General Description

The Mirage, the hotel that introduced the concept of destination resort to the Las Vegas Strip, recently underwent a stunning transformation to maintain its preeminent position in what has become an increasingly competitive market. While introducing contemporary amenities designed to recapture the resort's leading-edge position, The Mirage maintains the exceptional service standards and sophisticated atmosphere that have distinguished it as a AAA Four Diamond Luxury Resort and Casino. Once inside, a sun-lit atrium welcomes you with palm trees towering above waterfalls and pools. Already one of the most elaborate and technically advanced in the world, The Mirage aquarium recently underwent a transformation. New, brighter artificial corals evoke the exotic beauty of such tropical locales as Australia's Great Barrier Reef, while the addition of hundreds of new sea creatures provides a rare glimpse into the aquatic wonders of our planet. The Mirage's 3,044 guest rooms and suites have undergone a $110 million dollar renovation. The new rooms will feature simple lines with an ergonomic design detailed to give a high-end feel, while warm woods and a bold color scheme transport the rooms into the realm of chic. Ultra-modern upgrades and amenities including LCD TVs and iHome MP3 docks provide everything necessary for a truly lavish experience to cater to both the leisure and business traveler (Mirage Events Center offers over 171,000-square-feet of convention space). The Spa and celebrity stylist Kim Vo Salon, offers the latest in hair trends and treatments as well as manicures, pedicures, hair extensions and personalized makeup services. A barbershop provides men's grooming products along with traditional services. Enjoy a therapeutic massage or indulge yourself to one of our natural, soothing body and facial treatments in the new Spa at The Mirage. The Mirage's lush tropical pool area includes two pools, three spas surrounded by waterfalls, private cabanas, and an outdoor cafe. Bare at The Mirage offers an exclusive adult alternative to the typical Las Vegas pool experience. With its distinctive contemporary ambiance and ultra VIP service, Bare is ideal for those wanting to relax, kick-back and socialize or turn up the music and heat up the day. If lounging by the pool leaves you famished, try the wide variety of Fine Dining. From steak and seafood at kokomo's to Italian-American fare at Onda Ristorante, or modern contemporary Japanese cuisine at Japonais. Or, for a more casual setting stop by the Carnegie Deli (the only outpost outside of NYC), Cravings buffet, BLT Burger or the California Pizza Kitchen. For entertainment, Cirque du Soleil's latest creation, LOVE, showcases the music of The Beatles in a custom-built, multi-million dollar theater. Winner of America's Got Talent, Terry Fator is the resort's resident impressionist/ventriloquist/singer/comedian. In addition, myriad lounges offer lively libations and live entertainment, and, of course, the tropical-themed casino has a wide variety of slots, video poker, and table games and a race and sports book. *** Guests must be 21 or older to check in. A resort fee of $15 plus tax per room per day will be assessed at the front desk. Resort fee includes in-room Internet access; daily newspaper; daily access to Cardio Room (not including The Spa or fitness center); two robes provided for guest use during their stay; complimentary printing of boarding passes, complimentary notary services, unlimited local and toll-free calls, and free copies and faxes up to 5 pages. Please note that the resort fee will increase from $15 to $20 for all new reservations booked as of Dec 13 for stay dates January 3, 2011, on.

From the reception area on, the hotel has a very relaxing Oriental and tropical decor and atmosphere. However, there was only one doorman to open the front doors of the hotel, which open only one way (out) so with a briefcase and suitcase you have to struggle a little to get in. Before I entered the second set of front doors to the lobby, The doorman asked me if I needed help and I thought he meant if I needed help with my luggage so I said No thank you and he quickly left me to fend with the next set of doors by myself. I think that the doorman should not ask the guest if he needs help to open those doors and should do so quietly without asking and then after one is inside then he should either point to the reception or ask if the guest needs help with the luggage or help to find the reception area. Unfortunately, the reception area was clogged and moved very slow and when you come in from an overcrowed airport like the one in Vegas, you basically just want to get to your room quickly. Once this was done I went through the casino, which looks the same as most all casinos and I got the hotel area which was great, tropical furniture decorations and soft colors made the ambience very relaxing. Whenever I requested some information from the employees they were all very helpful (recepcionist, front desk and restaurant. The only exception was when I was on my way out of the hotel to a business meeting I asked who appeared to be a security man holding a walkie talkie and asked him if I could just walk over to the Fashion Mall, where I had to meet someone, and the guy was very smug and flat out told me that I could not and that I had to take a tram. I kew better so I asked one Pilippino lady who was working outside if I could walk to my destination and she cheerfully gave directions, which I follwed to my meeting with a very pleasant 10 minute walk. My request for wake up call at 4:00am next day and speedy check out as well as courteous bell men and a taxi immediately avai

This hotel was in the PERFECT location for finding lots to do and not having to walk very far. It was so easy to get on the monorial to get to the far ends of the strip and not a far walk to check out the other bars at the Bellagio, Caesars, Bill's Gamblin' Hall, the Flamingo, and Treasure Island. There is so much happening in this area it was so easy to have a great time! This was my first trip to Las Vegas and I couldn't be happier with my stay at the Mirage and will certainly consider it again in a future trip!

