General Description

Millbrook is a newly refurbished former Victorian farmhouse situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. All rooms, the conservatory breakfast room and the extensive gardens have stunning views over the beautiful Limpley Stoke valley, and all benefit from having en suite or private facilities, free WiFi internet access, TV with DVD, fair trade tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, etc. Please note that we operate a two night minimum stay policy at weekends. This is a fabulous area for walking and just a few hundred metres from the Kennet and Avon canal towpath yet is just 3 miles from the city of Bath. There is a large private parking area and secure storage for bicycles. Millbrook is a non smoking house. You can be assured of a very warm welcome with the offer of refreshments on arrival, and a delicious full breakfast with local free range eggs and home made bread amongst other goodies! Good food is served at the friendly pubs nearby.

Excellent, friendly and with good food too.Myself and two grandchildren aged 7 & 12 stayed two nights at Millbrook in the family room.We were greeted by lindsey with freshly baked scones and a much needed pot of tea (6 hours driving from where we live.) The Hotel is situated on a main road on a bend, but I had no problem at all driving out of the hotels car park, onto the road. The House is set back and we did'nt hear any traffic noise at all. The veiws from our room were breath taking. Our room had a multitude of videos and in the lounge lots of board games for children or indeed adults to play. Lindsey is a very warm and friendley person, I was quite taken aback by how my young grandson chatted with her. As usually he is quite shy on meeting. After our day out at a Safari Park (just 20 mins away) he could'nt wait to get back to Millbrook and chat with Lindsey about all he'd seen and done. The breakfast is served freshly cooked in the conservatory at a time to suit you, and was beautiful. Our whole stay EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! and EXCELLENT!!!!!! I would recommend Millbrook to anyone.

All ok. Local area facilities are a bit tricky to make use of if staying on a Sunday night as food places seem to shut early. But hotel was fine in every way.

The hotel is remote from restaurants for evening meals. we where not told that the hotel did not accept credit cards for payment and had t oog and get cash to pay them. The towels where not changed during our stay and consequently where damp the next day. the Heating was turned off during the night and the rooms where very cold.
