Due to flight delays, we had only 2 hours in the hotel. Excellent room. No 24 hour room service. We checked in 2 1/2 hours late. We had a concert to attend and didn't get back to the hotel until 1.30 AM. With a 3.30 wake up call to catch a shuttle.

This hotel far outweighed my expectations! It was hands down the best hotel experience I have ever had in New York City! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was beautiful, the rooms were nice sized and clean, the food was good and the rates are quite reasonable. When I booked the trip, I was nervous about the location (downtown, away from all the exciting New York action), but after my experience, that did not matter to me, everything was just a cab or subway ride away. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city, you will not be disappointed.

This hotel surpassed my expectations with not only superb service but also with the quality of the rooms, decor, location (room with a view overlooking the Hudson River,) concierge service, front desk, bell attendants and front door's men! Everyone my party came in contact with was friendly, smiled and was ready to serve. Our room was stylish with contemporary furnishings, cozy with a large picture window. The marble counters in the bathrooms were an added plus and the bedding and pillows were very luxurious and comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the financial district. This hotel is close to a subway (short walk) and close to an indoor shopping area and Century 21 department store as well as Trinity Church, St. Paul's Church (by Ground Zero) and various small restaurants. Young patrons can walk easily to the other side of Manhattan to the East River where Pier 17 (South Street Seaport is located) with a wonderful shopping complex that has something for everyone. I truly enjoyed this hotel!

Went to New York for the US Thanksgiving and this hotel was absolutely ideal....beds extremely comfortable. We had 3 people with 2 queen beds and had all the amenities you would want. The concierge service at this hotel was soooooooo fantastic...they found us Thanksgiving Dinner at the last minute-only $45 and the food was very delectable. Everyone at the hotel were friendly...very safe neighborhood and really close to some great shopping!!Would reccommend for comfort and cleanliness!

It was a very nice place to stay. The check-in was fast and staff was very friendly. It was very close to the WTC disaster which made for a lot of recovery construction right at the front door. The Marriott was a very nice place to stay. Convenient to the Statue of Liberty and Wall Street. For everything else the subway was a couple of blocks away and took you everywhere.

The room was great and the hotel was located near a few subway stations. If you need to be in the Financial District, this is a great place. Walking distance to South Street Seaport and Battery Park area, as well as the World Trade Center site. The online travel website price was far and away the best deal.

We chose this location for proximity to battery park and launches to Statue and Ellis island tours. Nice walk to Brooklyn Bridge. Nice view of Ellis island. to get both Statue and Island view I think you have to be above 30th floor. Pre paid breakfast 20$/couple option was a good deal, half the price they charged on site.

The staff went our of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Sitting on the lobby floor during a 3:00 am fire drill. The Hotel Concierge went out of their way to have a bottle of Champagne, with a plate of fruit, cheese & crackers waiting when I returned from running the New York Marathon. My mother forgot to have something sent to my room for the special occasion, called the Concierge and this is what they arranged.

The Marriott downtown was very comfortable, the room was larger than I had expected for a New York Hotel. Staff was accomondating. The beds were very comfortable and the room seemed to be sound proof. I felt safe in this location. The hotel is just a couple blocks from the subway, so transportation to and from uptown Manhattan was very easy. I would definitely stay here again.

Great views; exceptional comfort; very clean; wonderful amenities; an oasis in NYC. Location is a bit difficult for public transportation travelers. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations. Very clean and extremely comfortable with beautiful rooms. It's an oasis in NYC's busy financial district. The only negative is the proximity to subway stations if you plan to use public transportation.

Be careful with Cheap Tickets. They didn't do my reservation properly - the hotel didn't have it. They patiently called Cheap Tickets and resolved it, but it took 30 minutes. Kudos to the staff, boos to Cheap Tickets. All else good, except the main hotel restaurant - Roy's - is not open. Concierge could be more helpful.

Upon entering The New York Marriott Downtown, I was very pleased with my choice! The hotel was vibrant, full of happenings and staff very courteous and pleasant. I had an 8:00 a.m. flight into NY and took cab directly to hotel to ask about getting luggage held since checkin time was 4:00p.m. To my surprise, I was able to checkin promptly, proceed to my room to check out my accomodations, and start my tour of the city immediately!! Room was large (2 beds), had separate lighted closet for hangup clothes, nice flat screen TV and drawer safe which was a nice surprise. Hotel has a very safe environment/location and concierges very helpful with directions and map to all attractions.

