We were on the top room and there was about 5 flights of stairs and when we got to our room it hadnt been cleaned. We then had to wait for an hour for our room to get cleaned. The rooms were ok for the money but the toilet didnt smell very nice!

This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in.I have booked many hotels in London, But this one really shouldn't be on your book's.The room was duty, the carpet didn't look like it had been cleaned in weeks and the bathroom, you could'nt even close the door to go to the toilet the water ran everywhere, we looked out of the window and couldn't even see daylight thought the rubble left in the courtyard.I'm sorry to say never again will i go to this hotel and recomend no one does.

Blocked Toilet and AntsI arrived late; around midnight. My room was on the 4th floor. There was no lift only stairs (which was fine with me). Upon entering the room I was enveloped in a pretty fowl smell. I looked around and it looked pretty grubby, the TV remote celotaped together. Three beds cramped in space fit for one single. I decided to investigate the source of the smell. On opening the door to the 'on suite' the smell became nostril burningly potent. T'was very bad indeed. The toilet was blocked and the flush was broken. The room staff had 'solved' this problem by poring some liquid on it and leaving it!!I went down to reception to report the problem. The helpful chap came up 5 minutes later and muttered something about the smell coming form the drainage. Alas, this put my mind at rest, the smell was from shit festering in the pipes - lovely. He left full of apologies, the problem still there and no other rooms for me to rest my weary head in.Tapping on my limited knowledge of cistern mechanics i managed to flush the offending matter away eventually. The smell dissapated slowly.I went for breakfast the next morning (not inluded in the price I paid extra for this). It was self service. I toasted some bread and it was moldy. As I was eating my cornflakes there was a parade of ants along the breakfast bar. Needless to say this was not my most enjoyable stay in London. Should I have expected more for 35 notes per night???

i was dissapointed with this hotel. from the outside, the hotel looks very quaint and appealing, but on entering the room, i was shocked at how small it was. i booked a quad room as there were 4 adults arriving back from brussels late at night and thought that it would be sufficient for us. the description said a double and a twin or 2 doubles, yet we had a double bed and a shaky metal bunk bed. the beds were extremely close together and the bunks were up against the window. the ensuite was very poor, it was so small, that you could hardly turn around and the shower was inches away from the toilet. the ensuite was about a foot and a half away from the front door of the room, so there wasnt much privacy. there was no fan in the bathroom or ventilation and the toilet was very stained. the facilities in the room were very basic and the plug points were located on the bottom of the mirror which was hanging on the wall. my hairdryer kept switching on and off and got very hot when plugged in. i stayed in the euston travel lodge a week prior to this booking for less than half the price and the difference in quality was tremendous. the only good thing that can be said is that the room was clean and the bedding was also clean and tidy. if you are happy to put up with the lack of facilities and simply want a bed for the night, then this is adequate.

This place needs some serious TLC from shower fittings and lighting hanging from ceiling exposing electric cables, bulbs and covers missing from wall lights, to a kettle that because of short lead will not reach the floor and can only be used from ontop of a wardrobe. If they got a handyman in this could all be done within 1 hour. Also wash the paintwork.

The reception staff were friendly and the location was great. Value for money, it was worth it. However, the bathroom wasnt very clean and there were light fittings hanging out of the wall.
