Parking fees were excessive; hotel was on the fringes of historic district and should not be pooled with other more centrally located facilities.

I redeemed Marriott Rewards points to stay here for two nights with my family. Although the hotel was very nicely decorated, clean, and very friendly attentive staff... I probably won't stay here again. The view was great and being within walking distance to the river walk and downtown Savannah are the best features of this hotel. Internet access cost extra in the room (we had to carry our laptop to the business center to get free wire-less internet access) and breakfast is not included and quite pricey at the Blue restaurant.

Easy access to River St and free bus or trolley transport. Easy access in and out access to parking lot. Rooms clean spacious and new. We did have a problem on first night with excessive noise from large ground floor HVAC units - but room was changed with no problem. Don't drink at bar unless you are on expenses.

I liked the location on the river, the view is great and the area to sit outside is great. There is no complimentary or continental breakfast or coffee. The employees are exceptional. They work really hard to accommodated your request. There is also a eighteen dollar parking fee to stay at hotel.

Upscale amenities, location, large bathroom and high quality bedding. Expensive parking and expensive internet. Very nice amenities, bedding was fantastic, as were the toiletries that were provided. Parking was expensive $18 a day and internet was also expensive and slow $10 a day.

Bath products were nice. Room smelled like smoke, too far from historic district - not a 3.5 star at all. It was not locatedcentral in the historic district, but way at the end of River Street. The check in staff was not particularly friendly and the room smelled of smoke. They charge $18 to park and you have no other real choices and they own the parking lot/deck. Pool in lobby was also noisy with unattended children.

Good for business travelers. Probably not the best choice for leisure travelers. This would be a perfect hotel for business travelers. If you are a tourist I would recommend another hotel in Savannah.

Comfortable bed. Everything was extra. No free parking, breakfast, newspaper or Internet. Room was noisy. No extras here. No free Continental Breakfast, parking, newspaper or wireless Internet. Everything had a fee. Hotel wanted to charge $18 per night for parking. Don't do it. Go to the Visitor's center and buy a parking pass for $8, good for 2 days! You can park in any public garage, lot or parking meter (the hour or more ones). We did this and parked our car on the street overnight near River Street. Also, the city has 2 different free shuttles (called the Dot). They are buses that make a certain route around the historic district. You can get on and off at any of the stops. Maps of the routes are available at the Visitor’s Center. I tried to inquire with the hotel about the free shuttle and they knew nothing about it. I found this surprising since there was a stop for the shuttle right in front of the hotel. This was a very noisy hotel. We were on the 4th floor. The walls were thin so you heard your neighbors and people in the hall. There was a loud argument going on right next door at about 2am. We also heard the traffic going by on the street below and people down in the parking lot. The best thing about this room was the bed. We had a king size bed and there were 6 pillows on it. The sheets were very plush and the mattress extremely comfortable. It made it hard to get up early and start your day.

Marriott beds are always comfortable. Room had a bit of a mold smell to it, I think we changed rooms twice because of that. Located at the end of the Riverwalk area so everything you walk to is a little further than other hotels. The lobby and stairs etc. all needed to be vacuumed.

This hotel is a bit pricey and therefore I thought that it would have been a litlle nicer. the actual rooms really are nice, but they really need to take better care of the property, It could be a lot nicer. it really is a nice place but they really need to take better care of butilding and rooms.

One of the most hospitable hotel staffs we have experienced anywhere, they set the bar for being friendly and helpful im making reservations for dinner, trolly tours, etc. Ask for a river view room with a balcony. Outdoor pool needs to be demolished and a new one built overlooking the river, this would be a tremendous upgrade.

I was disappointed with the condition of the room - needed updating. The door hardware was worn. Even though we were in a non-smoking room it smelled smokey on our floor. No minibar. And we were really disappointed that the outdoor pool was not open - many of the surrounding hotels had open outdoor pools. And its not the best location - 10 min walk to get to town. Much better locations to be had. The service was good though.

Its location: It was on the River. Great views and ambiance. There was no refrigerator and the ICS machine was far away and didn't work well. Overall, the experience of this hotel was exceptional.

Cleanliness. $18.00 per night parking fee and the location was at the very edge of the district. The hotel was nice, the rooms were clean, but there was an $18.00 per night parking fee and it was at the very edge of the district.

Location. Extremely dirty. Hair, dirt. scum, mold. This was the dirtiest Marriott I have ever seen. The yellow grime built up around the toilet was disgusting. The maid just rinsed our glasses and did not clean them. And the amount of hair and mold in the bathroom made you nauseous. I will not stay in a Marriott again.