The new rooms were great and the pool was wonderful although a little cold for May. The children enjoyed the dolphins and tigers. Fin (chinese) is a beautiful restaurant and the food was great 2pp with drinks and appetizers and 3 entrees $80.00. Location is great if you have a car use the valet in the back much faster getting and giving your car.

The newly decorated rooms at the Mirage are very nicely appointed and very comfortable. However, bathroom amenities are too few. There isn't even a shower cap. The worst aspect of the hotel is that one has to cross the casino to get to the guest room floors elevators, and the Mirage casino is the most crowded of all. Or maybe the crowds are the same, only the space is much smaller so you are bound to bang into others constantly while trying to reach your room. Also, any extra is exorbitantly expensive. I didn't take my computer along thinking I wouldn't need it. But then I needed Internet and had to pay $1 a minute for the connection at the hotel's computer corner. The location is very good -- walking distance from many shopping centers and other good hotels and casinos as well as to the monorail station. The two asian restaurants I tried were also quite good.

After touring the other accomodations on the strip we were convinced that we were in the BEST hotel in our price range. The rooms were amazing-modern, stylish, CLEAN and THE MOST AMAZING BED KNOWN TO MAN. In fact-their beds are so wonderful we are seriously considering purchasing one for our home! They also have silent doors-which means our sleep was NOT disturbed with our neighbors coming and going at all times day or night which meant a nice, deep sleep. Many of the casinos pump in a heavy scent (to cover the cigarrette stinch?) We noticed some lobby scents were overwhelming (honestly-like a truckshop restroom-eh gads) Surprisingly- the smell in the the Ventician lobby was the worst!. The Mirage had a better balance in the use of scent than most others we visited. The whole family enjoyed the Secret Garden which included seeing the baby dolphin born the day after we arrived. It was also amazing to stand within 3 feet of the beautiful white tigers with only a fence between us. Majestic and docile animals who are clearly well cared for by devoted staff (it shows). The Cravings buffet was reasonably priced with good quality and variety. The other resturants had gorgeous atmospheres but we did not have the opportunity to eat in these resturants. The security staff at the pool were attentive and responsive when a small group of "happy" men became at bit rambutious. They were swift and professional in successfully deescalating potentially disturbing activities. The pool is beautiful with soft, salt water as opposed to heavy chlorine.

When we arrived at the hotel, our room was still dirty from the guest who stay there before us. The room was filthy and smelled like throw up. They cleaned the room while we waited in the hall. Although the rooms are in need of improvement, the rest of the hotel is beautiful and clean.

The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is small and very outdated. I would like a bigger bathtub and shower. Also, I would like a double sink. It would be nice if the toilet was separate from the shower and/or the sink so that 2 people could use the bathroom at the same time.

My handicapped room was ready but the other people I was traveling with their rooms, were not done so these friends had to shower in my room. Their rooms were not ready until 4 in the evening or later. Their excuse is that we don't clean rooms until the other people with reservations come in...WHAT! They knew we were there we kept asking for when the rooms were to be ready. We eventually got a $200 food credit at one of the restaurants. My room was clean except for the bathroom the fold down seat for sitting had hair on it. The hand held shower extension fell apart and when the top fell off and I looked on the inside it was so filthy I almost threw up. Glad I never used it. The toilet was slow to flush also but don't know if it was saving on water or because it was going to plug up eventually. Cleaning people very, very, very, very slow. Other then that the room was alright. Would I stay there again, No.

This hotel was perfectly located on the Vegas strip! It was almost directly in the middle and if we chose to take a cab it was about a $5.00 tab! The staff was very friendly and helpful in surprising my husband with me! We aren't spa people but we decided to go and enjoy some time there and we were very happy we did! The prices were great at both the spa and hotel and the fact that both my husband and I won there at the tables made the stay even better! We would definetly recomend this hotel!!!

I have stayed at the Mirage many times and continue to believe it is one of the best deals in Las Vegas. The location is excellent. The pool is great. The employees are down to earth and approachable. The casino has everything you could want: craps, an above average poker room and slots. They took out the keno which I think is a minus but not a dealbreaker for me. It continues to be on my short list of places to go.

