Due to the history of the building, they all vary in size but the majority are medium with a relaxing colour scheme and in very good condition, as are the bathrooms. As the name suggests, this hotel is located in the heart of Utrecht amongst the many shops, boutiques and restaurants that this lively city has to offer. The hotel rents out one of its restaurant to a brasserie style concept but the decor is one of the nicest hotel restaurants in the Netherlands. It is very traditional with dark wood, original paintings and chandeliers and candlelight and is very welcoming and inviting. The hotel also has a restaurant, where breakfast is served, which is also open all day and is more relaxed and laid back but both restaurants offer the discerning traveller respite from shopping and very good value for money food. The exterior of the hotel is a very attractive and traditional building dating back to the 18th century. The lobby is small and welcoming and intimate with one side leading to one restaurant and the other side of the lobby leading to the other restaurant.
