Even though the hotel is not located in the city center, it's very well connected to public transport and therefore suitable for both, individual travellers and groups. 0807 hm From the outside the hotel is quite an imposing building. It is modern, with a white facade, and bordered by an attractively designed garden. The hotel is located to the north of Munich's city centre in Schwabing. To one side of this district is the Olympic area while on the other is the English garden.

Good safe location, friendly people, and comfortable rooms. Nothing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very good as the U-bahn (subway) is just a couple of blocks away from the hotel. City's downtown area is about 10 minute ride away on the U-Bahn. The area around the hotel is pretty safe. I also parked my car outside on the street (if you can find a spot) and it was safe. The hotel staff was very helpful. I had lost my ATM card and they helped me look up the number of the bank from the internet and even called them for me from the front desk. They made sure that I was able to cancel my card. I would go back to this hotel again.

Lots of light, comfortable, friendly staff, coffee on morning of departure. Strange flower arrangement looking like it needed to be fixed in lobby on morning of departure, no place to put used coffee mugs. Refreshing, roomy, well appointed place to stay -very American (in a good way) after having stayed in smaller European-style hotel rooms.

Close to the Airport bus stop. Lots of noise from people in the corridor. Better soundproofing or QUIET-signs required! The hotel is located close to a subway station in a quiet area. The bar is quite nice and the room was OK. However, due to noise from people walking, talking and shouting in the corridor outside (it sounded as they were inside the room), I failed to get my beauty sleep.

It was close to the subway but still in a quiet beautiful area. The breakfast was amazing. Food and drinks were very expensive. This place is a bit out to the way but easy to get to. Their breakfast was really great, they offered everything you could imagine and everything was delicious. It was very expensive though, as well as items at the lobby bar. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

This was ourfirst visit to Munich, but we had no problem finding our way around. The locals were very helpful! Even though the hotel is away from the main centre, it is easy to access using the very efficient (and cheap) train system. One point definitely worth noting is that if you are in a group of 5. you can get a group ticket which covers travel to the airport or anywhere else in the Munich area for 18 euros. Munich zoo is also well worth a visit, even at this time of year. As for the hotel, it was everything you expect from a Marriott. Good food, facilities and friendly efficient staff.

Superb meal in the Cafe 93. Nothing. Excellent five star hotel in North Munich, very convenient to the airport bus stop (short walk). Not real convenient to downtown, except by subway, which is only two blocks from the hotel. Excellent rooms, super service from staff, great meal in restaurant.

Very nice rooms and lobby area. The Marriott was a beautiful hotel in a nice neighborhood not too far from the subway station. They had coffee, tea and fruited water in the lobby and the rooms were nice.

Beautiful, business oriented, excellent beds! The hotel is slightly towards North of downtown, but the subway is less then a 5 minute walk.

The entire staff is wonderful. The sports bar has the best hired help in Munich!!!!! Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Would recommend to all. Try it....you will like it!

Public areas are nice and clean. Service was good. Room has shown its age and not very cleans either. Decent location. 3 minutes walk to the u-bah station and 10 minutes from downtown area using u-bah. If you're picking up your bow, it's also only 3 stations away from the delivery center. The room is very basic and unattractive. The carpet is dirty and there're many cracks on the bathroom tiles.

Good hotel with a great location. Room decoration and condition of the bathroom were not that of a 4 star hotel. Like the renaissance Munich (which is a block away) this hotel has fantastic access to the u-bah, and therefore quick access to the entire city. The hotel itself fell short of our expectations, especially after having come from another Marriott property in the previous leg of our journey. The age of the room¿s shows, both in the decoration of the rooms as well as in the seriously cracked grout in the shower (nit-picky, I know.) The breakfast, which was included in the rate we paid, was fantastic, with omelets cooked to order. Back to negatives: the lounge located in the main common area makes the whole of the ground floor smell of cigarette smoke, which we found unpleasant. On whole, this is a good hotel with a great location, we may not think it was of 4 star qualities (at least not today) but it was good enough.

Clean and Spacious. Great deal for the Money Very American. Not part of a European Experience The Marriott Munich was everything you'd expect from a Marriott. It was clean, bright, spacious. The beds were double beds (both of them). The only downside is that it was clearly designed for Americans. There was no European feel to it at all. Even the restaurant downstairs was called the California grill. If you're just looking for a comfy place to sleep this is great. If you're looking for an experience, find something a little more local.

Staff was very helpful and nice. Location is convenient to public transportation. Very comfy room. Parking is free on the street, but hard to find. The attached garage is expensive at 22euro/night. This hotel is very nice. Great location at the northeastern edge of the city. It is convenient to the airport, Olympic park, and a U-Bahn line is only a couple of blocks away. The staff was all very nice, very helpful, and all spoke fluent English. The concierge was especially helpful. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The neighborhood is also very nice and quiet. The only complaint is that free parking is very limited on the street and the attached garage is 22euro/night. However, parking is scare and expensive in Munich in general.

Very friendly staff and comfortable beds. Bathrooms in need of renovation. Nice hotel in good and safety location. New renovated lobby area. Pool and fitness room. Hallways old and no atmosphere but clean. Would not pay the official rate!
