The best part of this hotel is location. It's close to everything you would want to do in NYC. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We were surprised at how small the room was, but we adapted. Overall, it was a great experience.

Excellent location. Small bathroom. Great for what we wanted. Walking distance to metros and anything we wanted to do. Very nice hotel for the N.Y.

I expected much more. It was like a moderate motel. Uncomfortable bed, outdated comforter, dirty outdated drapes and furniture that was banged and marked up. I actually lifted up a portion of the wallpaper in the bathroom that was pealing off and found a corroded and moldy wall. Our hallway smelt musty. No room service or resturant in hotel.

Excellent location! They went out of their way to help as it was very busy. Right near Metro and good food! We will go there again!

Great location for the main attractions in the Time Square area and the popular theater events. The staff was friendly and as helpful as possible. The facility had some issues: 1. not elavator for guest with luggage 2. had only an up escalator that often time was inoperative during the time I stayed there 3. did not offer a restaurant service which was needed for the guest staying in the hotel 4. no coffee machines in the rooms because of the small rooms. 5. no room to place toiletries in the bathroom. 6. shower head not adjustable, water not a strong stream

Helpful, friendly staff making the best of a worn, tired, poor hotel. NYC record holder for slowest elevators, smallest rooms and tiny toilets. The Milford is an old and tired hotel that must have been majestic in its prime, but is now being used to squeeze out profits from owners who don't care about reinvesting in its infrastructure. The elevators are incredibly slow (but in the process of being upgraded) and the very small rooms are about the size of a high-end hotel's bathroom. The faded paint and worn rugs are from a previous generation and the air is stuffy and slightly damp with the faint scent of sweat. The toilet in the bathroom is surprisingly small such that any full size adult will have a difficult time on the pot. On the plus side, it's right beside the Times Square and the theatres. For a few extra bucks, you can get much better.

It was in a convenient location in Times Square. The room was a lot smaller and the bathrooms were not clean. This hotel is a good location because it is one block away from the heart of Times Square. The hotel workers were not very friendly; one even asked me for a monetary tip just for putting my luggage in storage. The only thing I liked was the location of the hotel, other than that; I would have gladly chosen to go somewhere else.

The hotel served it's purpose. Great location. Clean and safe. I would have liked to have full dining available. The location was great. The room was small but I am sure every room in New York is. There just isn't a whole lot of space in the city. My husband, son and I felt comfortable and safe. We would stay there again.

The Milford (a room with two double beds) was very comfortable and although the bathroom was small it was clean and had great towels. Our only complaint with with the room was that the window was very drafty and the heater sounded like a truck when it kicked on. We appreciated the security at the elevators. We would go back but not at the Christmas season as all the hotels are super expensive.

Great location if you can get a good rate. Hotel is older style and some rooms are very small but made up for by location less tha 2 mins walk from Times Square. If you can get for $2-$300 worth the money, any more and you may as well stay at the more modern alternatives.

The location is the primary reason we went and the accessibility to the subways. The staff and their suspicious behavior. At the time that I checked-in they looked at my reservation and said that my room was not paid for. The front desk person walked over to his manager with my cc for a 10 min mtg. and they said that they could not verify that I had paid for my room. At that moment, I became very upset and stated that they needed to figure it out, because I was not paying again. After about 15 minutes, they were able to confirm that I had paid for the room. At that time they offered me a room with either two twin beds or a very small (bordering on full bed) for myself and my 6'2 business partner. The bathroom was very dingy with old fixtures and the room itself was the worst that we have stayed in using your company. We have been very satisfied with the other hotels that we have stayed in Boston, San Francisco, Orlando, etc.

Staff was very helpful & friendly. Congestion at elevators. A very good place to stay while in new York. Location is excellent; rooms are smallish but tidy and very clean. Staff very helpful to tourists who do not know their way around the city. Excellent help in acquiring tickets to shows. Bus boys and cleaning staff among the best I¿ve encountered.

This place was not good. They put is in a tiny corner room that I could barely move in. The lobby is nice but I wished the room was cleaner

Since we weren't LIVING in the hotel room the size of it didn't matter at all. It was clean, had hot & cold running water, a toilet that worked well, beds that were solid & clean. We spent five days in NYC but didn't spend many hours IN our room. If location matters to you in the heart of it all, then this older & certainly smaller hotel is for you. We enjoyed our stay...would do it again.

The good thing about this hotel is the location. It is right in the heart of the Theater district. The hotel was rundown and the customer service was not acceptable. The employees were unfriendly, and the processes were inefficient. It took me 45 minutes in a line to check my bags on the day I was leaving, to leave them in the hotel for a few hours. There was no elevator to go up to the lobby (2nd floor) from the entry floor. I was traveling alone, and had to carry my 2 bags on an escalator going up, which proved to be a challenge, both getting on and off of the escalator. It is not easy to balance luggage on escalator stairs, when there is more than one bag. I almost fell getting off of the escalator with my bags. I attempted to find a porter, or someone to help me, but that was not possible, unless I wanted to wait for 30 minutes to get them up to the lobby to check in. I could not leave them downstairs with someone, because I was traveling alone. Several staff saw me trip as I was getting of the escalator, and still did not offer to help. I cannot say that I had any 'good' customer service while I was staying there.

A friend and I decided at the last minute to spend New Years at Times Square. We lucked into a room close to everything! The room was incredibly small (had to move the luggage to get into the bathroom each time) but the location was perfect.

The security at the hotel was great, and how they organized the flow of guest at the lobby was impressive. The bathroom sink did have the hot and cold water knobs in the wrong place the hot knob was cold. The phone greeting service was poor. The Milford was nice, and the staff at the front desk was very polite, and helpful. Our room did have an amazing view. The way they set-up the elevator area to organize the guest flow was amazing. I also felt very safe, because security was present at the halls etc. I really enjoyed myself for mother's day weekend. Thanks!

Hotel room was very clean. Fluctuating water temp in shower, hotel service very poor. Perfect location, safe and clean. Service is very slow, was locked out of my room due to "loose door locks" and it took them 20 minutes to check the lock and let me into my room. Water temp in shower goes hot to cold and if you are showering at the same time as other the shower pressure will stop for about 30 seconds and then come back, this will continue during your shower.

Room was nicer than expected for the price. Shower did not work and staff not helpful after they broke the toilet. The hotel was convenient in location and nice for the price. It served its purpose. The staff was not helpful after breaking our toilet and our shower did not work well. It was clean and in a good area. I would not recommend it to people who are looking to spend lots of time in the hotel.

Staff was great and very secure for the location. Work being done on hotel and heater/air was very noisy. In general the hotel was fine. The lobby is very nice. They are in process of changing out windows which is good since they were probably the original ones. The heating and air was very noisy so we had to turn the fan off. other then little things it was a nice place to stay especially for the price!
