The Omni was chosen for it's location whichworked out perfectly. The bedding was wondeful and everything seemed fairly clean ...until...I sat down in the tub...there was BLACK MOLD in the soap holder, in the cracks on the walls between the tile, all under the tile overhang above the tub and completely around the toilet bowl. Needless to say I drained the tub and took a shower...I really don't care for showers. Oh yes...the toilet leaked as well...The staff were very helpful but I was disappointed. I travel extensively and don't think I will return. we needed color copies for a business meeting and their printer was broken, so the man in the business center took the jump drive to another part of the hotel, printed the presentation and delivered it to our room. They try! We booked online for a weekend package and got a room on the 10th floor with a view of the windows of another building...but we weren't there too much.

We stayed at the Omni from Feb. 12-15 and it was wonderful. We arrived early and checked in immediately and stayed on the top floor in a large luxurious suite. The location was convenient to the bus down Michigan Avenue so we were able to get to museums, restaurants, and parks easily. The staff was incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly. Breakfast at the 676 restaurant was fresh and delicious with a huge variety to select from. The staff went out of their way to be kind and courteous. We definitely recommend the Omni hotel!

I took my boyfriend for his birthday in December '08. We had an amazing time and the Omni was definitely a great choice. I agonized for weeks about which hotel to stay at (it always seemed that just as I was about to pick one, a really negative review would pop up!) I had no reason to worry. I upgraded to the one big room instead of the small suite (the charge to upgrade varied anywhere from $* to $*, depending on the day and time I looked it up) and I was very happy with the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the view was nice and the location was absolutely amazing. We were within walking distance of almost everythig (and even when we took a cab, it was never more than $10). We didn't go to the gym or pool but we did eat at the restaurant. The brunch was amazing but we went for an afternoon snack and it was a little disappointing. They didn't have any of the ""usual bar foods"" and popcorn (which was delicious) and a cheese plate cost us around $30. The staff was incredibly nice, always greeting us and patient and helpful with directions and advice on where to go/eat/visit. We also were able to check in about an hour early and check out an hour late with no problem. The front desk also held our bags after we checked out so we could sightsee before we went to the airport. There is no place you can stay where everyone will be satisfied all the time, but as far as our visit went, for the price, I would absolutely stay at the Omni again.

I am not a complete clean freak, but expect when I check into an all suite hotel, where I paid to be upgraded to have the room clean upon checking in. The desk glass top was dirty with crumbs and a drinking glass had sticky smudges on it. I took the glass down and spoke with the hotel manager, who was excellent btw, and moved to a new room. I should have had her come with because that room had a can of SKOAL sitting on the closet shelf, a dirty glass desktop and coffee table, and a wadded up panty hose in the corner. I gave up at that point. The staff here is EXCELLENT however, but their housekeeping is horrible. They need to train them better.