I thought the hotel and the amenities were great. The pool environment and service was by far the best I have seen and encountered. The hotel is in the best location on The Strip. The Tram is an excelant idea. I wish all hotels would provided a convienience. The front check in desk area was unorginized and unstructured. Guest that were checking in would just walk up and cut people off. However, overall security was good.

I enjoyed the stay at the Mirage hotel. However, checking in took nearly 45 minutes due to a large crowd of people, check in was supposed to be at 3:00. The room was not ready until 4:00. Then, the next day, I left a note for the room to be serviced, I returned around 2:30 to find that the bed had not been made. Otherwise, the hotel was wonderful.

The Mirage Hotel and Casino, LAS VEGAS, NV what we liked the most is that the casino area is apart from the hotel area as well, as you can do whatever you want, if you want to play in the casino you feel that you are not in the hotel, but if you want to enjoy the activities of the hotel you can do so with out passing through the casino. Has a location that no one can beat, all of the shows and attractions of Las Vegas are walking distance from it. The public transportation, like buses, are almost on time in the schedule.

Took a short (3 night) trip to Las Vegas; both of us were first-timers. Being from Michigan, the temperature definitely took some getting used to. Even though The Mirage is prime location right in the middle of the Strip, you'll still walk ALOT! All the hotels are big and the floorplans aren't great since the casino is the center of everything. Our room was very nice and stylish and the air-conditioning worked well. The bed was ultra-comfortable. Only problem was a strange smell, kind of like sawdust... but got used to it really fast. We ate at Onda Italian, Ramba Brazilian Steakhouse, and BLT Burger, all of which were very good and had no wait. We also visited the Private Garden and Dolphin Preserve by the pools. This was very cool, we went around 1pm and saw the trainers exercise the adult dolphins, the baby dolphin, and the baby cheetah cub. We LOVED KA by Cirque du Soleil at the Venetian, my fiance was skeptical but he really enjoyed it.

You will not be disappointed with the Mirage. Check in is easy, parking is safe, all rooms are newly remodeled and tastefully decorated with super comfy beds, down pillows and duvet, lots of cable channels on tv, spacious bathroom with makeup mirror, yummy smelling toiletries, minibar, and a decent iron and ironing board. They say that you should'nt stay in your room in Vegas, but believe me your trip will be so much nicer here than at a place a few dollars cheaper. The pool is fabulous-either get there early to get a chair or come back after 3 when the raisins are done roasting in the sun and more chairs open up. Don't miss the Secret gaden, especially if they have baby cubs. There are some nice bars/clubs here- Jet, the Beatles Revolution lounge (which usually either has dj's or live bands) the Rhumbar is new, and i have not been to Bare (the topless pool) since I have enough fun at the regular pool (with my top on!) There are many dining options, a gorgeous spa and salon, and a "mini-mall" with inexpensive to designer clothing and shoes. The Mirage is in a great central strip location, and everything is easy to get to. I have been to vegas over 15 times and the Mirage is just the nicest hotel for the money.

Been to vegas 12 times and have to admit this hotel is one of my favorites. First time there and I feel we made a very good choice. Room was nice, not great but very clean and upscale. Got a free upgrade to a strip view with just one phone call. Nice restaurants with about the same cost as the other hotels. High as expected. lol Hard to find the cheap deals of 20 years past. How time changes things. Was pleased with the casino and the dealers I had were wonderful. Very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Stayed 4 days in August and will try to go back in April. Looking for cooler weather outside.

Service at this hotel is amazing. From the moment we checked in we were treated excellent. Everyone of the staff went out of there way to answer our questions and make us feel welcome. The front desk check in was fast and the guest check out on the TV was great. Cleaning staff was also very professional and helpful. A good variety of restaurants and the buffet is amazing. We enjoyed our stay at the Mirage! The beds were very comfortable, clean rooms and friendly staff. They will also let you "check-in" for your flight out on the internet for free. They have a very nice pool with lots of chairs, the only problem is people getting up early and putting towels on the chairs to reserve them. I feel a staff member of Mirage should monitor this. The only other thing is nothing complimentary! Not even a discount on the shows at the hotel or the restruants. There is a McDonalds and Denny's right across the street.

The flowers and gardens are absolutely beautiful! The Secret Garden is a wonderful attraction at a great price. The pool area is very clean and inviting. We will definitely be back to stay at The Mirage!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was quite comfortable, although the bathroom could have been larger. Excellent restaurants, especially the breakfasts.

