I stayed here in February 2008 with a group of 13. Several vehicles were broken in to in the car park that night, including mine and 2 colleagues. Two of the cars were parked immediately opposite the main entrance. In discussion with police, windscreen repairers and others, I got the distinct impression it was a regular occurrence.Hotel fine - don't use the car park

Very easy to find and plenty of parking space in pleasant surroundings with the water features.Conveniently situated for travel into City Centre.Reception folks were very efficient at both check in and check out.The shower was one of the best for water pressure that I have come across.The early start for breakfast at 06:30 was really good for making an early start at the office and the food was well prepared and presented.Excellent value for money. Wiil certainly book again for next business trip to Nottingham.

Good basic accomodation for the price of £50.00. Nice lobby and bar area, room ok, bathroom tired. Breakfast included was full cooked buffet which left alot to be desired but for the price you cant really complain too much.

Room was shabby. Furniture and fittings showing their age with soggy mattress and ancient TV. Cracked tiles in the bathroom and a shower like a hosepipe. No hot water in the morning. The room was cold and there is very poor sound insulation in this hotel. I could hear next door's conversations like they were in the same room.This hotel is probably the worst of the 50 or so I have stayed in over the last couple of years

Sister's entire wedding was here so was expecting great things. Hotel had nice entryway, but then was bland and Hampton Inn like. No restaurants/pubs nearby, no outdoor areas (just a parking lot and busy road). Luckily was 3 mins walk from the tram. Staff were rude. Hotel was noisy (drunk people banged on our doors at 4am). If you stay on Fri/Sat, make sure not over function room as parties will rattle your room til 1am. Bathrooms mouldy/cracked, no water pressure for morning shower and sink tap/faucet fell off. Rooms were a good size, bed great, English breakfast very good.

Hotel situated in a good location for the trams into the city center. Plenty of parking. Room was rather tired but comfortable.

staff were competent and friendly. room was quiet and had everything I needed. mugs please instead of cups and saucers! Convenient location. would use again on business trips and recommend to other colleagues.

I have always stayed at the Gateway on a regular basis, however I feel the standards are reducing everytime I go now. The staff are very helpful but the hotel has become noisy and unkempt.It would no longer be my first choice.
