No fire escape/no elevator; shower literally requires squeezing through the sliding door frame--if you are heavy there is no way.

The desk clerks have not been trained on Travel agency procedures. They informed us that the room would be charged to our credit card when we checked out. I explained about paying Travel agency and that the hotel should contact Travel agency for payment. I again had to explain when I checked out. There is no elevator in this 7 story hotel, and breakfast is in the basement, we did not eat at the hotel. The sink in our bathroom was stopped up the entire time we stayed, even after bringing this to the staff's attention. Some of the lamps did not have bulbs in them. They refused to give us more blankets saying the room has heat. They did however give us more towels. The walls are very thin, beware of your neighbors, they can hear you. The rooms are Europe small, but we did not come to Paris for the great hotel rooms. The shower is very small even by Europe standards, don't drop anything. The location of this hotel is great, just 3 blocks from a metro station, internet "cafe" and Poste. There are many cafes and bakeries on the same road. It is a very short walk to the Funiculer to Sacre-Coeur. If the staff was trained and breakfast included this could be a great place to stay.

For the price it was very good. Very clean, very friendly service. The only negative thing was that the door/walls were very thin...I was woken up numerous by people stumbling/walking by my door.

The Comfort Inn Sacre Coeur is a small hotel in the Monmarte district. Two metro stops are close by and it's located on Rue de Abasses which is lined with numerous shops, patiseries and cafes. The staff is very friendly they speak English and very always helpful. The only drawback to this hotel is that there is no lift so it's not recommended if you have lots of luggage or heavy luggage or if you have any physical disabilities that preclude stair climbing. The rooms are not air conditioned but the windows can all be opened for fresh air. With the windows closed the rooms are very quiet, but the street below can be quite noisy so if you're looking for quiet or solitude this hotel may not be for you in the summer. I stayed in a single room (twin bed) and by all standards this room is small and the bath contains only a very small shower. Continental breakfast is available and consists of coffee, orange juice and croissants. My Parisian collegues could not believe that I was able to stay in such a nice hotel for such a small tariff. I would definately stay here again and might even bring my wife here next time as I really liked the area.
