We arrived in the morning & our room wasn't ready but they weren't very nice about it, they said it should be ready by 4pm the latest!! When we were checking in they said that bec we booked w Travel agency they will charge us an additional $50-$75 a night if we wanted a beach view. They also said bec they are almost 100% full they want to make more money so they are charging so basically if they weren't at 100% full they would have been nice & given an upgrade (customer service.) That was all a lie bec I know people who stayed there 2 weeks prior who booked directly thru the Marriot & they tried to pull the same stunt w/charging more for a room.The pool was really small and packed stay on the beach. Checking out was a nightmare again never before have I stayed in any hotel were they want to charge you $75 to check out late.We had a late flight and they made us get out of our room by 1:30pm or they would charge us and put our bags in storage bec we weren't flying out until 4pm. It was a nice getaway its a shame that such a big hotel has to try and charge you for every little thing it made us want to spend our $ somewhere else. Also, watch your bill they added a bunch of stuff on our bill that wasn't ours.

Cleanliness, facilities, friendliness, great location. Did not have entertainment every night. Excellent hotel choice for the Condado area of Puerto Rico. Staff was warm and inviting as was the environment. Great salsa band on the weekends and the breakfast/coffee bar in the lobby was convenient and tasty. I would definitely go back!

Location, everything really. Nothing. Excellent location, we had a "city view" turned out to be a pool view which was okay with us. It met and exceeded all expectations and we are very picky about where we stay. Would stay here again!

Just returned from a trip at the Marriott San Juan Resort and Stellaris Casino, i stayed there for four days three nights April 17th-April 20th and me and my girlfriends loved it. The hotel was everything we expected, it's located in a great location and the staff was very friendly. The pool and beach are very beautiful.

Room amenities and bed ensemble fantastic. Step down full width balcony awesome. In a corner room the TV is parallel to the bed; you have to twist your head to the side to watch TV. Staff from front desk to bell hops to casino staff were just plan wonderful! They did everything within their power to make me feel I was the most important guest in the hotel. Rooms with views of the city were fine, but the rooms with ocean views were breathtaking.

The staff was ridiculously nice. I really can't say one thing. This hotel was great! The staff was so friendly, the gym was great, the room was super clean, nice (great pillows) and comfortable and you just can't beat falling asleep to the ocean! The pool was great, the swim up bar was great, the chairs were nice- my only complaint is that I had to leave at the end of the week!

Great location to the beach and beautiful pool. Location of room but was able to upgrade for small money. This resort was perfect for what we wanted while in San Juan. The people were friendly and very helpful about area restaurants. Would stay there again in a second.

This hotel is located on Ashford Street which is right in the heart of Condado Beach. It is a quick walk to many restaurants and shops. It is also a brief taxi ride in either direction to get to Old San Juan and Isla Verde so we found this spot to be ideal for traveling to nightlife in either of those areas. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The beach is gorgeous but the pool was a bit small for a resort this size.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was ideal. It is located at the best spot along the Condado beach, and near a beautiful park. The hotel and facilities are exactly as they appear on the travelocity site - so no unpleasant surprises. As for the room itself, we upgraded to an ocean view room for $50 extra per night. It was definitely worth it. The best part of the trip was to wake up and to go to sleep listening to the ocean. The only low point of the trip was when we first arrived as our room was not ready yet. However, they did give us a credit toward our bill which made the wait worth while. As for the dining experience, the best bet is to get some information from the hotel and the locals and find different types of restaurants outside of the hotel in order to get a real sense of the local cuisine.

everything you need in a vacation. We didn't bring the kids but the marriot was very kid friendly. 2 awesome pool's one with water slide and a bar in the pool -excellent. walk out of the pool area and your on the beach with complementary towels from the motel and only 15ft walk to the ocean. the motel provided beach lounge chairs and umbrella with some one to set them up. the thing i would do different is go all inclusive.

Liked the beach location and the pool. An extra $12 to use an umbrella on the beach. The location was good with a variety of restaurants nearby and a Walgreen's within 1/2 block. The check in staff were great! A computer was available to print boarding passes. Would stay there again!

This hotel had everything I needed, a really comfortable King size bed, a huge room, a beautiful view of the green mountains and right in the heart of downtown Condado. They have one of the best casinos in the area and had live entertainment on a Monday night! The people here are very friendly and it's just a clean, fun atmosphere. My next visit to Puerto Rico will include another stay at this Marriott, I loved it!

