took the kids to see London as Tourists! and hotel was great for them as they had views of the Thames and the Dome etc.

Very convenient, only 8 stops from Tower Hill on the Docklands Light Railway. This is a modern clean hotel in peacefull surroundings, apart from the odd aeroplane landing at London City Airport. I would recommend this as a family hotel due to the traffic free environment and ideal for leisurely evening walks around the old docks and the proximity of a watersports centre as well as other nearby child friendly attractions. We did not eat at this hotel, so cannot comment on the food, as there are other restaurants around the Dock Area to choose from. Excellent value for money really, apart from internet access and movies which tend to be on the steep side. Definitely recommended and would use this hotel again.

Excellent hotel, albeit location was a little further out of City than first thought, needed to use DLR and underground to get in and took 50+ minutes to get to Oxford Circus. Room was lovely size with bath and separate shower, great for couple. Facilities excellent. Staff at reception a little abrupt and could not find booking and made us feel as if it was our fault they hadnt checked their emails.

had problems with my check in , i booked a double room and was told i could only have a twin as no more left ..and was not told there was a restaurant ,so landed up having food at the bar ,and that was not good. the room i stayed in was 329 and had three pieces of carpet and a stain next to the bed ,for a four star this was not good ,excellent location for excel and car parking was only £12.00 per day not heard of in london .however i spoke to the operations manager in the morning and she dealt with my coments,due to this i will try this hotel again

Overnight stay in LondonGreat hotel and such friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately same comments about double sofa beds apply as having these made up make the rooms too small, and not sure that a child needs a double bed! Could you not get single sofa bed or fold away bed instead?

Decent room, no sky sports. Fitness room with cardio machines and weights bar is adequate if not a tad limited. sauna and steam room looked okay.

The Hotel is clean, modern and well located with easy access via DLR to the City and City Airport.Only one issue to report: having booked a non-smoking 4 person room (given the web availability information) at extra cost, I was allocated a double room on arrival - fine, as it was slightly cheaper, but it was a Disabled Room.As a Disabled Room, there is no shower curtain over the bath. Showering comfortably in the morning without flooding the bathroom floor proved difficult!

The only thing which perturbed me was the smell in the shower which my grandson commented on/ It was not dirty but had a disgusting smell.

The food in the restaurant is really nice, overpriced though, I'd expect to up to £10-15 at the most for a main course of that quality.However not the same can be said for the breakfast or the after midnight menu. That food is awful, I wouldn't have paid £2 for that breakfast.The foot massagers were a great addition to the hotel.A nice looking modern hotel with good accessibility to the DLR/Tube nearby.

This hotel does not have the facilities advertised - No pool, No childrens's play area & the hotel parking advertised costs £12 per night. This is NOT a family friendly hotel & NOT value for money. Better off staying at the Crown Plaza next door (which does have a pool!).

Clean but pricey hotel - although cheap for this location.The hotel itself is clean. modern looking and easy to get to from Royal Victoria underground.However this area of London is just stupidly expensive and unless you want to got to the Excel then I'd stay closer to central London where you can get equally good bargains.
