They let us check in early. Hard to get coffee in the morning. A nice place for the money. Good value.

we stayed at this hotel to my surprize it was an excellant vacation with our grandchildren ages 7and 9 years of age. We wanted to stay out of the strip and the Orleans was perfect. Our room was very nice and clean. Quiet, and our room was cleaned every day. Fresh towels, coffee the grandchildren enjoyed the movies, bowling and I actually did a little gambling. We drove and parked our car and actually used the shuttle which was very nice to and from the strip. Our whole expierence at the Orleans was great! The kids loved it!!. Will stay again

Clean. There isn't anything! I was so pleasantly surprised! It was the best! I have stayed at the Rio and paid a lot more and was not as happy. Every detail in our room was so clean and well cared for. The staff was so pleasant. I came home a walking billboard for the Orleans! They have 70 bowling lanes and theaters!

I did not like that you had to pay a fee to use what use to be free! (pool, internet, in room coffeepot.) I will definitely reconsider this hotel because of the extra fee they charge now. Will probably do my own reservations in the future.

Great food, lots of activities with the bowling center and theater. Far from strip internet was 11.99. I loved the Orleans, room service was great, staff was friendly, rooms were clean, gambling was great not crowded, pool was nice, breakfast buffet was good, awesome Mexican food at Don Miguel's', valet was fast, great place for families or anyone wanting a peaceful less stressful Vegas trip.

We arrived at the Orleans after midnight after a hassle with our reservation for our rental car. The clerk was friendly, and said our room was ready for us. It was a very nice room, clean and comfortable. At the price that we booked the room, it could have been otherwise. So, the large quiet room was a nice surprise.

As always we love the Orleans. Disappointed that some of the slots had buttons that did not work. Attributed that to the economy, thinking that the casino just was conserving money. We noticed broken slots in alot of other casinos. But will always return to the Orleans. My son stayed there also with us for the first time and said he would go back and stay there next time. Great trip and very economical including the restaurants.

I spent the 12-15 July 2009 here and was quite pleasantly surprised. The rooms are spacious and always clean and orderly (maid staff would get the rooms cleaned quickly if you put the sign on your door.) In-room safes and coffee-makers are also a big plus - especially if you get ahead and the money is burning a hole in your pocket! The buffet was a real bargain and you also get a discount if you show your players club card. Omelets and eggs to order was a big plus. Plenty of coctail waitresses around and I never had long to wait for a drink when ordered. The movie plex, bowling alley, pool, and wide-variety of restaurantes within the resort make it nice get away from the gaming on occasion. Likewise, the shuttle bus to the strip and to the Gold Coast - right across the street from the Palms - made it very convenient to explore without need of a car rental. Also, taxi rates from the mid-strip to the hotel are only about $12. As for the casino portion - I was also amazed at the size and variety of machines (vid poker and slots) as well as impressed with the large and modern sports book. Overall, the casino interior was spacious, clean, and easy to maneuver. A few of the other, larger strip hotels casinos seemed small, dirty, and understaffed. (Paris and Treasure Island come to mind, although I did take the Paris for $600 on a quarter slot.) Overall I give the Orleans a 4/5 rating and the next trip I make to Vegas in November I will be certain to book the Orleans.

I am a widow and this was my first vacation in many years. I read wonderful things about The Orleans so I decided to give the hotel a shot. I was pleasantly surprised with the overall attentiveness of the staff and felt completely safe (I traveled solo). By the end of the trip, I felt like I had found a new home. The room was very clean and spacious and I found the $* resort fee well worth the money because the health club and in-room coffee was a welcome treat. The swimming pool was a nice size and I loved the large whirlpool. Food was plentiful and fairly priced. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet with the array of fresh fruit and other selections. Baskin Robbins was wonderful and enjoyed my hot fudge sundae. Service was great from the the restaurants to housekeeping. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel. $* a day extra for stuff we never used. We had a 6:00 p.m. flight and asked if we could have a later check out time. We were told we could have until 1:00 p.m. but the day we were to leave the front desk called and said we only had until 12:30 NOT 1:00.

We just got back from The Orleans and was blown away by the quality of their rooms, the food and amenities. There is a daily $5.00 resort fee added to what you pay on Travel online (which I think sucks, and Travel online let's it go on) but it was considerably lower than other resort fees charged in other casino's. The rooms are huge, clean and remodeled. The housekeeping was superb and the slots were loose for us. The French Market Buffet was OK (a great price!). The pool was large (yet shallow). There is a complimentary shuttle that will bring you to the strip, which landscape has changed drastically (half built hotels abondoned because of the poor economy). We found little need to go to the strip because The Orleans was superb!

For the money i was thinking this would not be a really nice hotel but was pleasantly surprised. The room is as large as other hotels I have stayed in on the strip. Nice room with a nice bathroom. Lots of different games to play. Its not the venetian but it is a nice, clean hotel that is reasonable priced. I usually stay at the venetian with my daughters but this hotel is very nice and happy to stay here. If you do not walk this is a little out of the way and it is sometimes harder to get a taxi but we didnt have to wait too long.

The check-in person was quick and curteous. She offered a club card at check-in which I didn't expect because usually at other casinos, you have to stand in another line to get your club card. I have stayed at this hotel and casino before and it offiers value for your dollar e.g. you have a bowling alley, a movie theatre and several retaurants within the hotel. The hotel is off the strip, but there is a free shuttle that the hotel provides to the strip every 20 mins. One area I dislike is charging a resort fee, even when you do not use the work out facility or the internet. The resort fee is $* a day per room which is better than some hotels that charge $* a day.

Very clean, huge pool, good housekeepers. Cocktail waitresses never offered me a drink! I was charged $10.00 at leaving for an unknown expense! Nice place to stay, but I was charged $5.00 per night for something! I don't know what it was but they charged it to my credit card! The cocktail waitresses never offered me a drink while I was gambling!

This is the fourth time I've stayed at The Orleans and it just seems to get better each time. Everything was spot on and the only critique I can give is that the rooms need bottle openers in them. Other than that, and lack of parking spaces when they have an event in the arena, and forces you to either use valet parking or drive around looking for a convenient space, this is the best all around hotel I've stayed at in the nine years straight I've been going to Vegas.

The accessibility of staff, food, and entertainment was incredibly high. Door to room opens to bed (lack of privacy), no primer for new gamblers. If you've visited Las Vegas before, there is more to see than just the strip. The Orleans offers gaming and slots, excellent dining, and access to urban commerce. If you want to see the strip again, a free shuttle can take you back and forth.