We stayed at the SJ Marriott for 3 nights this past week and the hotel was beautiful. Everthing was very clean, the room was nice, we had seating on our balcony facing the ocean, the hotel is literally right by the ocean, and the hotel provided the beach lounges and towels which was perfect and they also served drinks at the beach. The staff was friendly and I can honestly say that their concierges were super nice. The hotel lobby does turn into some kind of bar/club after 9 pm, but that's okay...there are plenty of places to relax other than the lobby. Everything was within walking distance as well, so if you want to venture outside for dinner and drinks (which are very expensive at the hotel) there are many options for all kinds of tastes. I can sincerely say that this was a very good experience and I travel a lot, so I am pretty picky when it comes to certain things. The only drawbacks for the Marriott are that the parking is very expensive ($16/day or $20/day for valet) and that the pools are really not intended for swimming. While they are beautiful to look at, one of them is only 1.5 ft deep and the other pool is only 3 ft deep. This is great if you have little kids, but but not adults who want to swim without running into people. The waves in the ocean are rough and do not really allow for swimming, so the pool is the only option. But, they do offer fun activities in the pool such as volley ball which is nice and they also have a bar at the pool, so you can sit in the water and sip your mojito.

Very nice hotel - Marriott quality. Parking is not free at hotel, no need to rent a car. There are lots of things within walking distance. Taxis are readily available and it is easy to plan day trips from the hotel. The rental car was a waste of money, only used it to drive to and from the airport. Starbucks is right across the street. I will definitely stay again. The restaurants in the hotel are expensive and the food was no big deal.

THE MARRIOTT RESORT & STELLARIS CASINO WAS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR MY SON'S 21ST B-DAY. THE ENTIRE STAFF IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. LOCAL RESTAURANTS ARE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE AND THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING GOING ON. WE'LL BE BACK SOON!!!!

The hotel is really nice. The location is great too. However, the hotel lobby is very noisy. You can hardly hear the staff who check you in. The hot tub is not open 24 hours. The beach is not private. However, the rooms were really great. Very clean and comfortable. Overall, had a great time and would go back there again.

Very attractive hotel, extremely pleasant & accommodating staff. Was offered upgrade to an ocean view for an additional $50 per night & I felt that I received an unattractive view (rooftop because I declined. Lovely hotel, very accommodating staff. Restaurants not for budget minded (breakfast buffet $18 per person and dinner $30 or more).

The hotel staff was very accomodating and friendly.Great location. The air conditioning was on very high in all the public spaces . I went to this hotel last year and I was very happy to be there again this year. Room was very clean and comfortable. Beautiful resort with great pool for adults and kids and the hotel is located on the beach. Hotel gives guests free chairs and umbrellas at the beach. Restaurants are reasonable and very good quality. Lots of action at this hotel between the casino and the bar and the live music in the lobby with dancing. Other good restaurants are within walking distance.Also,there is a spa at the hotel and a gym with lockers and showers for changing if you have a later flight, so you can enjoy your day at the beach.

It was beautiful, clean and a really nice location. The staff that I had to deal with was very curious and helpful. We had a great experience. Can't think of a thing. This resort has something for everyone. A beautiful beach, great pool, hot tubs, wonderful restaurants, a casino, live entertainment. The pools are great for kids. The architecture in this hotel is beautiful really inside and out. The staff was very kind and helpful, were able to answer my questions and if they couldn't they would find out or direct me to someone who could. The food was very good as was the service. I really like the location, you could go out and walk around, there were allot of really good restaurants right on the street. There was a park and lots of shops. I highly recommend this resort!

The hotel was very nice and clean, staff was wonderful, very polite, curtious and helpful, live Salsa band and dancing on the weekend which was great. I did not eat at the hotel restaurants but some wonderful places close by within walking distance. My only caution would be with the surronding area to the hotel, some areas were not so nice.

The Marriott resort in San Juan was a beautiful hotel. We had a balcony overlooking the ocean. The restaurant prices were too high for our budget, for example, $18.95 for the breakfast buffet. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott stellar is resort and casino. It is located right on the ocean, with wonderful swimming and two beautiful pools. The rooms are large with comfy, luxurious bedding and balconies overlooking the grounds or ocean. It was the perfect way to kick off our cruise. There are many excellent restaurants nearby.

Great food at their buffet restaurant. Room was cramped and there was no smoking anywhere, not even in the casino! Don't go here if you are on your honeymoon or looking for something romantic for an overnight stay after your honeymoon. If you want a non-smoking, kid-friendly place, this is the right hotel for you. It does not qualify as a resort!

The beach was great and the staff was very helpful. There were small ants and spiders in the room, even though we were on the 8th floor. Excellent experience, the location is great and the facilities are great. Restaurants in the area were hit and miss, even the list, the hotel gives of recommended restaurants, were not all up to expectations.

The staff was fantastic-the place was clean-I would highly recommend it. Nothing. The staff went truly out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The rooms were clean and roomy. It was a family friendly place if you are considering that option. It had activities at the pool for the kids, and during the evening in the bar area for adults with music or karaoke. I can't say enough. We even ventured into Old San Juan via their public bus system which is right down the street. Enjoy.