The Marriot NY Downtown hotel in the middle of the financial district in South Manhattan is excellent. Walking distance from everything in the zone (Ground Zero, Wall St., Ferry Stations, Battery Park, and huge list). What wasn't nearby, metro stations and bus stops were also at walking distance. The staff were very helpful and very polite. The room had the perfect size for my family of four and since we were assigned a corner room in the 26th floor, the views were amazing. The only things to consider when staying at this hotel are: - Internet access is not free - There is no microwave oven in the room Should the above items be included, then prepare for the perfect experience (when you travel with kids). Other than that, I am very satisfied with the hotel.

This hotel was beautiful, clean and friendly. The restaurant was the only place open on Dec. 25. Food was not that great and it was overpriced. The staff was good and friendly. Both check in and check out were easy and fast. Front desk staff was knowledgeable. The door man and the bus boy were both incredibly professional, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The housekeeper attended to our needs. The room was always done. We did ask for a couple of things before we arrived and they were not in the room. We asked the housekeeper for an extra towel (they only supplied 3 for 4 people) and she never brought the extra towel. The TV doesn't have too many channels (but who goes to NY to watch TV anyways). We had construction right outside our windows; therefore, we were awaken at 6AM by the hammering and metal clinging of the construction. We asked for a room with a view and they gave us a room with a huge building on the side (no view at all). But otherwise, the hotel was great. Far away from everything but nice.

The lobby was attractive. Great views of the city. The electricity shorted when using two sources. Location was a little difficult to get to by car. Easier by subway. Enjoyed staying at the Marriott. Had more success talking to the staff in person than over the phone. The lobby was very nice and the amenities were well kept. The main bar could be a little bit cozier and the restaurant had odd hours for operation. However, all in all, I would certainly stay there again.

It was convenient to subway. The recommendations for restaurants given by concierge. Both restaurants recommended were bad. The hotel was pleasant with an upscale feel. The room was clean and new. Although the location was a bit out of the way from everything it was convenient to the Subway and easy to get around. The do need to recommend better restaurants because in New York City you can get great food without spending a fortune. The restaurants recommended were poor. Fortunately, the hotel has no control over the restaurants. It would do them well to research some off the beaten path type restaurants that are great little finds with great food. Overall, the hotel was a great.

We went for New Years Eve this year and stayed here. The front desk people were friendly, they were helpful. The hotel has a bar/resturant and a resturant, the prices are high. Our bill in the bar for hamburgers and main coarse salads for 4 people (included 1 glass of house wine and 1 beer) was $*. The lobby was really pretty. The are down there in the financial district was really quiet at night. We would come home at night around 11 or 12 and walk around the corner to one deli that was open and bring stuff back to the room. The thing I didn't like the most was the bed size. They are only full size beds! I thought nicer hotels were all queens by now! My husband is big, so that was quite uncomfortable. Another thing was the bathroom, it is small, the toilet/bathtub, and sink is all in one bathroom...so we were cramped in one trying to get ready. One more thing is the space, we had 4 large suitcases and there was hardly any room for them, we had one in the hall as you walk in the room, one in the closet, one on the dresser and one on the chair. BUT, overall it is a nice hotel and if you can put up with the small beds, bathroom and space then I say stay here! Thanks...

The bed linens. Parking fee is not included in the room rate. Surprise! While the hotel is lovely, I can't get past the excessive rowdiness from other hotel guests who were running through the halls, slamming doors, and yelling, instead of talking, to each other. It ruined what otherwise would have been a pleasant visit. In addition, I guess our ventilation was connected to the kitchen air ducts, because we could always smell food odors, which was slightly nauseating at times.

Room was clean, great linens and pillows. It is in a convenient area in the financial district and lower Manhattan attractions are either within walking distance or a subway ride away. Friendly and helpful hotel staff.

