Splendid HotelThe hotel was stylish and luxurious. The bed was the most comfortable I had ever slept in.More information about the timing of Spa opening and other facilities in the room would have been helpful. Unfortunately I was unable to take advantage of the spa facilities included in my room price, but I hope yo stay here again when I return to Madrid.

Luxury kitchLuxury hotel but the decor and light in the corridors made it look a bit like a lap-dancing club. Some may describe it as kitch. Very comfortable though.

Not 5 StarThe hotel is in a great location for exploring Madrid and whilst the room was good there were other things that were not ok for a hotel of this standard. The noise from other rooms and the corridors was surprising - you could hear the ping of the lift bell from 20 yards away in your bedroom with all the doors closed! The other disappointment was the additional charge for the pool / spa area - not the treatments, just to use the pool. At 15 Euros each this was a rip off and it was not advertised as an extra on the website. I would probably chose a different hotel next time I return to Madrid because the Melia just didn't quite get it right & there is probably nothing they will be able to do about the noise.

Cool Madrid HotelI really liked the style of the hotel , particularly the eclectic contemporary classic design of the lobby - and it is well located - walking distance to the centre. The reception staff were super professional and obliging. Not so sure about the strange bar across the road that we were recommended for a night cap t 1am as the hotel bar was closed. We were the only guests and at 8 euros a drink - it was a bit steep.The rooms are comfortable and make great use of the space. My only problem was not being able to work the shower - had to use the bath instead!
