The Mont Cervin is a traditional five-star deluxe Alpine hotel. The hotel was opened in 1851 and taken over by Alexander Seiler in 1855. Over the years the property has been completely renovated. In 1994 the residence, connected to the hotel by a underground passage, was opened with 15 state-of-the-art deluxe suites. Situated in the heart of Zermatt, the hotel boasts an attractive south-facing fa oade and a roof with numerous small towers that was built in the summer of 2004. At the same time, spacious new suites and tastefully appointed rooms were installed on the sixth floor. The hotel, including the R 'sidence, now has a total of 133 rooms and suites, most with a balcony and many with unrestricted views of the Matterhorn.
