Upgraded to a Leger room,it was a great purchase. Alittle dated, old furnishings, rugs, tiles. Perfect for a budget minded traveler who Deon not want to stay in a run down roach motel, large enough and clean enough.

My grandsons and I were extremely happy with the service. We were upgraded to an executive suite which was wonderful for them as it was their first time in Manhattan. Staff washelpful and very knowledgeable about the area.

Spacious clean rooms. Excellent hotel. Large suites. Very comfortable. Only thing missing, wireless internet in the rooms. (Only have it in lobby where everyone who wants to use it must go - the small lobby was quite crowded the night I was there).

The location, size of the room, friendliness and clean. The noise level of the traffic was very loud. Great location, clean and friendly staff and large room. The only thing is the noise level of the traffic. But great value in NYC!

Spacious room by NY standards; easy to get taxis. Not the most central location for getting to midtown or the West Side quickly--whether on foot or by bus/subway. I've enjoyed staying here many times. The room is clean and spacious by NY standards. I've never experienced much of a wait when checking in or out, or checking luggage. On a lovely quiet East Side street, near endless restaurants, convenience stores, etc.

Clean, safe, quiet, spacious rooms, full kitchen. Old TV. Great experience staying at the hotel. It would be the ideal hotel for a family trip to NYC with the full kitchen, etc.

The rooms were large. This hotel is located away from everything and it is too far to walk to most attractions. I would not want to stay at this hotel again, it is to far away for comfortable walking distance and in NW York, and it cost a lot to take a cab or limo to all of the shows. I would not recommend this hotel to tourist in New York.

I like Murry Hill East hotel mainly for the location. It is close to all the major attractions. The staff in friendly and the rooms are clean.

Location, as to train station in and out of new York. Front desk staff somewhat cold and impersonal. For one night in new York, very functional.

Room design. Very small elevators. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff at the desk is helpful and friendly. Good neighborhood with grocery store and lots of places to get a bite to eat.

Very good location very big rooms with kitchen. It looks a little old but renovation is on. Good location convenient for transportation coffee machine plus full kitchen a must for families (2 large beds) I recommend it absolutely.

For the price, this hotel was great. It's location was safe and w/in reasonable walking distance to other desired areas. Clean room & friendly staff. If the hotel had some type of breakfast available, it would have been great. Also, our room was near housekeeping and was a bit loud in the morning. Loved it for the money! I would definitely stay there again.

Bed extremely comfortable. Generally roomy apt. Good price for parking. Sofa bed uncomfortable, no sheets, quilt in room . Needed to go down to the lobby to get them and make up the sofa bed ourselves. Smelled of smoke.

The room was beautifully decorated. No microwave in the kitchen. We were very pleased. A great hotel for both location and room quality.

Location was great. Hallways smelled bad. Fine 2 star in a great location. Large room, which is considerably different from most NYC hotel rooms.

Great location...near Grand Central Station, Empire State Building, United Nations. Lots and lots of deli's and restaurant around the area. The room was like a one bedroom apartment (about 700 sq ft)with full kitchen....just love the adjoining terrace area. I would definitely come back here on my next trip to NYC.

I JUST LIKE TO SAY THIS WAS A VERY COMFORTABLE, AFFORDABLE HOTEL RIGHT IN THE HEART OF MANHATTAN VERY CONVIENCE TO EVERYTHING. WHEN PLANNING A TRIP TO THE BIG APPLE BE SURE TO DO A TRIP SEARCH. WE TOOK A TAXI ALMOST TO EVERYWHERE AND REALIZED EVERY PLACE ON OUR TRIP LIST WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. TIMES SQUARE APPROX 6 BLOCKS, FIFTH AVENUE 4 BLOCKS, EMPIRE STATES BULDING 4 BLOCKS, ROCKEFELLER 4 BLOCKS, CENTRAL PARK 6 BLOCKS. ALL SORTS OF FOOD PLACES AND CVS IS 2 BLOCKS ONE BIG CIRCLE. THE HOTEL EVEN OFFER TRANSPORTATION TO THE AIR PORT (VERY AFFORDABLE). THE CONCIERGE IS VERY FAMILIAR WITH EVERYTHING AND HELPFUL. ALL I HAVE PRAISES TO GIVE TO MURRAY HILL. I TRULY ENJOYED MY STAY AND WILL COME BACK AGAIN.

My 2 older sisters and I (we are college students) went there as our lil trip before school starts, and since we were looking for inexpensive hotel, we tried "Name your own price" at Priceline.com and we got this hotel only for 100 per night. At that time, since none of us have never been to NY, didn't know if we got a good deal or not, but as we arrived in this hotel, we just felt SO LUCKY!! because another hotel we stayed before staying at Murray was Edison hotel and it was Horrible although we paid 200 per night staying there! the room in Murray was SOOOOO much bigger, cleaner, cozier and even staff were sooo nice too and we felt very welcomed.
Murray was kinda in residential neighborhood, so there isn't lots of noise (which was one of the best), 10mins walking distance to subway station, and since it's in the middle of Manhattan, it's close to everywhere! Wall st, 5th Ave, Times Square..etc
so if I go back to NYC, i would definitely stay here!

This was our first trip to New York and I picked this hotel based on reviews, location, and that it offered a kitchenette. The hotel was in a somewhat residential neighborhood so there was not a lot of traffic noise in our room. There are grocery stores, drug stores, restruants and a Star Bucks within one block. Grand Central Station is about a 10 minute walk. I was not disappointed with this hotel.

I was surprised to find myself in a spacious apartment with a large living/dining area, bedroom and kitchen--all separate rooms. The location was very convenient--just a few blocks from Grand Central Station in a real neighborhood with grocery stores, drug stores, and delis. Internet access was not easily available, but I used Kinko's at the corner.

The suite was big enough for five to occupy comfortably. Nothing worth mentioning. The hotel is on a quiet block in Midtown, three blocks from Grand Central. We had a one bedroom suite that comfortably slept a family of five. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the price was excellent.

The room was so large and there was an attached kitchen and sitting area. Desk person said she had no internet access and couldn't help me check in for my departing flight. It is in a great location and the room truly was a suite with a nicely stocked kitchen and a separate sitting room. It was cozy, quiet and clean. It was very accessible to many things by foot and the doorman was very helpful in getting cabs when needed. I was very pleased with this hotel and the price was fantastic!

Best bargain in NYC! No internet service in the rooms. This was the best bargain in NYC! We had a decent kitchen, with refrigerator, and a separate sitting room with TV. We had a wonderful week in New York, and part of the reason, we were so happy, was the excellent room we had at Murray Hill, centrally located and comfy.

The location is excellent. Close to subway, lots of restaurants. I had a kitchen in my room and very clean! The heater takes long to get hot. Took about more than 30 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location, clean and charming room, safe location, close to subway. Highly recommended!

I had meetings in mid town Manhattan (on 5th Avenue and 42nd Street). I would not recommend this hotel if you would be asking associates to come by your hotel, but if you are like me and just needed a place to lie your head down for a night or two while attending meetings in mid town then this is a great spot; very conveniently located. One thing: there is no high speed wireless (or non-wireless) hook up in the room, you have to go to the lobby. A bit of a problem but not too bad.

Great location. Dated furniture. I had a suite, so the view was excellent. The bathroom appeared to be updated and worked well. The remaining furniture was slightly dated (think early 90's), but the room was clean and comfortable.
