to a nice meal, unfortunately the receptionist didn't have a clue what restaurants where nearby, he didn't even know the hotel provided a guide in the room which included a choice of local restaurants.

Apartment was great. Although we ate out as we were only there 2 nights the facilities made it well able for you to come a meal, all the utensils required are there. Well impressed with the standard, finished well and we were lucky to get this room at the rate of £75 per night even though we booked it couple of weeks in advance. My sisters and my experience with the Marlin Apartments was not a good one. I had been in contact with them by phone quite a few times leading upto my checkin as I was expecting some concert tickets by mail (in the end, they were never received). The first time I called them was on the 20th October confirming my booking and asking if anything had been delivered to me, there hadnt. Arrived on my checkin date and the first thing I realised was that it isnt like the pictures on the website as I was under the impression that it was in a highrise complex on the docks. Thats probably my fault but it isnt clear that the Marlin Apartments Mission Court are only a few stories high and on a main busy road in a very unattractive area. Our flight had arrived very early in the morning so when we arrived they said we could only checkin at 3pm but we could leave our bags in the office, so my sister and I went into town. We arrived back at 6pm and the receptionist checked us in and said we could arrange payment in the morning. At 11.30pm we were woken up by a man not dressed in any uniform at our door demanding that we open the door as he was the Manager. He said that because we had not confirmed he demanded payment!! We were completely taken aback by this, not only had I confirmed a number of times by phone but there didnt seem to be a problem at all when we came in at 6pm which wouldve been a more appropriate time to bring up any issues. Aside from all this, entering the room there were a few problems. Firstly, the so called \"food hamper\" consisted only of 1 can of coke, 1 tiny cereal, 1 cup of soup, 1 soft bar, 1 tiny orange juice. This wasnt a food hamper at all and seeing as though the booking is for 2 people wouldnt there be 2 of everything? Secondly, when I had called and confirmed the booking we requested twin beds as we are sisters, this was also requested when I originally made the booking through laterooms.com. There was only a double bed made up so my sister and I had

We stayed for three nights and it's an excellent hotel. However there are some points that may be improved. 1) Too few tea bags (they may be available on request); 2) no wash-up liquid and scourger (isn't it a wastage to use dish-washer for a couple of dishes?); 3) My friends stayed at another date and they have salt and pepper but there is none in mine; 4) the network is not very stable. But they are only minor points and can't eclipse the excellence of this hotel.

A DIFFERENT SIDE OF LONDONStayed here for 2 nights, although the area in general is a little tatty within 5 minutes you are on the riverside and 10 minute walk the other way at canary wharf. the apartment was fab and so quiet at night. transport links were great but we walked each day along the river via various pubs to tower bridge which was a lovely 45 minute walk seeing things we had never seen despite visiting london for over 30 years!! If you use the tubes its only 8 minutes from bank we used the thames clippers £12.00 for the day and got off at canary wharf and walked to the apt. if you are visiting before end of september get a 2:1 booklet from any train station gives you 50% off the clippers vinapolis and lots of restaurants saved us £80 in two days.
