I booked three suites for a family vacation. The suites were large, clean, and comfortable. The only complaint was that the television in each suite was oddly positioned so that it was viewable only from the sleeping area. The historic district was roughly 15 minutes away by car and much of the route is through a residential area with large, historic homes. The hotel is across the street from a strip mall. Many good restaurants (e.g., Longhorn Steakhouse) are a short car ride away (less than five minutes)

This was such a nice stay for the money! I will definitely be staying again on my return trips to Savannah. They have honest-to-goodness suites, unlike many places that call their rooms a suite simply because they put a sofa in it. The hotel was beautifully decorated with a lovely center courtyard. It was very reminiscent of the many hotels and inns I have stayed at in Europe. The ambience of the hotel was very welcoming. Across the street diagonally is a wonderful seafood restaurant, and all around the hotel is about every major chain store and restaurant you can think of. So, while it is a short trek from the historic district (roughly 15 minutes) there are a lot of conveniences and a welcoming and charming atmosphere to return "home" to. For all the positives about this hotel, the price cannot be beat!

Our stay included a smoking room, when we had asked for non-smoking, very loud people in the area, lattice work dividing the ""bedroom"" from the ""living room"", and very old musty furniture.

My friends and I visited Savannah for the first time last New Year's and are returning again, partially because of the location of this hotel and its wonderful design and ammenities. You can't beat these accommodations for the price. We loved it and are coming back for more
