The Marriott Marquis has easy access to New York's best shopping, Broadway theatre and Midtown Manhattan attractions such as Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Good Morning America studios, the Fashion District and more.(0809/VL)The rooms are very large and kept in exceptional condition, with green carpets, colourful soft furnishings and dark wood furniture - very comfortable. Great views, very comfortable, spacious rooms, helpful staff. Expensive drinks but the view was worth it. Decided to get a room in NYC when the weather report predicted temps below zero. Had stayed here before and loved how convenient it was to the theatre, restaurants and shopping. This hotel is awesome. Saw the sunset from The view, was located 1 block away from the theatre we were going to, and had a super spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Room was quiet and we had a great night's sleep. Next time we will stay for the whole weekend. love this place.

I would love to meet the employee trainer. These people were phenomenal! There was nothing not to like. One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Right on Times Square. Every single employee was excellent. Even late at night. As a business manager I was impressed, and I am not easily impressed.

Despite its location near Times Square, the hotel contained quiet, peaceful rooms. The lobby's location on the 8th floor is disconcerting, but understandable. This is a first-class hotel, with well-appointed, quiet rooms that permitted neither street noise nor noise from neighbors. The amenities were excellent: flat-screen TV, luxurious bed, clean and modern bathroom.

Staff was friendly and helpful, directing us and answering typical tourist questions. They probably answer 100 times a day. But we found them always amicable. We had a lot of help from staff . Thanks for a great visit.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs. The room was spacious and well appointed. There was nothing to dislike. Excellent location for dining and theaters. Never had to wait for an elevator. The staff was very attentive. The room was spacious and well appointed - Everything was done well.

Rollaway bed is actually a nice, sturdy bed with frame. Lobby on 8th floor. A little inconvenient with luggage. Overall, our family had a good experience at this hotel. The gleaming marble/granite counters and tile floors add a nice, luxurious feel to it. Our children like the open elevators in which riders can look out while they are in motion. Guests are directed to the right elevators after they keyed in the floor of choice. This cut down waiting time considering there are probable about over 10 elevators working at the same time. The hotel hallways feel very open. Thanks to the creative open wall design. The cut out metal wall design add a contemporary feel and help open the space at the same time. A lovely design.

Fantastic location with the best staff I've seen in 20 years of travel. It's huge - but so is New York City - you get used to it. This is the bestexperience I've ever had and at the best NYC hotel.Not only was the staff at this hotel the best I have ever seen in New York, San Francisco, Chicago London or anywhere else, they made every guest feel like royalty. You are an idiot if you stay anywhere else.

"Great location, close to broadway shows, restaurants, and subway. We requested a room above the noise which was granted. Beds were comfortable with spacious rooms. Check out time is 1200; however the shuttle was due to pickup at 1:15, we were allowed to extend our stay until 1:00pm."

Convenient. 10th floor looked like a zoo. Stayed at the 10th floor where the Hotel has placed very ugly nets to guard against objects being tossed down the atrium or to avoid suicidal attempts. The nets are so ugly that you feel you are in an Hotel under construction. Also the toilets were not working properly.

Outstanding location & excellent service and amenities. Marriott resorts sales people are a bit aggressive. From the time we got dropped off in the taxi the service was top notch, helpful at all points form check in to taxi stand to concierge. The location was priceless, view of items square, walking distance to many major attractions and sites. While we did not dine in the restaurants, we enjoyed the bars and the gym is amazing!

The Marriot Marquis is really accessible. But service of the hotel is bad. My colleague and I stayed for business for 5 days. The key card to the room could not be used after 3 days. Staff at the desk counter and concierage was cold. The worst part was the lift to the rooms. It has the worst possible type of lift technology I've ever seen in any 5* hotel.

We visited New York the last week of July for our 20th anniversary and we had a great time. The hotel was perfect. We had a king size bed and the room was bigger than I expected. It was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is in the perfect location. You walk out of the front door and you are literally in Times Square. We had a view of Times Square from our room and it was remarkable. My husband used the gym several evenings and he loved it. He's very particuliar, so coming from him, that's vey high praise. I highly recommend this hotel. I would absolutely stay again.

This was my third time using this particular hotel. The rooms are great, very comfortable beds...almost too easy to sleep late. The hotel has many services and shops within hotel or in close proximity. The concierge desk is quite helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to help make your stay wonderful. There's an office to purchase bus passes, tickets to shows, and other venues. Starbucks, gift shops, restaurants. The best aspect is this is a well-managed hotel - every staff member was exceptionally friendly and responsive to our needs. Difficult to even think of staying anywhere else. Location is great for going to shows but also convenient for catching bus or subway to other areas. The only suggestion I would have is that the gift shop carry a selection of camera cards and chargers for batteries.

We stayed for the weekend and the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Excellent location , in the middle of Times Square, centrally located to all major areas of New York City. Starbucks in the hotel, we were happy! Excellent staff, clean room, excellent room service, comfortable beds, everything was wonderful. I especially like the hotel security after hours, it made our family feel safe.

Location, and exercise facility was great. Water flow in shower was poor last morning of stay. Clean, upscale, exciting hotel. Rooms were large with updated amenities. Revolving bar on top was enjoyable.

This is the second time we have stayed at Marriott Marquis in Times Square and we will stay here every time. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable on everything from tours to great restaurants. The location is convenient to landmarks, double decker buses, subways and, especially, to numerous Broadway shows. We always feel safe and rest well here. We love it because we can walk across the street and have a Junior's cheesecake each night if we so choose. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
