Quality city hotelThis hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Barcelona, close to the metro, La Rambla and the port. The hotel itself is very modern inside and has been very tastefully redesigned. The lounge and courtyard are lovely - very relaxing. There is even free water, tea, coffee and fruit each day (no milk though!) Not the cheapest, but value for money given you're in Barcelona. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that.

A good place to stayHotel Onix Liceo was in a great location for everything you'd want to see in Barcelona. The only drawback we found was that the road it is in was pretty shabby and I didn't feel too secure walking down in after dark. A few 'unsavoury' characters hanging around. The hotel itself is clean and very servicable. Don't stay here if you are looking for character and sumptious decor but it is perfectly adequate for a short stay in Barcelona. The rooms were clean but pretty minimalistic. Our bathroom was good with a great walk-in shower but it was VERY slippery and we felt, quite dangerous. There was no safe in the room and no full length mirror. The downstairs outside patio was lovely and the fact that water, coffee, tea and fruit was always available free of charge was great. Free internet access was also a plus. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

mirrorsOnly one mirror in room. Rooms need a mirror in addition to the one in the bathroom. Suggest it goes where the table, chair and power sockets are. Also room lighting a little poor. Needs a centre ceiling light instead of numerous spotlights that get too hot to adjust once they've been on for a few minutes.Everything else, very good.