The downtown marriot was outstanding. The room was good sized. We fit 2 adults a 14 year old and and an 11 year old in the room comfortably. There was a desk with a huge work area, a flat Screen TV and a comfortable chair to sit in. Despite all that we were not squeezed in this room. We also had a nice view of the Hudson River. we could see Ellis Island and New Jersey. The statue of Liberty was blocked by another building. The bathroom was also very large and up to date.

Hotel was spotless. The rooms were large by NYC standard. The beds were the most comfortable of any I slept in while travelling. The check-in was efficient. The front desk staff were courteous, helpful and kind. I can't say enough about this hotel. Excellent choice.

The Marriott in the downtown financial district had a very friendly and helpful staff. The room was adequate in size. Our view was not a good one, but the staff was helpful. They went out of their way to tell us the subway stops and give us shopping tips.

View of river was incredible. Facade is a work in progress. Would stay here again, if business needs were in lower Manhattan.

The hotel staff is very friendly and professional, check in/out takes 1 minute. Rooms are extremely clean and I guess it is a first time I'm having difficulties to point to some issues. OK, the worst thing just came to my mind is that check in time is 3pm, so do not plan to arrive early morning - that is what we did. But hotel staff offered to leave our baggage and we spend a great time around, so by the time our room was ready (~1pm, 2 hours earlier than check in time) we already visited some places around. Great hotel for family with kids, as the area is not busy and at the same time location is convenient - close to subway, so it takes 30 minutes to get to the Times Square. We enjoyed stay in this hotel and would recommend it.

Great location for World Financial Center and Financial district. Rosy restaurant not open on Sunday nights. Great lower NYC location. Valet parking was easy in & out. Hotel is perfect for the business traveler looking for a location close to the NYC financial district.

It had a nice pool, workout facility & dry sauna. comfy bed. our room had a great view too. honestly, nothing comes to mind at this time. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed had a wonderful down featherbed, and duvet. The workout facility was quite complete, and the pool and dry sauna was an excellent bonus. I would definitely recommend the hotel, and would stay there again.

It was really pretty. It was nice but I deserved a free breakfast or something for the price. Breakfast was kind of pricey too ($52 for 2 people at the buffet!).

The view from the room. The location of the hotel in relation to the places in which I had planned to visit. The ongoing construction one floor above my room. This was extremely annoying. There reason, I was extremely disappointed with the hotel, is the construction which continued throughout my entire stay. My room was on the 31st floor and the construction was on the 32nd floor. This made it extremely difficult to rest. The construction began as early as 7:00 am and continued until 7:00 pm. I would have preferred another room in which you could not constantly hear the construction work - hammering, drilling, etc.

This hotel is really nice. Although they are working on the elevators to upgrade them, the wait was not long going up/down and between floors. They do have a Starbucks shop in the hotel so our one travel mate could get her "fix" every day. The front desk was very helpful in finding a pizza shop to deliver in the monsoon rains from Hurricane Hanna that hit NYC - and also provided umbrellas so visitors could brave the elements if they chose to do so. Our only complaint was that the drinks in the bar were ridiculously priced and service was somewhat slow. The hotel location is great to explore Battery Park, Pier 17 area, Financial District and the subway is not far away. The only time we needed a taxi was to get to/from the airport.

My room was recently renovated. The service in the hotel bar was just awful. If you don't mind a view of Ground Zero, this hotel is in a great location.

Easy access by car. Parking less expensive than mid-town hotels. Awkward and confusing if getting around by foot. The construction is really a mess. Rooms are pleasant, clean and roomy. Staff is accommodating and polite. Restaurant is excellent. Close to the subway, but you must walk past and through numerous dusty and dangerous construction zones. Prices should be lower while the World Trade Center Site is in the works. Very easy to get to by car, unlike mid-town or east-side hotels.

I'm not sure if it was mold or dust or what, but each morning we woke up barely able to breathe. The condensation on the window made me think mold because it was just so wet. The hotel is in the midst of all the construction, and uncomfortable to walk to at night. I'm glad to be home so I can breathe easier.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel service was wonderful! Their bar/restaurant lounge had great food and drinks. And we were just a few blocks away from Battery Park & Ground Zero. Subways are also easily accessible (even with the constructions), just a couple stops away from China Town and Little Italy.