This hotel staff were some of the most friendliest people I have ever met. Even though we sleep in every morning, our rooms were always cleaned by the time we were back in the evening. The hotel's options for food were amazing, and the nightclubs and bars were super fun! This hotel is in walking distance of some great attractions and shopping also. Needless to say, I would definitely stay here again!

The Mirage was beautiful, from top to bottom. The only down side for us was that wile we like nice places to dine, paying $20 for a club sandwich and the deli, plus an additional $3 because we shared it was ridiculous. It was bigger than we both could eat, which I guess at least for the price you did have plenty of food, but we wasted probably half the meat that was on it. I would rather have paid less, gotten less, and wasted less.

I did not get a room that I expected, had to change 3 times and still felt not given satisfaction to my needs. Will not go back and be treated like a second class citizen. check in took 6 hrs, then I still felt I wasn't satisfactory given what I paid for. I spent alot of money to go to vegas for 3 days, and was cut short on the process.

The hotel was very convinient and the service was great. Friendly staff and well maintained hotel. For a 4 star hotel, the bathroom as understated, but was very nice considering the age of the hotel.

Overall the hotel was very nice. The beds were slightly uncomfortable due to a stiff matress and noisy sheets. Staff were polite and accomodationg. Clubs were awesome and topless bathing is an option at BARE pool. At the Mirage, eat at Caribe for a healthy late breakfast or luinch and Carnegie for awesome deserts. The hotel charges $25.00 per day for use of the Fitness Center.

Great experience although the carpet room was not very clean when we arrived. But we contacted the cleaning staff and they did a great job. The hotel staff was wondeful and since it was our firts trip they accomodated us in a room facing the strip. It was an unforgetfull vacation !!

Because it was our first stay, and we've never been to Las Vegas before, it was a nice hotel for the money. We thought that several other hotels were alot more beautiful, and we had wished that we had stayed somewhere else. All of the restaurants including the buffet in the hotel were Way over priced. We didn't recieve any sort of incentives from the hotel. We live in a city where there are hotels/casinos and feel we recieve better service there. Overall the stay was nice, but if we were to go back we would do things alot more differently including the hotel.

The overall trip was very good. If going back I'd most likely stay at The Mirage again. The beds are fantastic; i had the best nights of sleep there. The clubs in The Mirage (Jet and Revolution)are definetly some of the best in Vegas! The location is GREAT... it's right next to all the cheap food places, and next to a lot of other great spots (Ceasure's Palace, Paris, Etc.) The only downfall is that if you don't have a lot of money to spend, it's probably not the place for you. We tried to use drink coupons that were left in our room, and whenever we tried we did not get served at the bars; the bartenders never came to wait on us only when we had drink coupons. If you ask how much something is, people look down on you.

This is only my second time in Vegas. I liked the location of the Mirage, but thought the hotel could use some work. The beds were GREAT!! The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner. The bathtub had a rust spot in it and the corners of the bathroom were not very clean. Also, they are very small. We did eat at 2 of the restaurants and they were outstanding! I would stay there again.

The newly remodeled rooms were very modern, yet welcoming and cozy. We couldn't have been happier with the room service and will definitely choose to stay at the Mirage on our next visit.

We loved our stay at the Mirage. From the first moment we entered the beautiful grounds, to the fabulous gardens inside, and the pool area~It was all gorgeous and spotless. The service from everyone was the best. Our only tiny, tiny problem was that we never had enough towels! But when we called to get more, they were at our door in minutes. The morning buffet is the best, evening just average. Ate at a lot of their restaurants and loved them. And don't miss Love, Cirque de Soleil!! The Mirage was everything they say they are.

The Mirage is a great hotel. We have stayed there in the past and love the convenience of being in the center of the strip. We like the fact that it's casino is easy to find each other. They also have a great swimming pool. All of the staff at the Mirage could not be nicer.

Stayed at the Mirage 3 days Thanksgiving weekend 2008. No Electricity as another reviewer wrote... couldn't get our luggage to our room from the concierge for almost 3 hours, due to only 1 of 6 elevators running.... No coffee maker in room... bummed me out.... best thing about stay was Cirque du soleil "LOVE" show

we were successful in our gambling adventures at the Mirage. Found the dealers to be friendly and professional. We visited the Hard Rock hotel to see Santana. If you can get tickets do not miss that show!

We had a great time at the hotel overall. We did have some issues when we tried to upgrade to another room. We got put in a smoking room then got put on the wrong side of the hotel then had to move to another room the next morning. We wasted a lot time dealing with these issues. Otherwise the hotel was great ! Pool was awesome except for the European pool no one took thier tops off.
