£70 for a double ensuite was very good value in such a nice hotel. Nice bar, swimming pool, Lovely. Only one negative comment & that was the room, 103, was bit noisy with traffic as it was at the front & on the ground floor. Also people passing the room on a morning going to breakast & staff passing room was a little annoying. Close enough to walk into the city centre. All in all very good. 8 out of 10.

Awful. Plug-in air freshners prominant to over-ride something less pleasant. Unable to open the hotel room window. Left after on night without breakfast. Enough said!

This is an "old style" hotel, which we liked as part of our holiday trip through UK. The only weird think was that it there was no way to get Internet access anywhere in the near1 mile ... :-( I had to send an important mail through BTOpenZone from a restaurant The breakfast was nice, but you have to ask for strong coffee, otherwise you get really nasty brown boiled water Apart from this, everything was OK

The location of hotel was fine though it did take 30 minutes to walk to York Minster but you could get a bus just across the road which ran every ten minutes so that is good. My husband and I were in one of the rooms located away from the main hotel accommodation it was called the Coach House this was not a problem but the room itself was very small. We booked B&B, the breakfast was fine and I would rate the restaurant staff ten out of ten they were very friendly, helpful and most professional.

This Hotel is not really good value for money. After paying over £100 a night I would of expected better. Had a huge problem with the room, very shabby and needed decorating, I have paid a lot less at other hotels in York and had better. Small TV and remote not working. Good points.....nice parking area, freindly staff, good food. Relaxing Bar area.

the hotel was easy to find, not to far from the centre of york, bus stop outside hotel so never used the car. The staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms very good,the food was very good, there was a problem with the boiler when we stayed but the staff had everthing organised and it did not cause any major problems. I would definately stay there again and recommend it to others.

This hotel is handily placed for York city centre,an easy 15 minute walk or adjacent to a bus stop if preferred.It has a large safe car park which is a bonus for a city hotel.Our room was beautiful,spacious and well decorated and definitely worth the small extra for a superior room.We only had breakfast and this was plentiful and well cooked.I would recommend the Hotel to anyone and hope to return.
